I absolutely love this little photo printer! One of the first things I noticed is how cute and modern it looks. It’s compact, simple, and doesn’t take up much space, which makes it perfect to keep at home or move around easily. ✨ It’s also very portable and practical, and the photo quality honestly surprised me in the best way. The pictures come out looking very vibrant, colorful, and almost professional. The colors are vivid and the prints have a really nice finish that makes memories feel extra special. Another thing I liked is that it’s very easy to use and set up. Printing photos from the phone feels quick and convenient, so it makes the whole experience fun and simple. Something I also appreciated is that the printer includes a small starter pack with the first purchase, which is really helpful to begin using it right away. Mine came with around 15–17 photo sheets and one ink cartridge. After that, you do need to purchase the larger replacement packs separately, which include additional photo paper and ink cartridges. I’m also leaving a picture of the refill box for reference because that part is purchased separately. One thing to know is that it does need to stay connected to a power outlet while using it, so it’s not completely wireless in that sense. But honestly, that hasn’t been a problem for me because it’s still very compact and easy to place anywhere. Overall, this is such a useful and enjoyable little printer to have at home. It’s practical, aesthetic, easy to use, and perfect for printing personal memories in a beautiful way. Definitely one of my favorite small tech purchases! 📸✨

It's incredibly easy to set up and use, especially with the phone app connecting over WiFi. I can go from taking a picture to holding a high-quality, dry-to-the-touch print in my hand in just a minute. Its compact size is another great feature, making it easy to bring along. I've used it for both events and family gatherings The print quality is impressive, the colors are vibrant and the details are sharp, easily on par with what you'd get from a professional service. The all-in-one ink and paper cartridges are also a brilliant design, making refills clean and simple. A crucial detail to be aware of is that this is a dye-sublimation printer, which means you must use Canon's combined ink and paper packages, standard supplies will not work. This technology creates the photo in multiple passes, laying down each color individually. This is the same process used for professional photo printing and is the secret to its "lab-quality" results, which is why the ink and paper are always sold together as a matched set. To get a perfect print, you have to bring up (brighten) the shadows in your photo editing app before sending it to the printer. It’s a quick adjustment that makes a world of difference. Also, because the paper moves in and out during the printing process, it's best to use it in a clean, dust-free area to avoid any specks on your final print. The cost per print is very reasonable, especially with the bulk paper/ink packs, making it an excellent value. I will admit that I am an amateur photographer. I ended up at a point however where all I did was post a small amount of my photos from my Panasonic LUMIX G9 edited in Lightroom and the rest were lost in a hard drive purgatory. This printer however is a game changer. It gave second life to the photos that were lost in the hard drive and gave me a reason to comb through my photos for ones that I felt were worth printing. It also gave a new perspective when I took photos of how I wanted to frame them for small printing. This also was perfect for printing family photos. Now the justifications of the printer are out of the way on to the actual review of the printer. The printer is compact. I don’t have the battery pack. I use it at my desk. I would agree that it is compact and not portable. It’s small and you could bring it with you places, but the cord and the actual setup is a tad bulky and cumbersome. As far as the print results- they are great. For comparison, I have and instax mini printer. While that printer did produce cute photos I that I would give away, it was something that didn’t produce accurate colors and there was a lot of loss of detail. This printer has none of those issues. The colors seem quite accurate and it prints are of good quality.Every thing comes out clear. The app is quick and responsive on my iPhone 16. The print quality to price ratio seem just right. I love the convenience of being able to print out single photos without having to commit to sending in a bunch of photos from a site or store. This is worth purchase. Don’t hesitate on buying.

We got this for an upcoming road trip so we can fill a mini scrapbook in the fifth wheel as we go. Long ago we used to do a written one with stubs and postcards and snipped pics from free brochures. Now we can add US to the memories! I have not installed the "real" cartridges yet... meaning you'll need to buy a set that has both a 108-pic paper cartridge and ink cartridges. The printer itself comes with what I'd call a starter kit of ink and 5 pieces of pic paper. Test it shortly after it arrives to stay within the return window... Oh, it may be too loud next to a sleeping baby, but my cats (in the next room) barely perked up their ears when it first printed then returned to their naps seemingly deaf to the following print jobs. My husband and I were both standing by it and could talk just fine over the noise... which is often a feat for our ears at this age. That being said, we are VERY impressed with the quality of the pics. 2 singles (postcard sized), 2 with two pics, 1 with four. Super easy to send right from my phone to the printer using the app. They are all wonderful... people, architecture, and landscapes. If you're like me & use my phone as my only camera (and yet-to-be-printed picture albums... better for the environment anyway, but we realized we have no recent pics of ourselves, together, enjoying life)... oh, squirrel! If you're digital like me, but not a professional, these look great. Already have 2 of the pics stuck to my mirror frame and 2 awaiting my retrieval of an old, cute frame. It's here somewhere. Will try out the new paper & ink cartridges before we hit the road, just to be sure... nope I'll do it before the return window. In all the confusion of my review, I am a very happy customer

