RAZER MAMBA TOURNAMENT EDITION: 16,000 Adjustable DPI - Ergonomic Form Factor - Chroma Enabled - Esports Gaming Mouse

This is my first dedicated gaming mouse. There are others that are more expensive and have an immense list of extras, however Razer have a reputable gaming name and this one didn't appear to be too far out.I'm using it with a top spec Alienware 17 and a Razer Goliathus gaming mouse mat.Connection via USB is simple and the cable has a top quality feel and look, it is also longer than any human will have problems with.To appreciate all it can do you need to register it and use the Razer Synapse software, here you can tweek away to your hearts content and set up specific gaming profiles and choose from what they call 5 basic lighting effects. Basically these open into a multitude of further choices and effects, which can seem a bit daunting but given a bit of time you can achieve some great results.I will be honest in that if you put all the magic aside this is the most comfortable mouse i have ever used. Everything you can possibly want is where you want it, there are no awkward finger stretching moves to perform and it is not littered with a mass of buttons and switches. And the 'geek' factor is that this little mouse has a 16000 DPI 5G laser sensor. Being mortal I'll just say it is unbelievable fast and with the mat i'm using it is slick and responsive, i've never had better.Okay it has a wonderful light show, but if you do focus on that your gaming will be over pretty quick. But the lighting is not the only thing this little mouse is about. It's about quality, ease of use, very quick response and no finger strain whatsoever.In a nutshell:PROS: CONS:Outstanding quality. Haven't found one yet.Unbeatable specs.Built for comfort and ease of use.Beautiful design.Dazzling lighting effects.Awesome software.Additional Razer benefits, too many to list.This does more than what I expected and is without doubt the best gaming asset you can buy.

Bought this along with a Deathstalker keyboard (both Chroma edition) to replace a similar Dell Alienware setup.The Mamba is a very light mouse, easy to move with your fingertips, as is the scroll wheel. Great smooth, precise movement and sensitivity - though this can be adjusted to suit individual tastes, using the Razer Synapse software (this doesn't come included - you need to visit the Razer website to download it). Sits very comfortably in the hand - though I generally just grip the sides and top with my fingers.I find the 3-way scroll wheel and 4 buttons are quite adequate for my needs. Those who play more complex games may want to go for the ones with the 6-12 buttons on the side.Works an absolute dream on the Sphex gaming "surface" I bought with it (it really is more of a surface than a mat). The Synapse software allows you to calibrate the mouse movement, depending on the type of mat you have and it also allows you to configure the buttons and lighting effects. So far working fantastically well - no problems whatsoever.Not cheap but also not the most expensive you can buy. I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first gaming mouse and I decided to go with this model in particular because I thought the LED strips would go really well with my Corsair K70 RGB keyboard. As far as being a wireless mouse I cannot fault the product. It is extremely comfortable to use and the side buttons have already boosted my productivity when web browsing. The sensor is very precise and can be turned up to ridiculous levels that only 4K+ displays could justify - a good indication that this mouse will be able to last well into the future. With this said however, I was a little dissapointed with the LED strips down the sides of the mouse. As there are only 7 LEDs in each strip, the light is not of constant brightness all along the strip (unlike with the Razer Firefly for example), and there are darker areas between the LEDs. This may be the case to reduce the power consumption of the mouse while designing the wireless version of the Mamba, however I think Razer could have done a better job considering that power consumption is not an issue on this product. The LED strips can also not be individually bound in the 'reactive' effects mode (e.g. left click will illuminate both strips rather than just the left strip). Finally, having only 7 LEDs in the strips means that any animated effect appears quite jerky rather than smooth colour changes. Another problem I encountered with this mouse was that it would erratically lose connection and freeze up. This is a fairly well documented issue though and UPDATING THE DRIVERS through the provided software fixes this issue (something that surprisingly isn't automatic when you first plug the mouse in!).In conclusion:+ Excellent mouse+ Comfortable+ Productivity boost from side buttons- Only 7 LEDs in strips causing underwhelming lighting effects- Erratic loss of connection with outdated drivers

Absolutely worth it.I have recently moved from a Razer Naga 2012 after I had it since its initial release and decided it was time for a change.Straight away I noticed a huge difference with my aim, granted it took time to get used to as my previous mouse of nearly 4 years had 12 Macro buttons on the left hand side where my thumb rested but after using it for a week now i am totally satisfied with this product. Its great for FPS games such as CSGO and battlefield etc. My brother has the Deathadder and it is a great mouse aswell but i feel that this one has a much better feel to it, especially on the sides with the rubber strips but i guess it down to preference. The lights are extremely bright aswell, much brighter than my 2013 Blackwidow ultimate! Synapse Software also runs well with plenty of customization choices available.10/10 from me.

In order to configure and use this mouse you have to use Razer's Synapse software, which I found buggy and annoying. If the software worked as expected, it would be pretty good.First issue - not a deal breaker as such - you have to have an account with Razer to use Synapse, so you have to go through the hassle of creating an account and password during setup.Next problem, and this is the dealbreaker - once you've gone through and configured your mouse, set up all the buttons as you want them, if you happen to reopen the software it simply "forgets" all your settings and puts everything back to defaults. Gah!! It also does this every. Single. Time. You. Reboot. Or. Log. Off. Double gah!I had to continuously set this mouse up until I figured out I could export the settings to file and now I'm forced to import this file each and every time I inadvertently open the Synapse software, or if it decides to reset itself, which happens occasionally, or I reboot, or unplug the mouse. This is terrible.Razer support suggested I reinstall / reboot. Didn't work, alas. After reporting this back to Razer Support, they suggested I open a bug report. Not great, this is an expensive mouse, and the software just does not work.It's a shame, because the Mamba is a great mouse. Synapse is truly broken. Don't just take my word for it, check out other reviews and Twitter.

