Dr. Martens 1460 Smooth Lace-Up Boots Black

These are the first pair of Docs that I've owned. Docs are quite expensive but I wanted a pair of boots that would be sturdy and long lasting which is why I didn't mind the price. Hopefully they'll last a long time. They are incredibly stiff at the moment and I was a bit worried at first but after a bit of googling I see that, apparently, this is perfectly normal. I am gradually breaking them in by wearing them around the house for an hour a day and already I'm starting to notice an improvement in fit/comfort. I am a size 4 with a high instep. The length and width are great but they were really tight to begin with over my instep. Where the tongue is stitched into the boot is quite narrow for me and it did take a lot of tugging to get my foot inside to begin with but apparently this is quite common for a lot of people. I just wore really thin, silky socks and used a shoe horn the first time I put them on and now I no longer need to as I am breaking them in.

These shoes are brilliant! I've been wearing them every day for work and they're really comfortable! I knew to expect the pain of breaking in tough leather shoes, so I wear plasters on my heels and two pairs of socks every day - make sure to tie your laces as tight as possible to prevent rubbing. (I've been wearing leather shoes almost daily all my life, so my heels are pretty scarred and unbreakable.)They're no bigger than I excepted them to be, they are a little wide but the length is fine.The shoes arrived on the last expected delivery date via Royal Mail, in a Dr Martens shoebox with all the stuffings you could expect - they arrived with the black shoelaces and a spare bag of yellow shoelaces.All in all a brilliant shoe - and as long as you know what to expect and prepare, you can prevent a lot of the pain!

My first pair of Dr Martens ever, and I think I took the plunge as a mid-life crisis thing, but I don't regret it!I read all the reports of having to break them in, and it turned out that was an understatement. It's taken over a month, and although I lvoed the look, I failed to see how anyone could describe them as 'comfortable'. I had blisters on my blisters, and had to wear thick socks with them, which made them feel uncomfortably tight at times.It was worth it.Now, they really do feel fantastic - comfy and tough, with a good feeling of security when I'm all laced in!And, of course, they still look great. I've been treating them every few days or so to a rub of Wonder Balsam, and I'd recommend anyone else to use it too. Keeps them looking smart.

Really pleased with the product, I've always worn Doctor martins since I was 15 years old now I'm 70 years old and would not wear anything else, would recommend them

Non è la prima volta che acquisto il prodotto in questione poichè è molto versatile nel suo utilizzo.Infatti, lo si può utilizzare con un jeans stretto, un pantalone elegante, o comunque sia, con quasi tutti i capi di abbigliamento.La pelle dello stivale, si sa, appena acquistata vanta una rigidezza scomoda, ma non bisogna lasciarsi intimorire.La pelle infatti, passando del tempo a contatto con i vostri piedi, ne assumerà la forma, diventando così di una comodità disarmante.Sono molto robusti e solitamente, tendono a durare per anni e anni.Dr Martens è una certezza quando si tratta di stivali e di certo, a mio parere, non ha eguali in fatto di qualità.Un consiglio che però posso esprimere, è quello di non farsi intimorire dalla rigidità dello stivale.E' vero che le prime volte sarà fastidioso indossarlo, ma appena modellati, diventeranno delle pantofole bellissime..La calzata è regolare, quindi bisognerà acquistare il numero che solitamente si veste..Acquistateli e godeteveli.. Sono davvero uno spettacolo!

Nachdem meine alten Martens nach über zehn Jahren ihren Dienst vehement quittierten war klar; die gleichen noch mal. Der Versand über diesen Shop lief superschnell, transparent - einfach perfekt unkompliziert ab. Keine unnötigen Plaste- und Füllmaterialien an und im Paket; thumbs up! (Einziger Makel, der DHL-Bote, der zu faul ist die richtige Klingel zu drücken und aus Bequemlichkeit alles im EG abgibt, aber das Spiel ist ja bekannt)Die Schuhe; eine Pracht in Mattschwarz. Habe sie in Gr. 42 bestellt, da ich orthopädische Einlagen tragen muss. Schuhe aus dem Karton; Optik: 1a. Biegen, knicken, riechen, Nähte kontrollieren: alles wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Einlagen rein; passen perfekt. (Normalerweise trage ich eine 41 bis 41, 5, entsprechend breit und lang sind die Einlagen). Der langersehnte Moment; Schuhe an die Frau. Yes! Klar, sie müssen sich etwas weiten, die Schnürung der Senkel der persönlichen Präferenz angepasst werden... aber sie sitzen und drücken nicht mehr als normal. Nach dem ersten, prophylaktischen Einfetten also raus auf die Straße. Nichts kneift, scheuert oder drückt unerträglich; nach drei Tagen waren die Boots und meine Füße eins. Und das werden sie auch die nächsten zehn, zwölf Jahre bleiben.
