I almost never leave reviews (no time!) but for this wonderful tea from wonderful people it's an absolute pleasure. I wanted a premium product and that's exactly what I got. They ship the tea vacuum-packed and provide a zip-lock bag for storage after opening, and even a sticker to show what's in the bag: amazingly thoughtful! The special feature of Darjeeling is that you can steep the leaves 3 or possibly 4 times... I use a 'tea ball': they are not expensive and are very easy to use. The second and third steepings give the best flavour, so as you enjoy the first cup, you just know that the next two will be even better! Depending on the size of cup, you can push on to a fourth. This makes a premium Darjeeling much better value than the price per 100g suggests! Best of all, Vahdam are a business local to their product: buying from them directly supports the economy in the tea-growing region throughout the supply chain. Love it, love it, love it.

I’m so happy I found Vahdam Darjeeling. I like to have my tea neat without milk and most teas are far too bitter for that. This is mild and smooth but retains all its flavour. The packaging always seems to keep it fresh and it’s such a joy to see tea leaves that still look like tea leaves. Great price too. As you can see I have a filter on top of my huge mug and let the leaves sit in it for a few minutes. Even if you let the leaves sit for ten minutes or more it still tastes great

Ordered this tea for my mother who comes from South India and has a family-owned tea estate in Kerala (so she knows a thing or too about good tea!). Good flavour and nice big leaves, no dust or sweepings off the floor here! My only complaint is the packaging. The company say they are plastic neutral but they should not use it in the first place. Tea bags are plastic pyramids and the packets are plastic "foil". Would be much happier if they used biodegradable packaging.

I again purchased the company's first flush Darjeeling which I had previously enjoyed from my initial purchase two years ago. Whether it was a bad batch I cant tell but the tea did not look the same. It was mostly green, not black and had an unpleasant taste like it had been contaminated with another product. It simply didn't look the same as last time indicating a quality control issue. I contacted the company and had a quick response sending them the details requested. They offered to send another packet but I declined. Really online shopping has just become a lottery, even a repeat purchase from a previously trusted brand. There is just no way of knowing what you will get. Who knows, but it has put me off buying tea online as I am sure purchasing it this way leaves you open to getting an inferior product. I threw it out due to the unpleasant taste and wont buy from this company again. Having paid a premium price for a product I feel there is a breach of trust when you receive an inferior product. I've also become more cynical about the background story presented by companies like this. Creating some romantic narrative about a family heritage with slick marketing almost always ends up as just another marketing twist to extract higher prices.

This is by far the best tea I've tasted and I can't recommend it too highly. Previously I used to order a Darjeeling tea from an independent tea seller, thinking this was as good as it could get. After all, it wasn't a packaged tea from one of the big companies. But this Vahdam tea has flavour and aroma. In comparison the tea from the independent tea seller has no taste and no aroma but does have a certain mustiness about it. Interestingly, since I stopped drinking the tea from the tea seller and switched to this Vahdam tea I've lost my eczema - which proves its freshness! So I expect to continue drinking Vahdam teas - for health reasons as well as for taste.

Very good strong flavoured tea

This is so good. I am an avid black coffee brewer. Thought of divulging into the world of tea for a change. And wow! Vahdam is doing a good democratizing the usually closed world of good quality Indian Darjeeling tea to the hands of us commoners! Way to go! Keep up your quality!

Tutto perfetto....tempi di consegna,il packaging e il prodotto in se'.Un te' delizioso e profumatissimo.L'ho scelto tra altre proposte perché' l'approccio etico che questa piccola azienda ha come caposaldo mi e' sembrato meritevole e degno di nota.Non sono un'esperta di te',per me berne una buona tazza e' semplicemente un momento di pace e relax, ma quando sorseggio questo delicato Darjeeling ,oltre a godere della sua ottima qualita' ,mi piace l'idea di aver supportato ,in piccolissima parte, gli sforzi di qualcuno che ancora fa' commercio mettendoci il cuore.
