Convenient, Versatile & Affordable
Took a chance buying these, but they're wonderful. Easy to use and works with no effort. They are reasonable, so I got one for 3 locations in our house so we don't have to run and go look for one whenever it's needed. It's good to be able to test batteries when I remove them to see if they really are no longer charging. They are versatile and you can test so many battery sizes with one simple tool. Terrific!

Lightweight and does the job
Feels a bit cheap, but I can’t complain since it works great! We’ve had it for a while now and have used it quite a bit to check battery juice. Nice and compact, too.

Works but feels cheap
It works, but overall it feels a bit janky. Pros: • It does work • Easy to understand and use • Decent size for handheld use Cons: • Feels like cheap plastic • You have to place the battery very precisely or it won’t give a reading, and the plastic doesn’t hold it in place well so it slides around • I haven’t figured out how to use it with batteries other than AAA or AA. This could be user error, so I’m not factoring it heavily into my overall rating Overall: It works and is easy to use, but feels cheap and can be tricky to get accurate readings.

Finally, a Tester That Actually Tells You the Truth!
As someone who has lived in constant confusion about whether to keep or toss old batteries, this little gadget has been a game changer. The Battery Tester is small, simple, and precise, making battery testing as easy as flipping a switch—except there’s no switch, just a "health meter" that gives you a clear readout in seconds. Green means good, yellow means "meh," and red... well, red means it’s time to send that battery off to the great landfill in the sky. It’s lightweight, portable, and can handle all your household battery needs—AAA, AA, 9V, you name it. While the build quality isn't exactly “luxury,” it's solid enough to do the job. Sure, it might not survive a drop from the roof, but I’m pretty sure your batteries won’t either if they’re tossed from that high. I now know with certainty whether I should spend 15 minutes digging through that drawer of half-dead batteries or just toss them all and save myself the trouble. TIP: Treat this tester gently—it’s no heavy-duty tool, but it gets the job done. If you're a "battery hoarder," you'll want to use this every few months to save yourself from an endless search for that one good AA.

Cheap and sort of works
If I seriously wanted to know what was going on with a battery this is not a very adequate item. It comes with no directions, and is hard to use with old arthritic hands. It was adequate for sorting out a bag of batteries that contained both good and exhausted batteries.

Wondering whether a battery is dead or still usable? Wonder no more.
I bought one of these years ago but failed to put it in a place I remember, so I bought another one (cheap enough to be better to have a spare than to wonder whether something isn't working because the batteries are dead), and though now careful to keep it with all my spare batteries, am glad to have such an inexpensive and easy-to-use tester for practically every kind of battery on the market.
