What type of a cord and plug do you need for this is it a usb port on the back does it come with anything.

my clock came with a long functional cord. they do not furnish the plug. The plug I used is an old phone charger 5v .5amp. when you find a charger read on it, it should say 5v .5A or 5v 1A. my charger is the kind that already had a cord plugged into it. I unplugged that cord and plugged in the long clock cord. The receptacle for the cord on my charger is called a type A usb receptacle.

Maybe trying opening the back and just cut the wire to the speaker with a cutter, not a blade to avoid other damage and just tape it so it doest short circuit. I'm thinking about doing that but on a different clock.
