Exactly what it does. Cleans tip of your soldering iron. Very efficient at doing its job. Excellent product.

For the price I paid i could not go wrong. I was using a old sponge and so when i saw this as an add-on item, I though why not try it. After using a few times, I am glad i got it. It cleans the tips nicely and I use it to scrub the tip clean when there are clumps left on them. The base has tiny foam feet that help it sit and roughly stay in place, although it is really light. decent product for the price you pay. I would say that if you haven't tried one before, try it.

Lightweight and non-intrusive on the workbench. I know lots of people have these and they are convenient, but I'm not so sure that they are more efficient than a damp cloth to wipe away solder. It does get rid of the waste on the tip of the soldering iron, but not as cleanly. So it is going to depend on preference really. I am happy to keep the one purchased, and in that sense it is good value for money, espeically if you consider no postage costs as well. But I am not so sure that in the future I would buy another to replace it.

This brass tip cleaner works really well to keep your soldering iron tips clean. It's affordable and doesn't damage your tips when cleaning.

Wow, this is soooooo much better than faffing with a damp sponge to try and keep your soldering iron tips clean. Just brushing the tip through the cleaning scourer thing really works, just be careful of tiny stray blobs of solder flying off when you do! The tips of my soldering iron can now be kept spotless and will save a load of money and effort in the long run, great product! :-)

Really small, doesn't stay put when stuck to the table, and takes a fair bit of effort to clean a tip. Only good for removing excess

It does a good job. I didn't have high hopes, a lot of Silverline is cheap and nasty, but was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure there are better products out there, but at this price and for my relatively limited usage it works a treat.

Works really well - much better than a sponge. Cleans solder from the tip and also lightly scrubs away oxidisation.

Funciona de maravilla. Nada que ver con las esponjas húmedas, con este limpiador se elimina el estaño por completo y la punta queda limpia y brillante como el primer día. Lo único que hay que cuidar es de no tener algo delicado frente al limpiador, por si salta alguna gota de estaño al limpiar y quema algo.

Tolles Produkt! Macht die Lötspitzen schön sauber und das ist so einfach. Ich habe meine Lötspitzen regelrecht missbraucht und dementsprechend sahen sie aus. Eine Reinigung ist nur zu empfehlen damit man wieder ordentlich arbeiten kann. Wenn ich das früher gewusst hätte, hätte ich den Schwamm weggelassen und gleich das gekauft.

Bon produit. Ergonomie un peu moins pratique qu'une ouverture inclinée à 45° pour enfoncer une panne droite de fer à souder. Inutile de nettoyer la panne du fer sur toutes ses faces. On la plonge dans la boule pour la retirer immédiatement et elle est décapée immédiatement. Les résidus du décapant sont éliminés instantanément, la panne ne fume même pas. Nettement plus efficace et rapide que l'éponge mouillée. Surtout si vous devez faire plus d'une centaine de soudures consécutives.
