Automatically turns on and off | Capacitor model for improved performance in extreme operating temperatures (hot or cold). Never miss anything important with loop recording the 160 degree Wide Angle Lens and excellent low light recording. Automatically captures impact events (with G sensor) | Change camera settings using 2" LCD screen. Easily attach to windshield using adhesive GPS mount | Stores 7 hours of HD video (with 64GB memory card not included). Start the Engine and Roll the Video The A119 with GPS is an easy-to-install above-dashboard camera that records road tripsin high definition using an F1.8 low-light lens with wide 160° field of vision. The wedge-shaped design helps conceal the small-footprint camera when placed by the rear-view mirror. Justpress the adhesive mounting plate tothe inside of your windshield, snap in the camera and channel the power cord to the cigarette lighter. There’s no battery to charge, and the capacitor-type connection senses when the ignition is started and shut off, so the video is always recordingwhen you’re on the go. Add a 64GB memory card, and you’ll be able to store 7 hours of stunning HD video. Loop recording ensures that you’ll never run out of memory as uneventful video is routinely replaced by the newest videos and photos. Thanks to the built-in G-sensor that detects a collision, the A119 automatically protects video captured before and after an incident from being erased. Putting GPS to Work for You The A119 with GPS leverages Earth’sGlobal Positioning System of satellites to decrease your chances of getting into an accident. You’ll be able to activate a pair of warning systems: one that alerts youin case your vehicle veers out of lane and a forward collision system thatsounds an alarm if your vehicle is moving too fast with an obstacle ahead. The GPS module also tracks your speed and position as you travel and embeds the data on top of the video. In case of an incident, you’ll have a complete, go-to-the-video record of what occurred. Plug into a PC Only as Needed Thanks to the built-in color display and hard buttons below the LCD, you can adjust allthe camera’s settings and review footage right in your vehicle. You’ll be able to mute the microphone, take photos, change the exposure value, and do time-lapse recordings. When you do want to share or archive content, simply remove the camera from the mount and copy files to a computer using the included USB cable. On an external screen, you’ll fully appreciate the sharpness of pictures, the smooth frame rate and the revealing detail even when the camera captures the road at night. Capacitor Power Leveraging the battery power of your vehicle, the A119 bypasses the chore of recharging an internal or removable battery found in many cameras. That means dwindling camera power will never be an issue. Also, you won’t have to worry about a camera stored by the dashboard overheating when the vehicle is left under a hot sun with the windows rolled up. And if you choose to have the camera always record video whenever you go for a drive, the capacitor-type connection automatically senses when the ignition is started and shut off. That means you don’t have to even think about touching the camera until you need to play back video when something unusual happens. Review: Im keeping this one - This is my forth dash camera I purchased online, and this is the first one I am not sending back. I wasn't happy with the other ones, one didn’t last more than a week before I started having issues, the other the gps didn’t work, another was in Chinese. However this A119, it’s not just the quality of the picture, but the GPS works and work well. . This camera is so much better. I love the fact that I do not have to do anything to make this camera work. I get in the car and drive, knowing that if there is ever anything I need to review, it will be there. I tested it for a few days, just leaving it hooked up and doing my normal driving to and from work, and then checked the footage and was pleased. The menu took some getting used to but once I understood how to use it I was fine. I did mess up with the positioning of the mount, and what happened is I had to go out and get more double sided tape. Only issue I have with sticky mounts. But overall amazing amazing camera. Review: What an upgrade - I had the a118 dash camera for 2 years and it worked great, no issues, and we just traded in our old Honda Pilot for a 2015 pilot and we left the dash camera in the trade in. So I wanted to buy it again when I saw that they came out with the A119. It is such a great camera and now with the pivot left to right lens, I have it positioned on the left side of the windshield. Fabulous the video quality looks crisp and the new design is amazing.

Just not consistent enough, with memory errors every few days.
I really wanted this to work as the form factor is simply perfect for my application. However, having tried multiple units along with different brands/sizes of SD card, ensuring they were formatted in the camera or via the SpyTec utility, it simply wasn't consistent enough. Every day or so there would be a series of memory errors and you can guarantee in the event of needing the video that this would be the case. So, what's the point of having it if you can't rely on it to do its job? I've now returned all the items purchased and the search continues!

