I read a lot of positive reviews about this bed, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. I'm glad I did. I'm absolutely shocked at the quality of this bed for the price. To clarify, one of the things I wanted to know before I bought it was the actual color. It is a true deep navy blue and it looks like linen. It's gorgeous. It does not look like blue jean material, as a couple people described it. Assembly was a breeze and it was only by picture. Not many parts and I believe you could put it together if you didn't have any instructions at all. Not a lot of pieces. The little bit of hardware there was, was nicely packaged. No tools required. The frame and assembly pieces are in the back of the head board, in a zippered pouch. Very cool idea! But what I was really pleased with, as I put the bed together was how sturdy everything was. Once the frame was put together I was really surprised to find that there were velcro strips on the rails and the slats are firmly stabilized once velcroed to the bed rails. The slats go from the headboard all the way to the footboard which is really great for a platform bed, especially since I bought a memory foam mattress, also by Zinus. I had a full bed with a Zinus mattress and bought one for my queen bed because they are incredible for the price, as well. I went with an 8-inch mattress for this bed so that a lot of the headboard can be seen. Even if I'd gone with a 10 inch mattress it still would leave a lot of headboard to look at which is nice. Anything thicker than that and a lot of the headboard would be lost. Once it was all put together, my next question was going to be how sturdy was the entire bed going to be? Would the headboard be moving back and forth or hitting the wall or moving around? Nope. Sturdy and solid. Same thing when I get in the bed, am laying in the bed or getting off the bed. It's been a couple of weeks and no bad news to report. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

We purchased this bed for a guest bedroom. This bed is awesome. Typically whenever assembling products, most instructions, leave much to be desired, although we watched the video before the bed arrived, it was completely unnecessary as the bed is very intuitive to put together, and the instructions are extremely clear. The bed looks much more expensive than it is, and is very sturdy and very supportive for new memory foam mattress. Everything fit perfectly, this is not a cheap bed even though the price is not reflective of that. This bed is a very good value as it was a breeze to put together, we have been putting together furniture that we have purchased from Amazon and other sources recently, and the ease of which this thing goes together is just amazing. It’s really cool how they packaged all the parts you need into the headboard behind the zipper and although we have not done it yet, that could be a potential space for storage. Although I know it’s not good to use power tools on these assembly jobs. The little Allen key they give you normally makes the job so difficult that more often then I’d like to admit I bust out the impact, driver, and end up putting the items together that way. Usually it’s not a problem, but I have had some cheaper products were the screws are both have broken under the stress of a power tool. They had the brilliant idea to include a rachet with an Allen key, which curbed any desire to use power tools in assembling this product, even though they were in the room with me. All in all, it took less than 20 minutes to get this bed put together and it’s extremely comfortable with our new memory, foam, mattress, and sturdy. Would recommend and give extra stars, is it possible?.

I've been searching for a quality affordable platform bed for literally years. For some reason, all the beds I've looked at up to this point just didn't seem to meet my needs aesthetically, or they were way beyond my budget. I read the positive reviews of this bed by Zinus and felt it was worth a shot. I also was enticed by the beautiful blue color of the fabric headboard and the ingenious design of storing the bed parts in a panel behind the headboard. It shipped in a box that was manageable enough for me to bring into the house by myself. All the parts were included, and I had no issues with the instructions. I was able to assemble this bed by myself with absolutely zero problems. It's extremely sturdy and doesn't budge during the night. I am using a foam mattress that I previously owned, and I find the sturdiness of the bed frame combined with the comfort of the mattress makes for the perfect night's sleep. I really do love the look of the headboard. It's a rich blue that I love so much I've taken to refinishing my mid-century night stand to match. I have recommended this bed to many of my friends who can't believe the affordable pricing. Don't be skeptical about the price, this is a quality made bed and you will NOT regret your purchase. One of the best purchases I've made!

