By far the best investment and perfect for those in an apartment/condo! I have a 5 month old pup who cannot go outside enough to relieve herself. I live in an apartment complex, so taking her outside every 30-60 minutes to potty train isn’t the easiest especially while working from home, not to mention those late night and early morning moments she needs to go to the bathroom. I have this on my porch and she has had no problem going on this. It has saved me during those 3 AM calls so I don’t have to take her all the way downstairs and outside. I love the idea that she’ll have this when the weather gets bad so it will be easier to have her stay consistent with potty training throughout the winter and easier for me!! My only regret is not getting a bigger size (she likes to walk and squat). If you’re on the fence, buy buy buy!!

Update: the grass smells disgusting. The urine doesn’t always go through it, so when I change the pad urine spills off. Gross. I am not sure how often I am supposed to hose it off (warm now, so u can do it outside), but hosing it off and letting it dry takes time. I still kinda like it, but it’s gross, I’m sure what to do, I hope my doggie gets used or just a pad, so I can toss the grass, because I don’t want my house to smell like urine. Original review: I bought this for my mature Maltese. The weather has been really bad and it’s very cold for her. She took to it within a week, I put it out where she has her little accidents and then I moved it out of the middle of the room and she continued to use it. My one complaint is the black padding gets disgusting. I washed in the washing machine with oxy wash, soap and in the sanitary cycle and it’s still stunk. I soaked it in vinegar and dawn and OXY and it’s still stinks so I have went to disposable pads. The shredding of the grass is not a problem for me. There were a couple that shredded off when I washed it in the tub, but my dog is not a digger or a chewer so it’s not a problem.

Gave it a 5 star gor the quality and fit. I had to return it because my chihuahua kept hitting the grass and pulling it out of the base. I like that it has 2 tray and 1 pad plus the grass., 1 to place under the grass pad with holes so the pee would not stay on the grass, the tray in the bottom woul collect the pee. It also had a pad

I don't know if this is the worst product I've ever ordered from Amazon but tracking urine everywhere ranks pretty high up there, don't do it. I should have listened to other reviewers about this product. I own another product by another brand that I purchased 2 weeks prior to purchasing this one (Frisco brand from another website). I was really disappointed because the one I purchased didn't have all of the options of this one. A absorbancy pad as the largest selling point for me, I ordered the 4 layer system. I read the reviews and gave it a shot, I figured how bad could it be, I have a 2.8 lb puppy to use this for "accidental" instances, it is NOT his primary place to go as he has a very large turf filled backyard. The bad: The turf is so weak. Where I live turf is the primary product, my yard is 4 years old and still looks brand new. This turf, is frayed on all corners and side. I have turf pieces from this mat all over my floors. He does NOT chew on the pad and yet it looks like it is falling apart on all edges. My 2 week older turf, still looks brand new. My outside turf, and cut turf pieces I have outside from my existing lawn, also look brand new. The quality of this turf piece is seriously lacking. The VERY VERY bad: It puddles!!! What is going on with the turf that it doesn't flow through to the mat..or is the problem that the absorbancy mat is defective, either way very little urine puddled causing little pee paws to track urine all over my hardwood floors and carpet. My Frisco mat, no puddling. My turf outside, does not puddle, even when I have severe rain. I mean I have to be raining for days or getting flash flooding for my outside turf to puddle and that's a massive amount of water. This pad is getting occasional light pee puddles from a 2.8 lb puppy and it is not draining. The app was having a problem uploading images so I'll try again later. Here you'll see the frayed edges of this mat. I'll also include images of my older pad and I can also take images of my lawn. Please find a higher quality of turf, pad, or re-engineer your product, no one wants little pee paws all over their house.

Worth Every Penny! As a busy mom, I don’t have time for constant cleanups… and this dog grass pad with tray solved that for me. So I have a 13 year old chihuahua and we live in NYC. It has been 10 degrees or lower at night for the past couple of weeks and getting her to potty in boots is…soo difficult. She doesn’t do well in the cold. This miracle arrived today and I took it outside and gave the pee pee potty command AND SHE DID IT!!! I laughed. I cried. My dog didn’t freeze to death taking a piss. Happiest moment of 2026. The end.

Not good at draining urine. Would lift up and urine would leak down when turned vertically. Urine smell wouldn’t go away either as much as I cleaned it (which was daily). Additionally my puppy’s paws began smelling a lot like urine and so did his bed in his crate as a result. Wouldn’t recommend this product.