The mouse is decent enough for general use, but from the moment you take it out of it's box and feel it - it's clear that the mouse is made with very cheap and lightweight plastic. I have owned two - since this mouse is a deathadder with more colours, you can save yourself half the price by just getting one of those instead.As with all Razer products, it will be be decent enough for about 1.5-2yrs at which point it will develop a fault and start double clicking or sensor skipping.

I decided I wanted a new mouse recently and went with this one, I used the Razer deathadder black edition for the previous 3 years and it has served me very well and I never had an issue, it still works flawlessly and this is a testament to Razer mice and I firmly believe the best gaming mice are made by Razer. I loved the look of the full RGB customisation on the Mamba, it feels exactly the same as the deathadder so it has been an easy transition for me, I spent a bit of time looking at LED styles and configurations. I downloaded a few that people had made and tweaked them to suit my current green colour scheme, I now have a green LED effect with a white ripple running all around the mouse. It looks great! The build quality feels a bit more premium than the deathadder too, it has an extra two buttons that can be applied for use in games so you get a 7 button use from the mouse when gaming, particularly handy for FPS games. The grip is really good, I have small hands and use the claw like grip and this is comfortable with my style of grip. Razer never fails to disappoint. I am using this alongside my black widow chroma and it its a perfect addition to your setup.The mouse has a braided cable which is very strong and the lights on the mouse are vibrant and smooth. The lights are also very easily customisable using razer synapse which is very easy to use and you can also sync the lights to other chroma devices so that the light patterns match. The mouse fits very nicely in my hand and there are also various buttons on the mouse which are programmable so you can appoint the buttons to do anything. The sensor on the mouse is very accurate and responsive and is great for competitive gaming.I recommend also getting a firefly mouse mat and blackwidow chroma by razer to go with this device and it makes a beautiful setup.

Ich suchte für meine MX518 einen adäquaten Ersatz, da diese nach vielen vielen Jahren langsam anfing, Aussetzer zu kriegen. Die suche führte mich über diverse Mause von Roccat, Lioncast, Logitech und auch Razer und schließlich landete ich bei der Razer Mamba TE.Vier Sachen sind mir dabei sehr wichtig: Form, Oberfläche, Tastenqualität (Erreichbarkeit, Druckpunkt, Anzahl) und Design. Vor allem der letzte Punkt machte die Suche etwas schwierig... die meisten Mäuse sind einfach potthässlich.- Die Razer Mamba TE ist von der Form her für meine Hände nahezu ideal: eine Mischung aus Palm- und Clawgrip und mittelgroße Hände.- Die Oberfläche ist leicht rau und dabei griffig, so dass ich die Maus sehr bequem umsetzen kann. Das Material fühlt sich wärmer an als bei meiner MX518, aber ich glaube nicht dass es zum Schwitzen anregt- Die Daumentasten sind für meinen Daumen perfekt angeordnet und haben einen guten mittelfesten Druckpunkt; die linke & rechte Maustaste ebenso. Das Mausrad scrollt leise und mit angenehmen Rastpunkten, die Riffel sind auch angenehm; ganz toll: die Kippfunktion des Mausrads, denn aufgrund des etwas festeren Druckpunktes löst man den Kippschalter nicht aus Versehen aus- Das Design ist in erster Linie minimalistisch/zurückhaltend und wirkt edel. Wenn man die LED Beleuchtung nutzt, zeigt sie sich etwas offensiver und farbenfroher... da kann man quasi alles einstellen, vom Jahrmarktfeeling bis zum dezenten Nachglimmen. Ich mag es sehr. Die Farbvielfalt ist dabei sehr groß. Es gab nur eine Maus, die einen noch geileren Leuchteffekt hatte: die Razer Diamondback. Die LEDs sind bei der DB etwas dichter angeordnet und leuchten dabei minimal gleichmäßiger.- Der Treiber ist halt typisch Razer: Registrieren ist Pflicht. Wer Probleme damit hat, Finger weg, ansonsten bietet er viele Einstellungen- Der Lasersensor ist ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Er ist sehr empfindlich im Vergleich zu gewöhnlichen optischen Sensoren und kann (!) etwas zicken z.B. beim Umsetzen der Maus. Aber mit ein wenig Spielereien im Treiber (Mauspadkalibrierung, Lift-Off-Distanz etc) kriegt man das Vieh gut gebändigt. Es mag aber sein, dass die Mamba nichts für Hardcore-Profi-Gamer ist.Von meiner Seite eine Empfehlung (mit Einschränkungen)

Muy alta precisión, sobre todo en el recorrido de todos los botones, cosa que he podido contrastar utilizando ratones de otros jugadores. Absolutamente todo es configurable, lo que ha resultado útil (como la posibilidad de una sensibilidad en X y otra distinta en Y) y divertido (alto grado de configuración en las luces).Detalles curiosos, como que el color se sincroniza con ciertos elementos de los juegos (como el personaje de Overwatch) y la perfecta jugabilidad que he tenido con este ratón me hacen recomendarlo, ha pesar de un alto precio.