I bought this particular frame for several reasons, the platform height, I didn't want a low sitting bed, the head board height, which is higher than most of the Zinus frames, wanted a frame where mattress set on top, not in frame, for ease in changing linens and of course the price was the best. It was perfect for all reasons I purchased. I read all the reviews and was afraid of getting misaligned screw holes or wrong parts, but it came perfectly. I did go to youtube and watch a video of a Zinus frame being put together, which helped me a lot. I could not find the exact frame, but the ones I watched were similar enough that it made putting this together a breeze with little referencing enclosed instructions, mainly used instructions for which screws go where. I am a 100 pound 60 year old woman, getting the box, as delivered, to my bedroom would have been impossible for me. I opened box at door, unzipped the back compartment and carried the pieces to the bedroom. Head board was a breeze to move once it was unloaded of parts. Right away I thought I had a problem with misaligned screws holes, the head board legs are marked 1 and 2, figuring it wouldn't make a difference I grabbed a leg and holes were off. I looked at instructions and it said 1 on left side, 2 on right side...after switching them the holes lined up perfectly. I then had the same problem a few people mentioned about head board screws not going all the way in...this was easily solved by using the proper method of screwing things down, which is to not tighten them one at a time, but put them all in and screw each one down a few turns at a time, so they all go evenly. This made a huge difference and each screw went all the way in easily with this method. To put side rails on you have to removed one screw that is already in place and the rails will slip right on. Looking at the individual parts I was not to confident this would be a sturdy bed frame, after putting it together, I'm impressed and feel confident it will hold up, it feels rock solid. My only concern is the wood slats might not be the best, but those are easily replaceable. I do, however, really like the idea of holding them in place with velcro and if I replace, will add velcro to the new ones. I am more then pleased with this frame and the ease of setting it up. It was delivered to door at 5pm, by 7:30 pm I had removed old bed frame, set up new frame, put linens on and was laying in my new bed...and that was by myself...I'm a little old lady!!

The price and quality and bed platform receive 5 stars. It is worth it to buy it, and I would recommend it to a friend. But I would tell that friend to have a helping-hand or a team-of-hands standing by on the day of delivery. Unless you are a power lifter. One star is for the shipping process and assembly process. Some things were not labeled very well or labeled at all. I would still buy this again even though I strongly don't like the shipping process. The assembly process was not bad, more annoying than anything. I understand shipping in one box may be cheaper or may ensure that the whole platform arrives at the correct address. But it is unwieldy in one box, too difficult to manage in one box for one person. This is a very nice looking bed platform that does not occupy the entire room. It is sleek and leaves a lot of space in a small room. I am glad I purchased it. That said, it is way too heavy for one box. My UPS driver was a strong guy, and he could not get it up ten steps. Luckily, I was home and was able to help him get it up the stairs. Unluckily, I hurt my lower-back helping lift the box up the stairs. Once inside my apt, it was so heavy I could barely slide it from the living room to the bedroom. I had to stand it up on the long/wide edge and slide it while balancing it. I would recommend packaging the headboard and the sideboards together. The wood slats and metal frame could be sent in a separate package. Both packages could be secured together with cuttable plastic straps. When the UPS driver gets it to the residence, the driver can cut the plastic straps and deliver each box to the customer's door step, which would be manageable for one driver and for one customer. It would also be manageable if there were more people involved in the shipping and receiving process (a family could handle two boxes just as easily as one person could handle two boxes).

