My husband has struggled with a really bad dry, itchy scalp for a long time, and nothing we tried seemed to help. I honestly felt so sorry for him because it was constant and uncomfortable. I decided to give this E45 shampoo a try, and I’m so glad I did. There’s no real scent to it, which was a bit strange at first, but the results make up for it completely. After using it consistently, he hasn’t had any dry scalp, flakes, or itching at all. His scalp looks so much healthier, and he’s not scratching anymore. It’s gentle, lathers well, and does exactly what it promises. If you’ve tried other anti-dandruff shampoos without success, this one is definitely worth trying.

Lovely shampoo. Cleared a my scalp quickly which was very dry and flaky. Lathered very well using a tiny amount. Doesn’t really have a fragrance but that was ok. Will but again.

I have only used it the once so far. But found it to be gentle and soothing. My scalp is still itchy and dry, but only time will tell.

I've been using E45 Dry Scalp Shampoo for several months now (since July 2025), so its had a fair test. As someone who suffers from dry scalp combined with sores and spots on the scalp. This shampoo is the only one that actually works for me. I had a suspicion that using other shampoos etc is the irritant for my scalp, this has been confirmed to me with this shampoo. Over the years i tried multiple anti dandruff shampoos, tar shampoos, expensive brand shampoos and they all irritate my scalp and produce sores with pus and blood. I've been using the same barber for over 10 years for haircuts, he asked for the very first time last month what shampoo i was using as my scalp was shiny and clean. So its took 5 months to clear it (or for my hairdresser to notice it). But i haven't had any sores since using E45 Scalp Shampoo. Just to add i stopped using conditioner on my hair as well and only use E45 Shampoo now. I did actually use conditioner last week and it produced a sore on my scalp. So that's me done with using anything else! 100% effective for me with dry scalp with sores and spots combined. It smells very bland - but it means nothing to me as its doing its job. Top Tip: Bin all the rubbish shampoos in your bathroom and try this! Excellent overall

A great shampoo! I had some scabs on my scalp, due to constant scratching and after 1 wash they have gone! I left it on for 5 minutes and then did a second wash. My hair is very dry afterwards, so you need to put a really good conditioner on. I would recommend only using this once a month ideally, or when needed. But it really does work!

Overall: ✩✩✩-- The shampoo was fine on its own. You do not need to use a significant amount for it to work well. Upon initial use, the shampoo helped to relieve the itching in my scalp. However, over several weeks, I noticed that it reacted badly with Head and Shoulders. I am not quite sure why this is the case. But it has left my hair itching even worse for the coming weeks. I do not recommend that you use any other hair products when using this one. I am now having to go see the GP to see what it has done to my scalp. Packaging The product arrived in a timely manner as expected from Amazon Prime. It was neatly packed and did not have any damage upon arrival. The product The product is a 200 ml shampoo bottle, that is, a bottle that is just about the same size as the palm of your hand. It is a plastic bottle with a blue cap. It is durable and lasts for a weeks if you are conservative with your use of it. The smell The product does not smell particularly nice. It has a strong medicinal smell, almost like the smell of hair dye. It is pungent, but when washed off from the hair, it does not leave an after-smell luckily. The lather The product lathers well when in the shower. I have no complaints about the quality of the lather either. It is not too frothy like other shampoo brands, nor is it too dry to lather up like Lynx. Reaction with other hair products The product does not seem to like to be combined with Head and Shoulders and caused a nasty reaction to my scalp. It has left it itching for weeks which has not been particularly comfortable. It does not seem to reach with my Loreal Conditioner. I would recommend that you apply only a small amount to determine if it reacts with your own hair products.

I’ve used Head and Shoulders for years but it turns out this was what I needed. Has definitely reduced my head itchiness and any flakiness coming out of my hair. Great value for money

I am absolutely amazed by this shampoo! I just had to leave a review. I have long blonde hair. It’s been like straw. My scalp has been itching and I have broken my hair from scratching. I was thinking I might have to cut it. I used this shampoo and OMG what a difference! I have soft shiny hair again! Really shiny! I never thought a shampoo could make such a difference! No hair cut needed and the itching gone!

After learning I had some allergies , to what seemed like almost everything in shampoo, this was listed as one of the things that would safe for me to use. It leaves your hair super soft and has definitely improved my scalp health. Just wish it came in a bigger bottle!

My wife has sensitive skin in particular on her Skala. We found a product from Canada which worked great but too hard to get so tried E45 and it did the trick, Competetivly prices so happy to use this product from now on.

Have been using this for months. Works well. No scalp irritation. No more dry scalp. Only slight downside is no fragrance.
