PME Paste Food Colour - Set of 8 (200g)

I originally bought these for baking with my kids as they love making colourful bakes. We’d previously tried making some ‘Earth’ biscuits using a different type of food colouring and once they were baked, the colours looked awful. I asked around for recommendations and was told to try paste colours, so after doing some research I chose this PME set. Honestly, they’ve been amazing. We’ve now used every colour in the set and they’re all really bright and vibrant. You only need a tiny amount to make a noticeable difference, so the little pots last much longer than you might expect. Most importantly, the colours actually stay vibrant after baking. What goes into the oven comes out looking how you’d hoped rather than the colours becoming dull or disappearing. The paste is really easy to mix into cake and biscuit mixtures and I’ve had no problems with streaks or patchy colour. It also doesn’t seem to change the texture or taste of what we’re baking. The pots close securely and I don’t find them particularly messy to use. We’ve had this set for nearly a year and despite baking regularly and also making the kids birthday cakes ourselves, they’re still going. I’m genuinely really pleased with these. They’re worth every penny in my opinion and I would definitely buy them again.

Bought these to make up my own colour fondant as I needed so many different colours for little bits and and didn't want to buy the icing in packs as I would have needed two different colour ranges and would waste half of them (I don't make many cakes often). These were perfect, just what I needed. They do exactly as they say. Colours are as vibrant as you like or as pale as you like. It was a bit difficult judging how much I needed as I hadn't coloured my own icing before, so it was trial and error, but they were super easy to use and blended into the icing really well. You can mix the colours within the icing to get other colours, again super easy. I would recommend using disposable gloves to blend, much cleaner and less sticky when handling the icing. In terms of taste, I don't think there was any. Icing generally is super sweet, and this was super sweet when eaten.... I made a Hey Duggee cake for my Nephew (I am not a professional as you will see from the picture, just a DIYer who thinks she can). All the colours on the top are made from this box of paste, the background fondant that covered the whole cake was bought already coloured green as I didn't know how far the colours would go, but I needn't have worried as there was plenty of paste in each pot to mix into an extra large block of icing. I just need a few more cake to decorate to use up the rest of the paste. These will last me years.

Colours are vibrant and it didn’t take too much to produce coloured layers on my sponge and then colour to my buttercream and fondant. Would definitely recommend and would happily buy again.

I usually buy a different brand, but decided to try these as they were on offer. There is a great range of colours. They are the paste style meaning you only need to use a small amount. Each bottle is a good size and will last a long time. The colours work well for buttercream.

Great selection of colours, and only need a tiny bit for very vibrant icing! Doesn’t water the icing down, and will last for ages!

Très bon lot de colorants alimentaires en gel. Ils sont faciles à utiliser, les couleurs sont bien intenses et se mélangent parfaitement aux préparations. Ils colorent efficacement sans modifier le goût des aliments, ce qui est un vrai plus. Je suis très satisfait de cet achat.

Producto de calidad,con poca cantidad cambias el color del pastel y no deja sabores. Aunque el rojo no es rojo como tal, sino un tono más intenso entre salmón y rosa,no llega a ser rojo,el resto sí sin intensos.

Ich habe diese Farben für meine Osterkekse gekauft. Es sind zwar keine Naturfarben, aber ab und zu finde ich es ok. Die Farben lassen sich sehr gut verarbeiten. Man benötigt nur minimal Farbe. Ich bin nur mit einem Zahnstocher in den Topf gegangen und habe etwas Farbe aufgenommen. Das reichte auch schon. Die Farben selbst finde ich auch sehr schön.

Habe die Pasten ausprobiert, lassen sich gut verarbeiten und ergeben eine super Farbe. Der Kuchen schmeckt wie immer ist nur eine Augenweide, dank der schönen intensiven Farben. Nur beim Verarbeiten Handschuhe tragen, färbt die Hande lässt sich aber wieder gut abwaschen.
