Installed this humidity sensing switch replacing a really old school fan timer in our laundry room that had an analog clock in it with metal tabs to set time intervals. Installation was simple and wired up exactly as the old timer. Tested it by blowing on it and it immediately turned the fan on when sensing humidity from my breath. The instructions that came with it for programming are totally incorrect and mention being able to set the time for how long it runs, which is not possible. After researching this I actually found the correct installation guide online which states the time is runs is always 20 minutes and is not adjustable. You can only adjust the humidity sensitivity to three preset settings and that's it.Programming:- The fan button will be used for programming- Pay close attention to the LED lights as it will flash to indicate successfulprogramming steps and each time the button is pressed while making selections.- After each step, there are only 20 seconds to make the next programmingselection. If a selection has not been made, time will expire and the LED light willflash 3 times and exit programming mode.There’s only one Programmable FunctionFunction 1: Humidity level (Humidity Range 45% 65% 80%)- Setting 1: Low humidity sensitivity 45% (requires little humidity to trigger)- Setting 2 (Default): Medium humidity sensitivity 65%- Setting 3: High humidity sensitivity 80% (requires high humidity to trigger)To program the humidity sensor, you must first enter programming mode:STEP 1: Enter Programming ModePress and hold the fan button for eight seconds until the LED indicator comes on.STEP 2: Choose the SettingPress the fan button the same number of times as the SettingNumber (For example: Press the button 2 times to select Medium detection 65%).After the last button is pressed the sensor will flash back the current settingfor that function 10 times at two-second intervals. Great little humidity switches. Programming is easy and is well laid out in the manual, and they seem to function well. They look nice and wired in easily. Good value at $43.19 for two, they were around $35 each at my local Home Depot. Note that they do require a hot (black) neutral (white) and ground (green or bare) to wire in. My original switches were not wired that way but luckily the connections I needed were in there folded back. Simple DIY that protects from mold and saves my kids a step every shower. Before and after pictures attached, I found new wall plates at Home Depot for around $2.50 each.

I bought this to replace a wifi switch that was being triggered by a wifi humity sensor.It works fine on the default setting.When set to be more sensitive, the results were not what I expected - seemed to fail and eventually I set it back to default.IF you manually operate the fan switch,THEN let it run through the timed circuit (20 mins I think) if you manually turn it off, I THINK that may where we run into terrible and messes up the settings for auto sensing - MAYBE I am wrong - I haven't figured that out. We found it to work better if you use it manually then let it shut itself off.My understanding is IF it runs for 20 mins and the humidity is still high then it will shut off for 2? mins and then turn back on (maybe it's 5). I don't know why they designed this cycle. Sometimes it runs 20 mins turns off for a short min and then turns right back on.I found that you can breath on it to trigger it on too. Why breath on it ? I was just goofing off.I don't think this design qualifies for a 5 star rating but it's a good 4 - the instructions could have been written much better - I wasn't able to find out what the RED light means when it's on or cycling in the automatic mode. Maybe it says so in the instructions -All this said, I have been in home automation since the early 2000's and settled with this switch rather than trying to use a smart switch. I didn't find a great solution and this was my compromise. I may try another name brand to see if I can get better results. But could buy this brand again

Do not buy this item. I've ordered two both didn't work correctly. Did a humidity test with my water boiling kettle heavy steam right up against the sensor did not turn on tried it on all humidity sensor settings. Also does not turn off automatically ever. So it runs all day until you hear the fan when walking by and turn it off manually. I thought I had a defective unit so ordered another, reset all the settings multiple times to ensure it wasn't user error and never could get it to work as advertised. Also, no response or way to contact manufacture to address directly. Probably the worst experience I've had on Amazon so far and nothing to do with Amazon. Buying another one from a different brand hopefully I'll get better results. Caveat emptor!

Replaced an existing fan switch. Easy to install. Fits perfectly in the existing cover plate. Set to medium humidity setting. Fan comes on within a minute of turning the shower on, even if I don't switch it on manually. Automatically switches off when humidy drops. Illuminated switch is a nice touch.

I ordered two of these for a remodel to clear out steam in a kids bathroom after they stand in there until the water run cold. Read the instructions and it works great. The key is to let it do its job or if you turn it on, dont turn it off. It will turn off automatically.Had an issue where one was running excessively and they sent me a new one without any issues. Very happy with product and customer support.

I am very satisfied with this humidity sensor switch, easy to manually select and it will also turn ON or shut itself OFF. I have had it turn ON while showering, and afterward I walk out to my bedroom to dress it has continued to run until it senses it should shut OFF.It has a nice decorative style.I finished the dual outlet, one for the lighting over the mirror, with a screwless cover plate.It is things like that that make my small bathroom much like having a spa at home.

Working perfectly as expected. Comes on automatically when needed, turns off by itself when its done.Really like it.

Although the scary reviews. I decided to try my luck and ordered 2. came on time. very easy to assemble and configure and working fine. however sometimes yes turning on might be delayed but its OK. I don't expect 100% accuracy of few dollars sensor. the sensor light is very bright so its better to shut the bathroom door in case the switch is facing the door.Cheers !

Le programme est facile a faire. par contre, la detection d'humidité n'est jamais bonne. des fois ca démarre sans que l'humidité soit élevé. des fois le contraire. Humdité élevé mais il ne fonctionne pas.mode manuel 30 min. ca ne fonctionne pas non plus. il reste allument tout le temps

Had to rewire but finally installed unit and it is working as advertised. Set Humidity to High, again, took a few time to get it right, but in the end, all is working.