Horrible experience with this Selphy CP1500 model. I have the Selphy printers model CP900, CP1200, and two CP1300 in the past and they were wonderful! No complains. I had printed thousands of photos over the years with those good old printers, Now with the latest CP1500 model, I can't connect it to my PC or Mac and print out photos from my laptops. The new CP1500 DOES NOT HAVE a dedicated Windows driver nor an app or any software that can help you connect the Selphy CP1500 printer to your laptop (PC or MAC). It takes several tries to connect the CP1500 via WIFi or USB C cable to the laptop. And even when it gets connected, the printer setup window does not give you the option to choose the correct photo paper size 4' x 6" (The printer comes with that paper size inside the box but It does not exist in the menu settings!) and for some reason the photos are printed in grayscale instead of color. Canon support page does not help at all and the customer service confirms that Canon does not have a driver for Windows and they just say that we need to use the useless "Selphy Photo Layout" app from a smartphone. Terrible. Printing photos from my smartphone means, i have to first transfer the photos from my computer to the phone or to a SD card in order to use the printer. Why? BTW, they recommend upgrading the printer firmware but it does not solve the problem. If you are planning to buy one of this CP1500, as of May 2026, and planning to connect it to your computer, don't waste your time or money or sanity. Check the discussion forums online to see that this is a real problem for lots of people ever since the CP1500 came out around 2024 and it doesn't look like Canon have any intention to remedy this issue. Very disappointed with Canon after so many years of being a loyal customer of their cameras and photo printers.

Printer packaged with charger cable, printer tray, and sampler sheet and cartridge. The size of the printer is very portable, even with the tray attached, the footprint size is small. The build quality is good, feels sturdy, and not flimsy at all. The printer has multiple ways of access: PC, mobile app, SD card, and through wifi. The LCD display on the printer is bright and legible. The direction pads and buttons are easy enough to use, and all the functions are straightforward to use. I tested the PC connection and mobile app, and there were easy to use without any difficulties. Printing was quick, taking about a minute per print, and the noise level was not overly loud or distracting. Print quality is pretty good! I tested both dark and light pictures, the dark picture does come out a bit darker than the reference, but all details were there and can be detected. Light pictures turn out good and fine. The printer paper and cartridge come in a set, the cartridge is proprietary, which can be concerning if this ever goes out of stock or discontinued. The advantage of this style is you take out the guesswork of how many prints you can do, the cartridge has enough to print on the available photo paper. I would have love to have the portable battery included, but this was easy to find and purchase separately. Overall, this is a great portable photo printer that prints great photo lab quality prints.

Really love this little printer. I've used it a few times before I'd purchased for myself. I'm trying to print more pictures instead of storing everything on my phone and this works well. I don't think there is any cost savings over getting Shutterfly to print, but to be able to print instantaneously is very useful in and of itself. It's come in handy already for the kids school projects too, when they need a printed photo for school quickly. The starter pack that comes with the printer only printed 3 photos for me before the ink needed to be replaced, which was fine since I purchased a larger refill at the same time so that I would have it ready to go. I connect to it using it's WiFi connection to my phone very easily and find that it prints easily with the right settings. It will say "postcard" size instead of another paper size - i'm not sure if this is a preprogrammed setting in the iPhone but it prints properly so I haven't bothered to change anything. I did have trouble printing from my computer the first time I connected, because I couldn't get the "postcard" setting to settle, so after a few wasted prints, I got it working. I will be more aware of the settings before I press print next time so I don't waste ink/paper. Picture quality is pretty good. I wouldn't expect professional print quality anyway. The colors are a slightly muted compared to what you see on your phone but it does the job fine. If you are familiar wite dye sublimation, you'll know there is a bit of an odor and this is no exception, but it dissipates quickly. Otherwise, very pleased with this little photo printer!

I love taking photos as a hobby and while traveling and I missed not being able to get prints locally. This printer is great! I love that you can print a regular size photo or a sheet with several photos. It's great to add to a scrapbook or journal or photo album. The quality is nice, comparable to a drug store print. It's nice that the print cartridge is the exact amount to the photo paper also. Compact size and portable. Great buy!

I've recently purchased the Canon SELPHY CP-1500 and the print quality is amazing! One of the best printers works great and fast to print! I love having it to make scrapbooks.

I love this printer. The photos come out crisp and clear, the colors feel true, and the app integration is fantastic and easy to use. Overall I think it's a great printer especially for the price point. However, it is important to use Canon brand ink and photo paper. I was using a third party product and getting a vertical white line down every print. Canon customer service confirmed it is not a problem with the printer itself but a result of using third party products. I replaced with Canon paper and ink and the problem disappeared. I will also say Canon's customer service was quick and efficient to deal with.
