I had been looking to add some indoor security cameras to my set of outdoor Wi-Fi cameras, mostly to monitor the growth of my hydroponic vegetables while away from home for extended periods, but also for general use. I saw these MUBVIEW security cameras were very inexpensive - I paid about $20 (maybe it was on sale) - and I didn't really want to spend a lot for this purpose, so I bought one to check out. The camera comes in a box sealed in plastic, which I like. In the carton were the camera, which has a non-removable usb cable, a small USB power supply, a mount and hardware to attach the camera to something, and the manual and contact card. I used the camera first with the MUBVIEW app, which I already had installed from another camera, but then added it to the more universal Cloud Edge app, which I'm migrating my various devices to. Installing the camera into both apps was quick and painless. The picture quality is excellent, especially using the QHD mode, in both the color and night B&W modes when there is no ambient light. The camera pans and tilts very quickly and is pretty quiet when doing so, and with tracking mode enabled, follows moving people surprisingly well and fast. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and will probably pick up one or two more for my house. Definitely two thumbs up.

Set up was so easy once you have the app installed on your phone. We use it for checking on our 8 month old pup while we’re at work. Love that you can move it with the app a whole 360* and track down your pet. We’ve discovered a couple of things that could possibly be a hazard because we’re able to monitor her movements and was able to get rid of that danger. Just because they’re not messing with something while you’re home doesn’t mean they’re not curious when they’re bored. There’s an intercom so you can interact with your pet, kids or an intruder. You can set up motion alerts so it would be great for knowing if there’s an intruder in your house as well. We only need one to watch our puppy but you can hook up multiple cameras and switch between them within the app. I honestly can’t believe how inexpensive these pretty good quality cameras are. Keep in mind that you’re not paying a fortune for this camera so don’t expect high end pictures. The video is crisp and clean with adequate lighting. I’m including a pic of our pup (chewing on a coat hanger which we’d forgotten to put away.) so you can see the clarity of the picture. Give it a shot. You’ll be impressed too.

I LOVE Mubview! I purchased my first camera from them in 2022 (4 years ago) and it still works like new. I have 3 cameras for my house, 3 cameras for my shop, and 1 for a rental property. The cameras are fantastic, but the app interface is SUPREME to other cameras I have and have used in the past. These have helped me TREMENDOUSLY with three separate legal issues that I would have lost the case had it not been for them recording 24/7. Amazing clarity, unlimited location capabilities, and love the ability to pan while following a subject and fine tuning.

This is a good camera system for the price and ease of use. I have two of them set up to observe my pets while we are away on vacations or long outings, and they work just fine. Even at night, the picture is still clear enough to see what's going on. This camera does have a motion detection feature, but be aware that it is not a continuous video once motion is detected, but instead a screenshot and a message notifying the user that there has been movement. The picture quality is not like an HDTV, nor would you expect that from a camera system so moderately priced, but the overall quality is still more than good enough to observe what is going on in the area where you have set it up. The speaker system works well, as you can both speak and be heard through it. Once again, it should be noted that this is not an expensive home security system and therefore expectations should not be unreasonable. For the moderate price, you get a good and reliable camera system, and if your needs are simple this will work just fine for you. I am happy with the system and plan to add one more camera. Connectivity to the app, as well as the usability of the overall system, is fairly easy.