Nice dash-cam
Video quality is as good as I’ve seen. Appears reliable and well built. The adhesive mount is good and strong. Mini-USB port is a good design choice since many dash-cams use it. The reason I bought this camera is I hope I never need it. It’s like insurance, you have it but you hope you never need it. This unit came with the gps mount, didn’t think I needed it, but with it connected, it records the speed in which im traveling. no more he said she said, its what’s on video record. 4 stars because nothing is perfect.

Wouldn't buy it again
It works Ok at 1080HD with GPS tracking, but at the higher resolution 1440 the GPS doesn't work. Since 1440 has the better resolution and was the reason I bought it, was a let down. I didn't realise there was a GPS recording problem until after an incident, and then I couldn't produce evidence of my speed. Support at Spy Tec were useless, The problem remains unfixed, so I use it at 1080 now. If you don't want GPS at 1440, it seems fine - but not otherwise.

Stealthy dash camera
This little guy is just what i needed a small dash camera with not extra wires for the gps. I When i buy things i try to buy on the relatively high end of things, to get the features and sort of future proof the specs if that makes sense. However, this dash camera although the price is on the low end, it is 100% a high end product. I have the Mobius action camera now as my rear view camera and the A119 as my main front dash camera. The combination is flawless, combined the capture almost the entire road both front and back, the night time recording is what sent it over the top for me, nice crisp video, license plate can be read easy. The button on the camera are a nice size. Everything about this camera is nice.

Picture Quality
I bought this camera as a cheap fix for an older 2nd car. Totally surprised at how good it is. The picture quality is great. I use 2K.(1440). To me this is the most important feature along with GPS for speed info. The only small negative is that it takes a little time to master the menu buttons, but once tried everything fell into place. People tell me that a camera this price isn't as good as more expensive camera. I disagree. This camera has good choice of settings and although the screen is small, I have no bother seeing it to enable positioning. Anyway, you need to insert the SD card into the PC for the best view on any camera. The clip/off facility is very convenient as I use a suction mount. Overall, I don't think you could by a better value dashcam. So much so, that I am replacing my Mobius cameras in both mine and my wifes' cars.

Awesome… I bought 2
This dash cam is Awesome. I have one on the front windshield and the second one was a gift for my brother’s jeep. It's been working great. I did not give 5 stars once the car is off, the camera only runs for about a minute. If you're in an accident or are stopped by the police, the car has to be shut off, but I may want to continue recording. I recommend this dashcam for all drivers. You just never know when you may need it.

SpyTec A119
Buon Prodotto, Funziona molto bene e di semplice installazione collegandolo all'accendisigari.