I received this in the full size about a week ago. The FedEx guy actually helped me push it into the front of my apartment which was nice of him, as it was quite heavy; fortunately I never had to lift it. I pushed the large box into the bedroom, cut the cardboard carefully with a scissor blade, lay it on its side and slid out the headboard. Sure enough, on the back there was a sticker saying to unzip it, that everything is inside. After taking stock of what was included, I started assembling the bed. It took me just about an hour or so to assemble. The included Allen ratchet was excellent; I don't think it explains, but you push the metal part in the middle to the right as you screw in the screw and then push that little metal part to the left to help release the ratchet from the screw. Once I figured this out, assembly was pretty straightforward; you just have to make sure you put in the parts labeled 1 and 2 on the correct sides of the headboard, plus notice that the side boards parts H and I are reversed on the left and right sides. As for how the bed looks, I think it is beautiful and looks like a more expensive bed. I lay my newly purchased 13" heavenly Avocado Green with Pillowtop mattress (highest rated in "Consumer Reports") on it to let it fully expand and in a short while was able to test out the bed. The bed frame was sturdy, even and didn't squeak when I tried bouncing on the mattress. I can lay my head on the headrest while sitting on the bed, and it feels nice, soft and padded against my head. It just looks like a real grown-up bed with the matching blue soft material on the footboard of the bed as well on the left and right sides in addition to the comfy headboard. I'm very pleased thus far and hope, based on some of the other reviews, that this bed will last for years to come. The Avocado Green people actually recommended, among a few places, that I look at Zinus for a bed frame, and I'm so pleased I found this one. Also, there's about 7 inches height of storage space underneath which gives me ample room for some long plastic 6 1/2 inch high Container Store storage on wheels which I had. Plus the headboard, now clear of all the bed parts it came with, can be a good storage spot for things you might want out of sight -- just make sure it doesn't interfere with the feel of the nice comfy padding material. So this is a very functional as well as beautiful piece of furniture, and I highly recommend it.

Color me impressed. ZINUS figured it out. This bed has been fantastic. From the initial unboxing to the setup, it was a great experience. I have never purchased a bed online before, but everything was very cleverly (and safely) packaged INSIDE the headboard. After you get it, you just unzip it and it's all neatly packaged in there. The setup instructions were also incredibly clear and straightforward (and a little fun, too!). They also include a pretty solid ratchet hex tool which makes putting this thing together a breeze. The way it's built allows for even a single person to do this project alone (which I did). Probably took about an hour to do the full setup, so not too bad at all. In terms of the quality, it really does feel quite luxurious for the price. The materials all feel pretty good quality, both in terms of the build quality as well as the fabric. We ended up getting an online hybrid mattress (specifically from Layla). The king size hybrid from Layla clocks in at nearly 150 lbs, and this bed has had no trouble with it whatsoever. It does shake, rattle, squeak, or anything. Fortunately beds are not something you have to buy too often, but if I had to get another one, I'd get this one in a heartbeat. For the look, quality, and price - look no further!

Very happy with the quality of this bed. Ordered the blue, it is a deep earthy blue, looks accurate compared to their photos. The quality is surprisingly nice, I worried about this when ordering something I hadn’t seen in person. It arrived nicely packaged (though the box had some damage) and in good condition. It was easy to put together. This came with many wood support slats so the mattress can go directly onto this frame with no box spring needed. You could still use a box spring, but we wanted ours as low as possible since it’s for a 5 year old and so we skipped the box spring. The bed does not squeak when you move around. The headboard is solid and there is no horizontal gap where the headboard ends and the mattress begins, this is nice because if there was a gap, the pillows would slide back and fall behind the bed. Our mattress is a full and we ordered the full size frame. I’m guessing the full and queen frames are the same size, so if you have a full size mattress like we do, be aware that the frame is larger in length and width, so you have maybe 2” along all sides where the mattress doesn’t touch the edges of the frame. This gap is not ideal for little kids, but so far no one has gotten a foot or toy stuck in the side gaps. The back of the headboard is plain fabric and not the same blue fabric as the rest of the bed, this is worth noting in case you planned to position your bed where the back side of the headboard would show. I did not notice any odors when opening this bed. Overall very happy and I would absolutely buy this bed again.

