Very good product which makes such a difference to my coarse, curly hair. Always arrives promptly. Maybe a bit pricey hence 4 stars but it is an excellent product.

I didnt get the results i wanted...i already have something similar which i bought at less then half price of this at a drug store. I wanted to invest on something better not worst.

I have baby-fine hair, but it is of average density/amount. The length of it is a little past my shoulders. It is blonde and naturally wavy, but not curly, and it will not hardly hold a curl no matter what I do. So when styling, I prefer to straighten it. I have been using this straightening balm for about a decade now. My hairdresser introduced it to me when it was still called "Strait Line", and it came in a gold-colored bottle. That was before L'anza was taken over by another company. Regardless, I find this to be the exact same, if not an even better product. There is NOTHING LIKE IT for thermal protection, and the results of using it when straightening my hair is smooth as silk, slick as satin. It never weighs my hair down or makes it the least bit oily, sticky or "dirty" looking, either. The secret is to use only as much as needed, and only use it when you are straightening your hair. I do believe it will negate any attempt to curl or wave your hair. I actually apply it to my DRY hair a section at a time as I straighten it: I rub a "BB" size amount between my fingertips and massage that down the hair shaft. . .concentrating on the ends. I never put it very close to the roots except maybe a faint stroke in areas where flyaways happen the worst (around the face or at the parting in the front). The actual product instructions only ever mention applying it to WET hair; however, I use a couple other products every time after I wash my hair, the combination of which works perfectly for me. Those products are Sebastian Potion 9 (applied similarly) and CHI Silk Infusion (applied only on the ends). Again, the secret is to use only as much as needed of any of these products. In all, I would say I use about a typical blueberry size amount of each. I live in southeast Georgia, where it is ridiculously humid from spring through fall and then damp in winter. Without this product. . .or actually the combination of these products as well as my favorite Rx-7 Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner (I only wash my hair a couple times per week). . .flyaways will drive me completely crazy given my natural hair texture. And now that I am getting older, my hair is also taking on the tendency to frizz a bit in the worst of this climate. But this product is the be-all, end-all answer to those issues. And yes, I color my hair, too. About once every 5 weeks, I use Naturtint, which is about as natural as any permanent hair dye gets, IMHO. I feel like my hair is in quite good shape, and this product really helps keep it at its best when I straighten it.

I love how this makes my hair feel after I have blow dried and straightened. It's smooth and soft instead of frizzy and strawlike. I've used other products that have worked but made my hair feel like straw and this works great. It also has a nice smell to it as well. I would recommend to anyone else who is looking for something to help make their hair smooth and soft after using heating tools.
