Five Little Ducks (Classic Books with Holes Mini-Library Editions with CD)

I bought this book because I remember learning the song when I myself was in preschool and wanted to share it with my 15 month old (though I have a terrible singing voice... Shhhh! She doesn't know that yet!). It's only awkward when she wants me to read it when we have company over. If you don't know the song, look it up on YouTube. It is there with many slightly different versions. The book is beautifully drawn and the cutouts are very creatively placed! Love the book!

This cute board book story has lots to look at on each page besides counting the ducks. There are cutouts showing other activity, like fish swimming in the pond below the ducks. The illustrations are bright and colorful, with nice detail. I always spend time pointing out all the other things on the page (if the toddler isn't too anxious to turn the page!) I think this will be a must purchase for gifts and future grandchildren.

Ive worked in preschool for over 10 years and this book has always been a class favorite and my toddler son also loves it. The art is fun and the kids love talking about the other animals we can spot.

Love singing this book to my little students. Adorable. I've always loved the song Hush Little Baby- The Mockingbird Song, and this book you can sing to that tune. There's something so cuddly about this tune and the theme of a mama duck and her little ducklings. The illustrations are also very sweet. All animals the ducks come across are smiling, even the fox. Very cute indeed.

Our one year old loves ducks. For some reason seeing a picture of a duck or a duck toy just makes his little face light up. He loves this book. It's very bright and cute! It has textures on it (the "holes") and he likes running his finger across and feeling it. I also feel like it's educational as it's showing him numbers. Good book for a little book lover like I have!

Cute book, purchased for someone having their 5th baby. I ordered used like new and it was more used than like new. No biggy, just had a different expectation.

Such a great book, so big and the cut outs are amazing. My kids in clinic love it so much for story time, I bought one for home.

The art work in this little book was excellent and the story had enough suspense that it allowed for entertaining reading with a happy surprise at the end. I am a fan of buying books for baby showers to encourage reading and engagement at a young age. I will buy this book again.

A mia figlia è piaciuto molto!

Awesome story and great illustrations!

There are lots of book versions of this story book / rhyme / song, and this is a particularly charming one. The illustrations are bold, colourful and interesting with lots of extra details such as insects, frogs, and the hungry looking fish in the water and the fox watching the little ducks swimming by, all things that add to the mystery of the story. The wording of the rhyme/song is very slightly different from what I learned as a child, but it doesn't alter the story line. A delightful quality book that is just the right size for a child's hands or book shelf.
