Watch your favorite dancer glide effortlessly across the dance floor in Hanami. This slip-on ballet shoe is made of high quality canvas material that stretches as if you're wearing nothing at all. The split-sole design allows the flattest platform to pivot on and eliminates bulk in the arch. What sets the Hanami apart from other ballet shoes is the patented technology that creates a seamless diamond gusset in the arch of the shoe. This means there is no harshly stitched line down the center that will interfere with how your young dancer points and flexes. No drawstrings erase any worry of the ballet slipper coming undone during back-to-back classes. Capezio's Juliet ballet shoe is top notch when it comes to fit, since it feels more like a second skin. The soft leather ballet slipper includes unattached elastic straps that you can customize yourself, a split-suede sole suede sole that glides delicately, a moisture-absorbent lining, and a sculpted, seamless arch that molds to the perfect fit. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide. Review: Skip the Dance Store! These Fit Perfectly! - Perfect Fit Once You Understand Capezio Sizing Capezio sizing can definitely be a little confusing, but once you know how they run, these shoes are a fantastic choice! My daughter normally wears a womenโs size 8 in everyday shoes, so I ordered a womenโs size 10 in Capezio, and the fit was absolutely perfect. In our experience, Capezio consistently runs about two sizes smaller than regular shoe sizing, which matches what her dance studio has always recommended. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. They are well constructed, comfortable, and look exactly like the pictures. The materials feel durable, and they provide the support and fit needed for dance. Because the sizing was so accurate, we were able to order confidently without needing an additional professional fitting this year. If youโre familiar with Capezio sizing and know to size up accordingly, these are an excellent value. We will definitely be purchasing more in the future! Review: Got lucky with the fit - I found their sizing instructions to be true, so I went up a half size up from my shoes, and they fit well. I wear 8.5 in pumps, sneakers and boots, and a smaller size in sandals. I bought this slipper in 9M and it works. My feet are between a narrow and medium so I went with the medium width, a touch gappy on a โAโ width, but still good. I think itโs a โBโ medium, so I can see a wider foot having trouble with this brand unless the wide width works. They are nice looking, but unsure of the quality until I use them. The main difference I see between these and my old slippers is the lining is a manmade fabric now. So how can they mold? Our old slippers were all leather and the straps were not pre-sewn. I think these also are thinner leather but itโs a nice slipper and the split sole makes it easy to point toes. I havenโt taken ballet in decades!

Got lucky with the fit

The Original "Barefoot" Shoe!
I bought these wanting a "studio shoe" for zumba and something to wear around the house to keep my feet clean (I tend to always go barefoot, can't stand stuff on my feet). I remembered wearing these as a little girl, and like the way they looked, plus they are way cheaper than the trendy barefoot shoes on the market. I've been wearing them maybe a month now and they are absolutely perfect. I kind of botched sewing the straps on - either that or they stretched, I don't know, but it really doesn't matter as the shoe fits like a glove without them needing to secure anything. The tie is basically a drawstring, so that sort of customizes the fit. They are very attractive on the foot, following the arch like a second skin. They are perfect for zumba, I don't get hung up on my sneaker soles anymore. They keep my feet warm and comfy, and clean! at home. I've worn them every day since I got them and they are holding up great. The biggest issue I have is that they sent me PINK even though I ordered BLACK. The box said black, so I guess they need to take a peak inside more often. As it turned out, they were so comfortable I couldn't bring myself to send them back so pink it is. It's fine, they look pretty with jeans, and I will probably want another pair anyway, so hopefully my next try at black will work out better. I normally wear size 11, and after reading the reviews decided to go up half a size - this worked out great for me, they were perhaps the tiniest bit tight at first, but as the leather gives a bit they feel like a custom fit now. Highly recommend these ballet slippers!

Fit is off...
The size is way off, im a 8.5 regular and the first pair were extremely narrow and short. So I got the 8.5 wide thinking they would be longer in the toes ,but perfect width only still crushed my toes...they are great quality there sizing is just way off.. Finally getting the 9 wide.pray they fit!! Highly recommend whole size up. They are so soft .

Something's off about them, but they're nice
Nice ballet shoe, but leather gets torn up easily on the floor. Little tight fitting at first, but they stretch a little the more you use them. For me, it was harder to turn in these shoes than my canvas ones. Sometimes they catch on the floor and throw me out of my turn, which I have never experienced with any other type of ballet shoe.

Ballet slippers in place of backless backless slippers
I normally wear a 7 1/2 and I got Cappioโs, which are leather so they donโt stretch. I would order an 8 next time. I am a senior I saw my mom twist and slipped in her slippers with no back. She fell in the kitchen floor and she broke every bone in her hand. These ballet slippers they have a back youโll never step ballet slippers go wherever you go. I love them.

Soft
Nice quality leather and soft on the inside. Fits like a glove. The pic is the size 9.5 ballet slipper on a street size 8.5 shoe foot. As you can see the fit is slightly snug in the toe area. We are going to keep them as people say the leather stretches a bit to form to the foot. If it were canvas I would order a larger size. Comfy and well made slipper. Order 1 to 1.5 size larger depending on the type of fit you prefer.

Perfect
Iโm size 8 and I went half size up, they are perfect. one size up might be loose when pointing my toes, and the leather will stretch after few wear too. The sole is very comfortable, and the color is beautiful. Love them!

So Comfortable!
These slippers are so soft and cozy on my toes and nice and snug. I love the soft leather and comfort of them. I wear a size 8 and ordered a 9.5 as the reviews recommended going up in size. They are perfect! I wear them as I would any other pair of slippers. I love the look and the comfort of them. The colour is a nice light pink and the leather is really soft. I love them!

Slightly small fit
I like these ballet shoes. I ordered size 8 as I am size 8 or 7 1/2, depending on brand. I am 7-7/12 in some European brands. Anyway, these seem to fit, still a little small, and I fear my toe will pierce the skin soon. Maybe the shoes will break in after wearing them. Other than that they are comfortable. they come with 2 crossed elastics that are already stitched. I intend to use them for some ballet classes. I like the them as I can easily do pirouettes even on carpet, which were impossible with bare feet or with socks.

Surprisingly good!
Amazing! First I thought it was fake ones, and they look soooooo small! However, after wear this on I feel they fit my feet excellent! It is too soft though, I wonโt wear this pair to dance, but I will keep this as my daily slippers at home! I love them!

False advertising
Very disappointed. Got these today and they are NOT leather, as advertised. Very overpriced for canvas ballet slippers. They will be returned.
