Victorinox Universal Peeler, Black

Great peeler, very sharp and easy to use for carrot, pumpkin or zucchini. For potatoes it can be too sharp if (just like me) you peel from the outside towards the inside (means pressing the blade towards your thumb...you might cut the tip of your thumb!). Otherwise I love the stripes it leaves on the vegetables because it makes them more stable and less slippery later for cutting. Great quality!

I bought this because I lost our first one and missed it so much! It works really well. It is very sharp and will cut/peel almost any vegetable or fruit. The slight drawback is the ‘teeth’ on the blades - they can cause difficulty peeling soft items as they tend to drag or cut into the peel. Otherwise- the best peeler I have ever used in some 50years!

I have owned various Victorinox swiss army knives over the years and when our peeler finally rusted away this was the obvious choice on Amazon, especially at half price! The advert boasts that you can peel a tomato with this product so I put it to the test and was amazed how simply it peeled the tomato. Potatoes and carrots were a breeze too. The handle is nice and thick and easy to hold. Highly recommended for the elderly or those who struggle to grip other makes.

I've only used the Victorinox peeler for potatoes so far. It peeled them with ease. The peel wasn't so thick that it seemed like I was peeling half the potato away - I've had peelers that did this in the past. The blade allowed the peel to fall away from the cutting area, so it didn't get caught up or was in the way. The peeled surface had little grooves left in from the shape of the blade, but I'm fine with that. The handle is comfortable to hold too. This peeler is set to become my favourite kitchen tool.

I have been using this peeler for over a year now and I am very happy with it. Ordered one for my mother as well, she has arthritis and needs a very sharp and light peeler that doesn’t take much effort to use. I highly recommend this one if you have aches and pains in your hands and fingers.

I was surprised to find the handle is plastic... which in my experience is not a good thing and foreshadows a short life of such an item, but damn the blade is sharp! So for first use it went superb. Hope the plastic is good quality and thus it will hold the blade well and long!

Only been using it for a month. The blade is serrated so the only way to wash it is with a brush, any type of sponge gets stuck between the little slits on the blade. Other than that it’s really good, very sharp and sturdy. It’s good enough to peel a butternut squash, but you need to use a bit of force. It glides through carrots, parsnips and apples without any issues.

Very sharp, serrated blade, which works equally well for hard and soft fruit and vegetables. Incorporates a plastic beak for gouging the eyes out of potatoes. So far, it seems very robust and is excellent value for a Victorinox product.

. It's sharp, build quality is great and is light weight. Great performance and value for money. Easy to use and appearance wise its great as well. If you are looking to peel effortlessly, this product is a must buy.

Sbucciatore ottimo, sia per destrimani sia per mancini. Molto resistente e pratico da usare. Ergonomico e preciso, basta una sola passata per eliminare la buccia, sia per verdura, sia per frutta. Lavabile in lavastoviglie. Facile da pulire anche a mano, ovviamente prestando attenzione alla lama doppia. Basta una passata sotto l'acqua calda, ed è pronto per un nuovo utilizzo. Consigliatissimo. Molto bello anche il design, semplice e d'impatto.
