This would be good for Chickens. However not so good for Quail. The crush size is too large for Quail. I have tried to reduce the crush size by blender, which did not work, and then bagging it and whacking it with a hammer MANY times, which also did not work. Holy cow, oyster shell is strong!

Last a good amount of time. Perfect size to fill my gravity feeder ( cat food dispenser) . No smell, no sharp edges that i can see. My girls like it and seems to work well.

Same price as in the store but saved me from having to go get some. Chickens love it and great source of calcium for the birds
