Does anyone know what is the maximum weight of an outboard motor the Excursion 5 can take?

It is designed to take the Intex trolling motor (item number 68631). The maximum recommended weight of a motor is 8.2kgs (18lbs).

Can anyone recommend a fair priced motor they have purchased?

Have tried petrol motors with this boat and even 2.5hp was a little heavy, I think the electric motor that is often advertised with these looks like the best bet, it's just deciding where to store the battery on board.

Could this boat cop black berries stings? I have quite a lot where I take the boat down to the river and it'll definitely gonna encounter loads ofthem

It’s a pretty thick skinned boat, I’ve run into a number of brambles and never had an issue.

Hi can you use this boat on seaside also does it have a carry handle

This boat is great for near to the beach. I’ve been out about a mile on it on a calm day with one adult and 2 teenage children in it. There’s no proper handle as such but there are various places to grip it from.
