I should have started buying this big bag long ago since I buy so much buckwheat on a constant basis. It is life essential. I wish they made 5lbs bags from this brand. It’s the best quality buckwheat out there!

Am amazed how many citizens in our great USA have never ever had the pleasure of eating this healthy, low calorie, nutritious, delicious, GLUTEN FREE, grain !!! I Love it hot, with or without butter and/or gravy, on its own, as a side..or cold alone, or with olive oil vinaigrette, in a salad... This is heart healthy and nutty, filling and nutritious ! What are you waiting for ? It's easy to make. In twenty minutes your meal is ready with a perfect texture and a wonderful color. Two parts water to one part grain...simmer covered for 20 minutes.

packaging seems to be a problem with this seller
The product arrived with damaged packaging; both the original bag and the protective cover were busted, causing the buckwheat to spill inside the Amazon envelope. Since returns aren't allowed for food items and I hate tossing food, I had to make do by thoroughly washing and soaking the buckwheat. Unfortunately, besides the packaging error, I found that the product contained a lot of husk and other bits, which required extra effort to clean.While this is a cheaper option compared to other brands on Amazon, the combination of damaged delivery, the time I spent cleaning, and the fact that it's not organic makes it less appealing. The only positive was that the darker kernels had a slightly richer flavor compared to lighter ones. Overall, I'd rather pay a bit more for a higher-quality product.

Good value but with a brown husk that separates
These seem to be a different variety from the usual ones I get, which are BOB,s organic. They have a brown hull that separates from each kernel and a pronounced flavor. The others are mainly just beige, no hull. When cooked these resemble rice, an elongated shape. I’m more used to the others that sort have a congealed almost gelatinous style and a mild flavor. I primarily eat them as a porridge for breakfast with berries. I think this type would be a good grain for a dinner but not so much for breakfast. Also, they seem to be from Russia.

Calidad no es nada de buena.
Ojo. Calidad es mala. Aun después de varias lavadas y cocción de 20 minutos este trigo saraceno tiene sabor a moho, probable es viejo o mal resguardado. A parte los granos tienen mucha basura lo que parece ser semillas de girasol mezclados con grano de trigo saraceno.
