What if right now, reading these words, you suddenly realized that you were actually dreaming--and that in this domain you could do anything imaginable? That is what it's like to dream lucidly, teaches Stephen LaBerge. With Lucid Dreaming, the author of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming (more than 120,000 copies in print; Ballantine, 1991) teaches his simple, tested methods for becoming fully conscious in the dream state. With techniques perfected during LaBerge's 20 years of pioneering research at Stanford University, now anyone can learn to consciously explore and use their dreams for self-discovery, creativity, fantasy fulfillment, emotional healing, and profound spiritual insight. Available for the first time in paperback, this complete mini-course shows you: * The fastest and most effective program to awaken in the dream state * How to "re-dream" your nightmares to resolve hidden fears * Ways to use dreamwork for emotional healing * How to use the lucid dream state to more fully awaken in your daytime hours. Features a CD complete with dream induction sessions, exercises, and more. Review: Excellent book - Don't be fooled by the 96 pages, this is an excellent book. I owned the first book that does have a lot more detail and does seem more 'scientific' in it's approach, but I lost it years ago and wanted to come back to the subject with renewed enthusiasm. I took a chance and bought this version, which is shoreter but to the point. It's layout is very easy to read and understand and the excersises make more sense this time round. I do listen to guided meditations so the thought of a cd containing these appealed to me also and it didn't let me down. In fact, after reading the book and listening to the cd once, I had a lucid dream the same night! It does what it claims, shows you how, and I can vouch that it works. That's 5 stars in my book! Review: 'suchstuff as dreams are made on.." - I already had this book in my library but when my 20year old grandson began to dream lucidly and asked for advice this was the one I bought and sent to him.( I was not going to give away my own copy... I still use it) It gives all the explanation one needs on the subject in a direct and no nonsense way.Lucid dreaming is beginning to happen more and more to people and often quite young ones. It can be alarming unless you know what is happening and this book gives you sound advice. The language is straight forward and not wrapped up in over glamourised format. highly reccommended.

Fantastic
This is a great book which comes with a free cd which makes it more exciting, another great book and this Author knows what he is talking about, I just like the way that this book is set out. The reason why I gave this book five stars, is because it has so much information inside of it and it explains everything in great detail. I would recommend this book to anybody, I am going to buy another copy for my friend because it is that good, I really love this fantastic book. This book arrived on time which made me so happy and also it arrived in good condition, I am so pleased with my purchase. I have nothing bad to say against this book. Thank you to Amazon.co.uk, and to the seller who sold me this great book.

Does not come with an Audio CD?
While the book does contain useful information for those exploring lucid dreaming, the copy I was sent did not contain the advertised audio CD.

Interesting
But not the same depth as Robert Waggoner's book. Nonetheless, this is written by one of the pioneer researchers of lucid dreaming, so well worth a read..

Worthwile reading
"Lucid Dreaming" is a skill and therefore can be learned. The whole concept is about becoming conscious within your dreams while remaining asleep. I reckon anyone interested in the book has a rough idea of the concept, so I won't bore you with that. LaBerge is the foremost expert on the subject of lucid dreaming and the first to conduct scientific research into the topic. His book describes various ways how to attain consciousness within ones dreams. He gives examples of the utility of lucid dreaming and the book concludes with an outlook that I would describe as a mix between esoteric and philosophical. Still, I don't regret the purchase of the book at all. However, don't be mistaken, it's only an introduction into the topic and by no means an extensive tutorial into the techniques (even those mentioned in the book).

Not worthy and No useful info apart from Audio CD
It doesn't have any useful information about lucid dream. Stephen previous books are so motivational and lot of info. 5 star for Self-Hypnosis Audio. You can buy it for Audio CD alone.