Really Nice Dash Cam
The A119, which is actually manufactured by Viofo and sold by a number of companies including SpyTec, is truely one of the best dash cams out there, especially in its price range. You'll find lots of strong reviews about its performance and features. I decided to buy mine from SpyTec because they are an established company with a good reputation, they provide a 1-year warranty (not every vendor provides a warranty), and they have solid and responsive tech support if you need it. One thing I learned in my first few days with this unit is that it takes a computer with a pretty healthy processor to be able to produce a smooth playback of the 1440p video files that it generates. I first tried playing back files on a laptop with an older processor and the playback was very choppy, leading me to believe there was something wrong with the dash cam or perhaps the speed of the memory card I was using. I tried 32GB Class 10 memory cards from two manufacturers, however, and the results were the same. SpyTec's tech support responded quickly by email, and then called me on the phone to work the issue. The bottom line is that for whatever reason, it takes a newer i5 processor or higher to smoothly decode and display the compressed video files at the highest resolution settings. It may be the way the A119 encodes its video, and the tech at SpyTec indicated he would follow up with Viofo on this. Having worked thru this issue, I am very impressed with the dash cam and very happy I chose to purchase it from SpyTec. Part of my first few days for the A119 was running it thru some testing to see how it performed while I had the opportunity to return it if I didn't like it. I tried various resolutions of video, of course, and I can see no reason to use any setting other then the highest (2560x1440). I ran sample video at night using both low and high beam headlights, driving into total darkness, into on-coming traffic in one and in multiple lanes, and in various back road and highway environments with both lit and unlit signage. Video at night is better than I expected. I also made daytime runs, including turning into the sun. I was very impressed with the camera's ability to contain the bright sun in the image and still allow you to see quite clearly in other areas of the video frame. Overall, video performance is great. This unit included a GPS module, and it quickly sync'd up with a sufficient number of satellites to display both location coordinates and speed. After unboxing the A119, I first powered it up with the GPS module attached indoors using a portable USB/5v power supply and even indoors the GPS quickly figured out where I was. On the road, you can set it to record location and speed or just location if you'd prefer that your speed not be a matter of record. Physically, the unit is not the smallest one out there, but the layout and design is good, especially with the ability to swivel the camera lens both vertically and horizontally. It easily fits behind a rearview mirror on a windshield with any slope and allows you to adjust the camera to be level or at pretty much any angle you like. I've mounted mine on the right side (passenger side) of the mirror mount since it provides more room with the angle of the mirror toward the driver, and it sits up behind the mirror as high as I could get it and maintain a clear view (keep it below any tint or dots) but in range of the windshield wipers. It's barely noticable from the driver's seat so it's not the least bit obtrusive, and it's not very visible from outside. The menu system is easy to enter and easy to navigate if you ever need to. Once set up the way you like it, however, I can't imagine needing to access it very frequently. You can play back the video files on the A119's display, but it's hard to see much and not very convenient. The memory chip will pop into a phone, of course, which provides a bigger screen for viewing recorded video in the field. I tested this on my Samsung J7 and it actually works quite well. You'll just need a video player that's compatible, and for Android phones a great (free) option is VLC. Just go to the Play Store and find the VLC for Android app and install it. It's also handy for playing a wide array of other video file formats should you ever need to. For power, most cars now have courtesy/map lights up by the mirror, which provides a great place to tap into power without having to run a long and pretty stiff/fat wire all the way around to a power port. Amazon has a number of 12v-to-5v converter boxes for about $10, and I picked up one of these with its own fuse and a mini-USB connector. I removed the plastic ceiling module with the two lights and sunglasses storage, tapped into a 12v source (a voltmeter is helpful for finding power that's either switched by the igition switch or not, as you prefer), tucked the converter and excess wire up inside a little cubby, ran about 6" of the mini-USB wire out alongside of the A119's location, and put the ceiling light module back in place. Now there's only inches of wire showing, which makes for a very clean installation. Given that some folks have reported failures of the A119 and the fact that it'll see a fair amount of use and power cycling, I did opt for the Square Trade 4 year warranty that cost less than $10. I've seen mixed reviews on Square Trade, so we'll see how tht works out if I ever need it. In the meantime, the dash cam is working great. A word about memory: it appears a number of folks have asked about how large a Micro SD card can be used, and I'm not sure why you would want a lot of memory. The answer is 64GB, by the way, but to me it makes more sense to have two cards of 32GB each. You can set the length of video clips that the camera will record (it transitions smoothly between these clips, by the way), and I set mine to 3 minutes as a compromise between the size of each file and the number of files generated. It'll make these all day long, recording over the oldest once memory is used up. A 32GB card allows several hours of recording before any overwriting occurs. If something happens that impacts the car, the force will cause the camera to lock that file so as not to record over it (or you can manually lock the file) and it will continue to record new files until powered down. If an accident happens, my plan (assuming consciousness) is to pop out that memory card anyway and replace it with the second card. The bottom line: I highly recommend this dash cam if you're in the market for one, and given my very positive experience with SpyTec I highly recommend you buy it from them.

Great customer service
Great customer service. The GPS module was missing in the first place, however, customer service was very responsive and arranged the shipment of the missing part fairly quickly. Today I have installed the camera and liked it very much with the clean and low profile appearance. Overall satisfied with the purchase, will recommend.
