Looks like these are for instruments. Has anyone had good experience using them for vocals? What is your opinion on using these for singing? Thanks.

I wouldn't used these for live vocal performances but for home recording these are pretty good. With the right amount of compression I was getting some impressive results. Then again i'm into rock music.

How well would these microphones work for recording ambient nature sounds - like birds chirping all around me?

A pair of them should work well, especially with the omni cartridge installed. The response curve on these isn't completely flat, but with a little post-production EQ, you could get some decent results out of them. You will need a recorder or mixer with phantom power, though.

How well do these perform for voice recording? I need something to be used in a very noisy environment of people talking, can they block it out?

In my tests (my computer speakers on my desk playing a YouTube video while I was talking 12" away from the mic), the microphones still very clearly picked up the YouTube video, even when the speakers were in the microphone's null zone. So for noisy environments, look for a dynamic vocal mic, something like the SM58 or Sennheiser e835, which seems to do a better job of suppressing sounds that are not right in front of the microphone.

Would these mics work good for overhead on drums?

I got them for this exact purpose and have been so impressed by how they're delivering. Granted, I'm not an audio engineer and i can only compare this to what i was getting out of a handful of cheap dynamic mics before this, but for my purposes they seem to pick up everything so cleanly, with the cymbals sounding sparkly and real, but the toms and snare still having plenty of presence too. pairing them with a bass mic is crucial, though. I'll post a review with a little more detail but bottom line is I'm pleased as punch.
