Does the motion activated light work in bright light? Or does it have to be dark for the motion activated light to come on?

The light comes on in the dark. Be aware that it is really NOT good for stairs in evening or a cloudy day, because the light is warm - not bright.

Is it dual voltage? I want to use it in 220v.

Has anyone used this in the toilet room (no electrical out let to plus in a night light) for an elderly man to prevent having accidents on the floor?
