Hozelock 2-in-1 Compact Enclosed Hose Reel with 25 m Hose and Connectors

I bought the Hozelock 2-in-1 Compact Enclosed Hose Reel with 25 m Hose and Connectors for my son, and he is very pleased with it. The hose reel is compact, neat, and keeps the garden tidy with the hose enclosed when not in use. It feels sturdy and good quality, and the 25 m hose is a great length for reaching around the garden. The included connectors made it quick and easy to set up. It’s simple to wind back in and much better than having a hose lying around getting tangled. A very practical and useful gift that I’d happily recommend.

It seems a good hose but arrived shortly before a hosepipe ban so not used much. To note the description says it is assembled and ready to use... It is not! However I found assembly quick and straightforward, taking approximately 10 minutes and another 10 to attach to the wall.

I had an old Hozelock wall mounted hose for 7+ years, but over time the plastic had become faded and brittle and it was leaking water badly - trying to open up the brittle case it cracked, so I had to purchase a new one. The other reviews were unclear whether this was assembled or not, in a nut shell you need to: take cardboard insert out, remove all the extra attachments from inside, measure up screws for wall mounting, unwind the full hose, fix the wall mounting, run water from the hose that is fully unwound, and then wind the hose back in. I didn't want to spend £90 again, so I got this cheaper version: Pros: - Easy to install IF YOU WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO FIRST - Relatively compact - Easy to wind in and out (much easier than my older version as the hose is lighter/cheaper quality - It doesn't have an auto-rewind mechanism, but the manual slider works really well - Comes with all the wall mounting fixtures needed, and this works well. - It will be easy to unclip this from the wall and put in the shed over the winter months. Cons: - the paper instructions are not great, and it would be easy to mess up the assembly if you didn't watch the Youtube video - comes with a cheap nozzle (if you're replacing an existing hose then you're likely to have a better nozzle anyway, but if not you will need to buy one) I thought the packaging was strange as it had no delivery box from Amazon, it was just in bubble-wrap, but this protected it, and there was no damage.

After having lived with the less expensive expandable hoses for many years, when my last one broke I decided to spend the extra money and buy the 2-in-1 compact hose reel. What I already know is that this hose reel is going to last for many years, probably longer than me! It comes with the standard nozzle which will give you a good variety of different sprays. It reels in after use very well, although you do have to use the little device at the front to make sure it doesn’t get tangled on the drum which has happened a couple of times. I haven’t bothered with the wall-mounting bracket. Too much faff. And it works very well just sitting on the ground. As long as the hose isn’t tangled in the drum it will pay out smoothly for all 25 meters of hose. (NB: the included instructions are awful. I found a very useful video on YouTube which took me carefully through the process)

Well made, easy to assemble and attach to the side of my house. Long hose and have had zero concerns since installing it. I would recommend this over cheaper imitations as I have in the learned from past purchases!

Excellent product. Just what i needed. I had a hozelock stretchy pipe before which was fine as a beginner to gardening. However now that my trees and shrubs have gotten older watering them deep during dry spells has become essential. That unfortunately is not possible with the stretchy pipes. Also as i connect it to the tap in my kitchen sink the strwtchy pipe put a lot of stress on the tap. Got this 25m pipe as a replacement. Assembling it was a bit fiddly the instruction leaflet made things clear and step hy step. Everything works as explained and now i can water my plants without having to stand next to them all the time. The pipe itself is of good quality and doesn't easily kink but it canif bent too much. Also this was cheaper than at the garden centre.

Went for this version as my autoreel had broken. I wish I had bought the autoreel again! This model needs some configuration putting it together and despite a few attempts dismantling and reassembling, still leaks. The handle is easy to turn but the design poor and the self feeding mechanism to keep the hosepipe in place whilst winding it in doesn’t work properly. On the plus side, easy to fix once wall and does the job but not the best design from Hozelock.

Great quality, too many parts to assemble though. Takes a bit of time but when you put it together it’s good. Wish it had a retractable hose instead of manually winding it

Conforme à la description. Il faut être délicat pour le ré-enroulage et guider le tuyau. Tous les connecteurs sont bien étanches. Je trouve intéressant le produit 2 en 1 (on peut utiliser l'enrouleur ailleurs en cas de besoin ou le rentrer pour l'hiver).

Good system, however we have and still have a previous model where the hose return automatically guides the hose back and forth across the reel to ensure the hose does not bunch up on one side of the reel. On this model you need to move the guide with one hand whilst you are winding the hose up with your second hand and with your third hand, ensure the hose does not kink or twist as it enters the reel. Hopefully it will prove to be a durable system like its predecessor.

Das Teil ist sehr robust und leicht zu handhaben. Falls man noch einen alten Wasserschlauch hat oder einen brauchbaren Rest davon, sollte man den für die Verbindung zwischen Wasserhahn und Schlauch-Box nutzen; so bleibt einem die gesamte Länge von 25 Meter Schlauch zum Sprengen. Zwar ist der mitgelieferte, aufgerollte Schlauch nicht besonders hochwertig, jedoch sorgt die Box für Schonung. Ein knick-sicherer Schlauch allein kostet bei der Länge ab 70 Euro. So ein Teil braucht dann auch keine Box zum Aufrollen (was wohl auch erheblich anstrengend wär; muss jedoch mühsam zusammengelegt und schwer geschleppt werden. Auch als transportable Box sehr praktisch. Keine Sorge, das geringe Gewicht wird durch die Wasserfüllung im angeschlossenen Schlauch ausreichend gesteigert, die Box ist also standfest. Nach dem Aufrollen des Schlauchs wird die Box wieder tragbar leicht, das Wasser kann sowohl über die offene Spritzdüse als auch über den abgezogenen Anschlussschlauch vom Wasserhahn ablaufen. Ich bin froh, jetzt keinen noch so mühevoll zusammengelegten Schlauch mehr umständlich entwirren zu müssen, abgesehen von der nässenden Schlepperei ... Hätte mir das Teil längst holen sollen, ehe der alte Schlauch undicht wurde *.* Ein paar hilfreiche Montagehinweise hatte ich mir schon erhofft. Wem es genau so geht: das exakte Studium der Bilder klärt bei etwas Geduld alles auf. Auch als technische NULL habe ich es schließlich geschafft. *~*