I normally wait a while b4 I submit a review & while I will eventually add an update to this review, I couldn't wait to say WELL DONE ZINUS! Clearly, good CS is NOT dead! LOVE the 'thank you' cards. Of all the furniture I have had to put together over the years... Zinus bedframes are HANDS DOWN the easiest 2 put together-It only took about an hr (by myself)😊 The pieces r very strong & stable & well put together! The instructions r simple to follow AND easy to understand...And Not only is my bed now very well supported & 'squeak free', but also LOOKS great! I can see why Zinus gets such great reviews because I spent ALOT of time trying to find a decent frame that wouldn't cost a crazy amount of $$$...to get such a well built,comfortable & beautiful looking frange for around $200 is a RARE FIND! If you are struggling to find a frame for your bed that doesn't cost an insane amount of $ & doesn't compromise on quality...LOOK NO FURTHER because you won't be disappointed with ANY Zinus frame (bought 2 myself)

This bedframe is really good quality. After 5 years and still sturdy and comfortable. I ordered the US king size which fits perfectly with my Zinus US king size mattress. I highly recommend..

I love this bed frame. I bought a zinus mattress to go with it and it’s fantastic. All the parts are packed in the back of the headboard; I suggest you take them all out before you move it anywhere. Some of the cross supports were packed inside the wood slats (moment of panic when I couldn’t find them). Materials are sturdy and fit together nicely. Lining up the headboard legs and screws was tricky; I did it with a buddy and a headlamp to see the screw holes (the screws have to get through the upholstery before you line them up with the holes) this was the most frustrating part. But after that, assembly was easy. There is a QR code for an assembly video and a great ratcheting Allen tool. We sat on the wooden slats to pop them in perfectly! Sturdy, classy, and great quality.

J'ai acheté ce lit en me disant à cause de certaines évaluations qu'au pire je pourrais le retourner... et bien j'ai été plus qu'agréablement surpris. La première surprise vient de l'emballage particulièrement intelligent (tout est emballé dans la tête de lit). Ensuite, vient l'assemblage et sérieusement, c'est juste magique: 10 morceaux, quelques vis, des outils fournis (clé -classique- mais aussi un ratchet -wow !!!); ça se fait seul, facilement. Les morceaux sont articulés, on les déplie, on met une vis pour les bloquer en place et c'est réglé. J'étais habitué à Ikea -pas très compliqué à monter, on s'entend- mais là c'est encore plus simple, 0 niaisage, 0 cassage de tête, puis ça va vite en ta' lol. Enfin, monté c'est super beau, grand et confo. Nb sur certaines photos du produit, il semble y avoir un motif dans le tissu (rendus 3D ?), en vrai ce n'est pas le cas le textile est super beau. Par rapport aux photos, je trouve aussi qu'il y a un tout petit peu de vert dans la couleur bleue (c'est pas bleu canard/teal mais il y a une petite touche subtile) c'est très beau.

Update: After owning this product for some time now, there is a little squeaking coming from the metal framework. It doesn't bother us though. We ordered the platform bed a few weeks ago and received it by Purolator a day earlier than the expected delivery date. I was anxious as I've read horrible reviews about this company. But the route driver here found another driver to help lift the package as it was nearly 100 lbs. Had the box sitting in our bedroom for awhile until we got around to unpacking it. Pristine packaging, organized, took about an hour to assemble with very clear step by step instructions. The product is beautiful! I personally love the headboard, the denim blue color, the supportive wooden slats and metal framing, I love it all! We placed our 10 inch high queen mattress on top, sat and laid on it. No squeaks or sounds whatsoever. It's extremely sturdy! It is stated that the platform bed can hold the weight capacity of 700 lbs and that's excluding the mattress. My husband and I are 390 lbs collectively and it holds our weight nicely. We initially ordered this product online for it's highly rated reviews and for its said "sturdiness". It was what we were looking for. The biggest and most satisfying upgrade from our 10+ year old, collapsed metal bed frame! I strongly recommend this bed to everyone!
