Fantastic, essential add-on to a Glock 26.
First Impression: Well, they came about as packaged as an item like this should be. Just plastic cover with a cardboard back. It did come with instructions. But hey, for its purpose, how fancy do you need to get with packaging? Installation: This part is ROUGH (installed on a Glock 26) the first time you do it. Getting original piece to slide off took 3 grown men, a C-Clamp and some blood/sweat/tears to get off. The good news is, once you actually figure out the technique, you'll laugh at how much effort you (or, if you learn from reading/watching - me) put in. I found the best tool was an appropriately sized Allen-wrench, the biggest size that will still fit. The trick is not to push the "lock-pin" (no idea what the proper term is) too far in. You only need to get it JUST out of the socket. Pushing the old baseplate off once you have the lock-pin down is more about technique and leverage than power. Be patient with it, and when you finally get it to budge, don't let the mag spring pop in your eye. Putting it all back with the new grip is pretty straightforward, though if you worry about it, during the removal of the original plate, just do it very slowly, and if you can get it removed in a controlled manner, look at how the original was setup. The extension goes on the same way. Note that I did not reduce the product review to 4 stars, as this is more of a Glock design issue than the extension's fault. I helped a friend install this on a Glock19 (large hands) and it was a BREEZE. Usage: I was hardly able to believe how much of a difference this actually made. I can't provide scientific numbers as to how my accuracy was affected, but my groupings felt improved. The biggest thing is the feel. The amount of control that I felt increased substantially. The gun now actually felt full in my hand as compared to before, a sentiment shared by most Glock26 owners. I have incredibly small hands with long, skinny fingers, and this addition STILL made shooting the gun much more enjoyable. The overall profile of the gun was not affected, as my day to day concealed carry noticed no change in comfort or ease of concealment. The material feels well matched for the Glock's grip (Generation 3), and is actually textured for a bit of friction, which feels good. Overall: I was apprehensive of paying around $15 (they were around $8 a piece on Amazon at time of purchase) for 2 pieces of plastic for my magazines. Now I can't imagine if I had skipped out on this simple, but wonderful add-on.

Easy all around and work great
So let me start with I read the reviews and looked at the product in a local gun shop. There are a lot of reviews saying it was tough to get the stock base plate off and replace it with the Pearce product. This could not be farther from the truth, simple simple simple!!!!!! It took me all of 5 min from the point where it was delivered to my door until it was installed on my Glock 26 magazines. The only thing you need to realize it that it does take some force to remove and install. All it takes is a tool of any kind small enough to press the small round peg on the base plate into the magazine I used a small screwdriver. You press the peg into the magazine and with the spring compressed lay the magazine onto a flat surface and press down it will pop past the small plastic keepers on the side of the magazine and then remove the screwdriver and slide the stock piece off. To install the Pearce product simply use your thumb to compress the magazine spring and make sure the plate with the peg is facing the correct direction. Slide the new base plate over and press on it until it seats past the keepers and bam its done. If your not sure there are tons of videos on how to do this on YouTube. You don't have to squeeze the magazine or clamp it or break it just use some smarts and its simple. As far as pinching or anything similar to that I guess I have the magic size of hand because I made no modifications and no changes and it works flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with this product, if it pinches you just use some fine grit sand paper round the sharp edges and your in business again SIMPLE !!!!!!

Works great, can give you pinky pinch if not holding gun correctly and placement of fingers
It's a nice extension, yes. It is needed for a guy like me, and it works to do the job. Does not affect round count nor does it claim to. So no worries about it affecting mag operation. The only thing with these kinds of things, you must hold your gun properly or risk pinky pinch. I know, yes, it's happened to me enough times to learn to change my grip. You must be aware of finger placement and not put any meat between this and the bottom of the grip. A few pinches will train you on how to hold your gun to prevent that.

Great addition for my G26!
I read mixed reviews on this and decided to pull the trigger and buy one. I didn't have any problems removing the stock mag plate or installing this one. I have a Glock tool and I push it in the mag plate hole all the way and the base plate comes right off. The inner plate may flip inside the mag, but it is easily retrieved and replaced. Then sliding the extension on is no problem. At first I was only going to buy one and leave one stock for better concealment, but I liked it so much after I shot it that I bought a second one. I haven't had any issues with pinching or malfunctions, but everyone is different. I'm finding that guns are like shoes. You have to get one that fits your hand. Glocks fit my long, slender hands well, but people with small hands or sausage fingers don't seem to like them. The pearce grips look good, feel good, and work well. I would recommend trying one out.

A Perfect Match
I love this extension. It makes the Glock 26 a perfect fit for my hand and is a must have. The material and pattern is a perfect match too.

Perfect fit for my sausage hands
I have fatter hands and needed pinky support on my G26. The Pearce Grips PG-26XL has the same feel as the Gen3 grips and has matching stippling on the front of the extension. I can finally get a good grip on my compact. This does not extend your mag capacity so you can stay Cal compliant. I have bought PG-26XL's for all my magazines at this point. Highly recommended.
