Chainsaw Safety Helmet

This is a very good safety helmet indeed, particularly at the price. Wow! For an amateur gardener, tree feller and bramble slayer like me this is all I could ever need. The helmet is great quality. It's made from what are clearly quality materials and the overall construction and design are excellent. It's light and comfortable to wear for hours at a time. I also notice that my head doesn't sweat of feel as hot as I thought it might, the ventilation seems to be right on mark. The size is perfect and there's a lot of adjustment in the quick to use mechanism on the back of the strap. Some reviews concerned me, mentioning how fiddly is was to put together. Honestly, it took me less than 2 minutes after a very quick look at the product images and one of the videos on the product page. It all clicked together easily and it's very simple to do. We moved from a house in town to a largeish 'doer uppper' in a very rural area and I've now got a huge garden to clear of brambles and overgrowth and then to keep on top of. I did have a different mesh mask from Amazon that had no top covering, just a facial piece. It's OK but when the sun is beating down I was feeling like I was getting sun stroke and due to the design I couldn't wear a baseball cap. This solves that issue for me instantly and is a great relief. I've also got 3 or 4 moderate sized trees to fell and I didn't fancy it without the full protective gear. I'm clumsy at the best of times, last thing I need is a branch on the head when I'm chainsawing! Great piece of gear I'll be using constantly. Well done Oregon, recommended.

Of the dozens even hundreds of items I have bought off Amazon over the years this is by the far most remarkable I wish there were more than 5 stars. How is this safety helmet made at this price ???. Simple to put together, a little extra pressure need for the clips, but no instructions required, just a little common sense. My hat size is 7 7/8 inch, yes I'm a big chap and was reluctant to buy as I thought it would be too small. Without any adjustment fitted me perfectly out of the box and comfortably, with the interior bands covered in 'cloth'. It is very well made, and is held in place on the head by the pressure of the ear defenders that work wonderfully and far superior to the little yellow ear plugs I normally use. Time will tell if it us durable but experience to date suggests it will last for some time. I bought a new chain saw recently and considered ditching the safety goggles and ear plugs (I'm a domestic user with wood burner). Wished I bought one of these years ago, I cannot recommend this product enough, well done Oregon.

As some have pointed out , it is a bit of a fiddle putting the helmet together, however, you will manage it. It is an absolutely marvellous piece of kit and worth every penny of the twenty five quid.

It could do with better instructions to help you attach the parts correctly, but I managed to solve the puzzle and get it all together. The ear protectors are comfortable and clearly reduce the volume a fair bit, while they can be rotated up out of the way when not sawing. The attachment mechanism for fitting the helmet firmly on your head is clever - you can put it on loose, then twist the control to get the tightness you want, then untwist when you want to take it off, and it's also comfortable. The face visor isn't terribly strong, but even if flying debris (e.g. broken saw blade parts) pushes it back against your face it should be sufficient to prevent cutting. Very good value.

Assemblage très simple et rapide pour un casque de bonne qualité. Je ne suis pas un pro, je ne l'utilise donc pas de manière intensive, mais pour des séances ponctuelles de tronçonneuse ou débroussailleur, il est vraiment parfait. La réduction du bruit est au top et le casque tient vraiment bien en place quand on travaille. Il est réglable et conviendra à toutes les têtes. Un outil indispensable à la sécurité. Le crâne, les oreilles et le visage sont très bien sécurisés. Pour le prix, il vaut vraiment le coup. Aucun regret quant à cet achat, c'est un très bon casque. Bonne marque, Je recommande!
