Dr. Martens Women's 1460 Ankle Boots, Black, 4 UK

These are the first pair of Docs that I've owned. Docs are quite expensive but I wanted a pair of boots that would be sturdy and long lasting which is why I didn't mind the price. Hopefully they'll last a long time. They are incredibly stiff at the moment and I was a bit worried at first but after a bit of googling I see that, apparently, this is perfectly normal. I am gradually breaking them in by wearing them around the house for an hour a day and already I'm starting to notice an improvement in fit/comfort. I am a size 4 with a high instep. The length and width are great but they were really tight to begin with over my instep. Where the tongue is stitched into the boot is quite narrow for me and it did take a lot of tugging to get my foot inside to begin with but apparently this is quite common for a lot of people. I just wore really thin, silky socks and used a shoe horn the first time I put them on and now I no longer need to as I am breaking them in.

These shoes are brilliant! I've been wearing them every day for work and they're really comfortable! I knew to expect the pain of breaking in tough leather shoes, so I wear plasters on my heels and two pairs of socks every day - make sure to tie your laces as tight as possible to prevent rubbing. (I've been wearing leather shoes almost daily all my life, so my heels are pretty scarred and unbreakable.) They're no bigger than I excepted them to be, they are a little wide but the length is fine. The shoes arrived on the last expected delivery date via Royal Mail, in a Dr Martens shoebox with all the stuffings you could expect - they arrived with the black shoelaces and a spare bag of yellow shoelaces. All in all a brilliant shoe - and as long as you know what to expect and prepare, you can prevent a lot of the pain!

I've always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens, so when I found a pair selling at a cheaper price for 'used-like new' in exactly my size, I knew it was a sign. The shoes came within 2 days, and were packed in a branded shoe box and included a set of yellow laces. As far as fitting goes, I can't complain - I'm a UK 4.5, and the UK4 fit me snugly. I've heard that these boots need some breaking in, and most suggest wearing two pairs of socks with your boots to prevent blisters the first few weeks- the boots fit well enough without socks, but could accommodate socks without your feet feeling cramped either. Great buy!

This was a pair of DMs for my wife. They are, as you would expect first class quality. I owned a pair of these over 40 years ago and loved them, like walking on air once they're broken in. When I saw them I was so impressed that we ordered a pair for me too.

Meine ersten Dr. Martens habe ich vor ca. 20 Jahren gekauft. Eigentlich konnte ich mich nicht mehr genau daran erinnern, wie viele Blasen ich mir damit am Anfang gelaufen habe. Denn wenn sie erst einmal eingelaufen sind, will man sie nicht mehr ausziehen. Etwas später hatte ich mir schwarze Lackleder-Docs gekauft. Da war das mit dem Einlaufen etwas schwieriger, weil das Leder nicht so nachgibt und sich auch nicht ganz so sehr anpassen will. Ca. 1998 habe ich mir in Düsseldorf in einem kleinen Laden grüne Speckleder-Docs, ebenfalls 8-Loch zugelegt. Diese habe ich eigentlich fast gar nicht mehr ausgezogen. Die waren von Anfang weich, es gab keine Blasen, keine Probleme, einfach rein da und wohlfühlen. Selbst zum Motorradfahren habe ich sie getragen. Leider sehen sie jetzt auch super abgeliebt aus (von oben, die Sohle ist immer noch wie neu). Vor zwei Jahren habe ich mir dann auch bei Amazon braune Speckleder-Docs gekauft. Sind auch super bequem. Jetzt habe ich vor kurzem gedacht, dass ich mir die schwarzen Classiker wieder zulegen könnte und habe das auch getan. Ich finde sie super schön, die Verarbeitung ist gut, auch wenn viele meckern, dass die Boots nicht mehr in England hergestellt werden. Das Einlaufen ist natürlich eine Sache für sich, also zwei Paar dicke Socken an und die Füße verpflastern was das Zeug hält. Lasst Euch davon nicht abschrecken, da muss man durch, danach sind sie wirklich super bequem.

This is a gift for my cousin’s 14 years old birthday. She likes it. Material is a little hard, need time to break in. But the shoes are very stylish and in great quality.

Inizialmente ho ricevuto gli stivali nella taglia sbagliata, 37 invece di 41, ma il problema era dovuto ad un bug nell'inserzione Amazon, che linkava alla taglia sbagliata anche se selezionavo l'opzione corretta. Ho contattato direttamente il venditore, senza chiedere la restituzione ad Amazon, il quale mi ha risposto velocemente e appartato il numero che avevo bisogno, si sono occupati anche della spedizione di ritorno e anche della nuova spedizione del paio corretto, tutto a proprie spese. C'è voluto qualche giorno, ma ad onor del vero, a Milano c'erano di mezzo le festività di Immacolata e Sant'Ambrogio. Gli stivali sono originali DrMartens, perfetti, imballati correttamente e sono arrivati in condizioni ottimali. Il numero veste giusto, sono per mia moglie che normalmente indossa il 41, la taglia è conforme. Per il resto, sono come sono sempre stati i DrMarten, bellissimi e, con un po' di pazienza per ammorbidirli, comodissimi e caldissimi anche con pioggia e neve.

Compradas en oferta, calidad y robustez a buen precio. Hay cosas en las que merece la pena invertir, y el calzado es una de ellas, si además el precio es bueno, ni pensárselo.
