Dansko Women's Lulu Mary Jane Flat

The Lulus have become my favorite Danskos. I added a bit more arch support and can comfortably wear them all day in clinic or around the hospital. The foot bed is like walking on clouds--cushy and bouncy! My normal size 39 also fit perfectly, although the nubuck styles seemed to have slightly more wiggle room for my toes than the nappa ones, allowing me to even wear dress socks with that style. I normally wear a women's 8.5 in all other shoes and my feet tend to run a tad on the wide side. This style look great with skirts/dresses, trousers, or slim pants and is stylish enough for young <30yo women like myself to happily wear around the office or out in the evening.I own purple nubuck and black nappa and plan to buy black nappa and any other fun colors they come out with. I am also considering buying the Lucille and Larkin, both of which have the same foot bed as the Lulu. I tried the Lois (black nubuck and wine nubuck with the studs and buckles in my photos), but sadly the buckle on that hit at the wrong spot on my ankle and rubbed. Otherwise, I have been super happy with this line and really can't say enough wonderful things about it!

Dear Dansko: Please never stop making these shoes. EVER.I am convinced they are made of unicorn horns and fairy glitter, because they are actually p.e.r.f.e.c.t.. They fit. They stay on my feet. They have a strap that doesn't look like a grandma shoe, a toddler shoe, or a dance shoe. They have a wonderfully cushy insole. The toe-box is roomy and doesn't press down anywhere on my size 11's (I ordered the 42, fwiw - you may want to order up). They are a (chunky) ballerina flat for people who actually - gasp! - need to walk and/or who have feet which don't do flats. This year's studded and buckled Lois is cute and seems to be built on the same footbed/last, but I prefer the velcro wrap strap and no back zipper of the Lulu. More colours, and please make this wonder-shoe forever!

I decided to return these because they turned out to fee more frumpy to me the more I wore them. When I first put them on they didn't bother me at all but then after a few minutes of looking at them on my feet I felt that they looked like frumpy orthopedic old lady shoes. I agree with many other reviewers that I don't love the velcro on the ankle strap. It somehow makes it feel more frumpy to me. I normally wear a size 9 to 9.5 so I had a hard time deciding which size to order. I picked the 39 and it was very small. I order another pair of Dansko shoes to try in the same package and they were the same size, but not as tight. So I'm no expert in Dansko shoes but I felt that these ran a little smaller than expected.

These shoes are fantastic. I don't have an occasion to wear dress shoes very often, but when I do, I need to be comfortable and not worry about pumps that are going to dump me to the floor because I could a heel on the thresh hold. I have several pairs of Sanitas and Dansko's, after having a troubled nerve removed - Morton's neuroma. It was the best thing to have it removed. Now the hard part was some great shoes. Some Dansko's and Sanitas and I'm back in business. Yeah!I bought these at a great price and am waiting for a great price on a black pair to come up on Amazon.As with most Dansko's , these are not about squeezing my feet into a pointed shoe, so these are wider then that, but they are appropriately sized with a little larger toe box. Excellent!

This is my second pair of this shoe, because I have been so satisfied with the first pair. It has become my favorite shoe. It's so nice to have an attractive shoe that fits comfortably. I need a wide toe box and good arch support. With a pair of Sole inserts, I can wear this shoe all day and all evening. It looks nice with pants, dresses, or skirts. I take it on trips and wear it on cobblestones and other irregular surfaces, and it does fine. Thank you, Dansko, for a shoe that feels good and looks good.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the MOST comfortable shoes for women!!!I was getting groceries and admired a woman's shoes. She said she was a hair dresser and is on her feet all day long. She said the shoes were the most comfortable, cute and long lasting shoes she has ever had. I got home and ordered a pair for my Mom and myself. My mom needed a size bigger so I returned the first pair for her. Voila!!!!! She said she can't believe how comfortable this pair of shoes is for her. I can't agree more! I bought a pair of purple and black. My Mom has a pair of the khaki color. What a great find!!! Dansko you've done it again! Great job!

I work in a bank and am on my feet for long periods at a time. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had for standing in. I broke my lower back and had surgery on it, I have osteoarthritis in my knees, I've recently recovered from a broken foot, and I'm in my mid 50s--with all of these conditions these shoes allow me to stand at work for a good portion of an eight hour shift without any pain in the lower back, knees, or foot. These shoes are amazing! It's a real challenge for me to find shoes that that provide comfort and support for long periods of standing, these shoes more than pass the test. This is my first pair of Dansko shoes, now that I have discovered them I won't buy any other brands.. I think they are very stylish also. I'm going to buy several more pairs in different colors.

They fit well in terms of size and they are comfortable. I did rub a blister on my left foot where the shoe cuts across the base of my big toe. I had bunion surgery several years ago, and the top of the shoe runs across where the skin was cut for the surgery. It caused some swelling and some pain in addition to the small blister. I'm hoping that it will stretch out some. If not, I will not be able to wear them if I am going to do a lot of walking. I hate that, because I really love them. Pretty much any shoe that is low cut on the top runs the risk of causing disturbance to anyone who has had bunion surgery.

These are the second pair of Lulus I've purchased. They are the most comfortable, non-running shoes I have ever worn. They have great arch support, which I have never found in another similar shoe. I find they run small, but I know others have said the opposite. I wear a size 8 in dress shoes, size 8 1/2 in running or hiking shoes. The size 38 Lulus are supposed to fit size 7.5 - 8, but I find that it would probably fit someone who wore 7 1/2 better. I find the 39 (size 8.5/9) in these works better for me (but I have bunions, and a narrow heel, so I need a little more room in the front of the shoe.

Very feminine, very comfortable. Received lots of compliments from co-workers. I work on my feet all day and I love the comfort.