I just bought this and didn't realize it doesnt interconnect with any smart home set ups Alexa or Google Home nor Apple, which really is a draw back for me. Honestly having to download Another App for just one single device, is sort of ridiculous when it could should just be controlled by one app. I suppose if your whole home security system was all Mubview cameras and products, if they sold everything needed for a smart home set up, it'd not be so bad. #2 Issue I have now with this model camera is that after plugging in and downloading the app and setting up my account with them...It states in the set up instructions to press the reset button and wait to see the blue light flashing, but my camera doesn't ever flash blue. It flashes red, sometimes slow sometimes fast and once it flashed green, but never blue. It won't connect or even come up when I'm scanning for the device on the app. I've been troubleshooting this issue for the last hour since i first opened the box, and nothing has worked. Problem #3: Then on top of the issue with just finding the device on the set Mubview App, the customer service with Mubview is basically nonexistent. Yes it has areas on its app for "support:" but it's only a form you fill out and then send and then wait to see if anyone replys via email. There isn't an actual live representative, like majority of todays security camera products support who can immediately help you step by step troubleshoot or even just let you know if the issue your having is something common that they encounter w other customers and have fixed this many other times or if it's totally odd and could be a product defect malfunction and then helped getting a replacement or refund. #4 Problem: Upon opening the box you find a users set up pamphlet and on the first page opening it shows a QR code to scan for an extended 3 year warranty, cool right, nope...You scan that little code then it does take you a totally different web page where you fill out some personal basic info as in the order number for your purchase of the device, name and email address,( Also mind you that at this point it's still not even opened an account for you) this was just for the extended 3 yr warranty. Get that all filled out then Once you click on submit at bottom of page, it takes you Again, to a totally different web link thats they're Amazon products page. Like sending you to buy more instead of showing you any info validating your extended 3 yr warranty. There isn't anything to verify your extended 3yr warranty after you click submit and there's nothing for you to even go back to and refer to when asking a support representative if they did even have such offer available. So how would one who just provided all these details about they're product, purchase, name & contact info to even verify this 3 yr extended warranty that required providing my order number? Just felt suspicious and made me feel like ide just given my info to some sort of scam, idk. Just didn't seem right. But it was indeed the QR code provided inside the sealed product box, so its legit right..idk. I'm also wondering if this camera perhaps may have been used and just repackage and sold as new and is why I can't get it to show the in set up mode flashing blue light and isn't visible on my Bluetooth scan. I'm probably sending this camera back because we'll first off I can't even find the device to begin setup, and it can't connect with any smart home hubs and Mubview has no live customer support and only has a page to submit feedback and there isnt even a FAQ page that shows any of the issues I'm encountering upon opening the box. There are FAQ that adress issues that are common sense like why can't it connect to wifi..it only uses 2.4...why can't I have 2 phones connected to the app, why won't it download videos...your SD card isn't formatted correctly, or cus you haven't bought the cloud subscription needed for recording video footage. This camera might be only 16$ w black Friday deal on Amazon right now but from what I'm experiencing right now, it's not even worth that when it can't even be detected to begin a set up. So we'll see if someone from Mubview support contacts me and helps fix these issues and I'll leave an acual review of how it works once I get it to work.

Cameras work great for what they are. Clear images, day and night. I bought cards to insert for extra storage space. I don't use the cloud or pay for anything extra. I regularly review alerts at the end of the day and just delete certain videos that I don't care to keep. I like randomly checking just live feed when I have a moment too. They have a number of functions to use in the App. like Calendar to check different days and times, Lens on or off, etc. I had one issue with them a couple of weeks ago where they were malfunctioning and then got booted from the network. It happened after an unexplainable recording. I just used the pamphlet and got them set up back online again, easy enough to follow. I am not a techie and I was able to do it. I do wish they had a longer range so I could have them near a window for outside but my windows have too much bright light as well and I don't think that would be good for the cameras. I also find that they will pick up a sound and video starts recording. That happened to me and it was a weird whistle tune that I never heard before and there's nobody in this house but me and I was not home when it happened so that kind of weirded me out I've also picked up recordings of stuff at night, mainly one room, and I've kept those. Just be warned if these are on continually, especially at night, they will go off and pick up weird things and it might creep you out but for the most part I find it to be harmless. And good to know you're not nuts because now you have proof. I have not had any issues but it's just nice to know that they can detect things that you just weren't expecting them to detect. So far I'm happy with them and if they do make some that have a much longer range ( like 50 feet) I'll probably get a few of those and use them for pointing outside the windows.

I purchased two of the 2.4/5 G cameras and they are great quality. What REALLY stands out though is the customer service. I have had them for two years and have messaged them with updating and speed issues and they are sooo responsive. They will email you back and call you back EVERY time. They have always been able to fix my issues and are very polite.I got email updates/responses and phone calls daily checking on reception and speed until the issues were fixed. This company could absolutely give lessons in great customer service on a great product. Kaia and Micah were awesome. I would DEFINITELY purchase from them again!
