The Seiko wall clock works very well for quite a few years but once it stops, it’s very difficult to get it to work again. Which is why I bought this clock.

The wall clock is working fine now. I went to a local vendor, and they told me that there is a common issue with some Seiko wall clocks. If you insert a Duracell battery, the clock often doesn’t work properly because Duracell cells are slightly heavier and thicker. However, the moment they replaced it with a Philips battery, the clock started working smoothly, and it has been running perfectly since yesterday. So this is a small suggestion for all Seiko users: either ensure that the clocks are adapted to work with Duracell batteries, or inform users not to use Duracell and instead use a non-Duracell brand like Philips. This will be helpful for many Seiko users, because I am sure others might also be facing this issue. It is a bit strange, somewhat funny, and maybe even a little stupid — but it’s true. No offence, but this is an honest suggestion for Seiko. I will also spread awareness and inform people that if they are buying Seiko watches or wall clocks, they should avoid using Duracell batteries, as the clocks may stop working.

Looks exactly like the image shown, size is not too big ,not too small, for hall/room. Simple and elegant, no noise. Big font makes easy to see. Was packed well along with 1 cell.

I'm a school teacher and the clock we had in our classroom I could hear ticking away when the kids weren't in the room and it would drive me crazy while making lessons and doing paperwork. It also has no numerals, no second hand and was wildly inaccurate for a quartz clock. So I threw that one out and replaced it with my own clock from an actual horology brand. This Seiko clock is very quiet. I don't hear it unless I literally put my ear up to it and it is still quiet. The 2nd reason I like it is as a classroom clock is it is very easy to read with large numerals which is great if you want to teach your students the ancient art of reading an analog clock. 😂 Can't recommend it more for school or even an office or work place. At home my wall clock has Roman Numerals and is more ornate but it goes with the vibe of my study. Maybe could go well in a modern or minimalist kitchen, I don't know. This is a no frills, super legible, accurate and quiet clock from a real clock/watch maker. I don't think you can beat this one for the price. 100% value for money in my opinion and it's a Seiko! I'd rather have a real Seiko clock on my wall than any of those fake Rolex clocks. And I have the same opinion as far as watches go. If you are thinking about a getting a fake luxury watch, take that money and buy a Seiko.
