Ranger Handbook: TC 3-21.76, April 2017 Edition

Not much to say, it has everything you need for combat and weapons tactics as well as opords, great to have on hand.

My boyfriend was in RIP 25 years ago - for his 49th birthday he wanted to reread the Ranger Handbook. He said it is almost exactly the same as the edition issued by the Army, just larger than the pocket size they gave him for the field. He loved the trip down memory lane, sharing some of the helpful information with the kids, and retelling old stories from his youth.

It’s a lot more readable than the compact versions. Keep it on your study desk but also don’t let the size dissuade you from sticking this in your ruck sack. Only cons is that it doesn’t seem to have all the material from the smaller compact ranger handbooks, but I still need to go through it some more. Other con is that it might not fit in a typical ziplock bag of you’re going to be in the rain. Just get this and a smaller version honestly. Still 5/5 and would recommend to anybody who is in the ARMY or ROTC.

I don't know how much has changed since this version was published - but there is a newer version. We got the new version also. Besides that, the book is bound well and is a nice book - just wish I would have known about the updated version. **Also important to note, when I requested a return, my purchase price was refunded almost immediately. Seller is top notch.

Fantastic it’s the size of a school textbook. Words are bigger not so tiring to read definitely easier to study

first off this book is to used as a reference to help through different scenario s that you may come across. now with that being said the book lays out to preform different task in military's way. it is a good book for those who might think that they may need an edge if the USA goes down a bad path . so yes if want a good reference in book collection then yes i would highly recommend this book. thank you for having this in stock

Great info to review. I only wish it was more of a "pocket book". This book is full size. Maybe the format has been changed since my time in the Army. I don't recall the book being this big. Outstanding otherwise.

Good reference for emergencies

It’s pretty good with ranger tactics and information but why the size? Most of the information like with mountaineering is pretty vague and any knots show aren’t detailed enough to learn.

I love the easy read and large diagrams of this oversized version. Makes studying the material much easier than from a pocket sized book.
