Does it sync automatically to any app like Evernote etc

There is a kickstarter by boogie board and it does have an app that syncs what you write to your phone. It involves a smart stylus and a sheet that sits behind the board that helps the pen capture your strokes. It has a save button that sends what you wrote or drew to an app. The entire set with everything is about $100, but if you already have a board you can buy just the pen/backer board to make it work.

Can you rest your wrist on the board while writing?

Only if there is nothing hard on your wrist. Watches, buttons, cuff links will all "write" to the board.

Can I upload images from this to the computer?

The only way to save the images is to take a photo of it with a camera/smart phone.
