Natures Aid Cod Liver Oil Liquid 500ml

We now buy this on subscription for our very elderly dog, who has problems with his hip joints for over 1 year. We started giving it to him on the recommednation of a friend, and at the time of writing this review, we've been using it for about 2 months. So our comparisons below are based on what he was like for 10 months before we put him on this, verses his behaviour over the last 2 months. He gets breakfast and tea with a splash of this on top each time. He absolutely loves it and now gets very excited and all bouncy at feeding time, which is lovely to see. It's like looking up and seeing grandad getting down and dancing!!! So I guess it tastes nice from his point of view :-) But what has been the most amazing thing is that whereas previously he was limping around, going slow, etc. etc. now he can put in a little run for 20m, he is happy to get up and scrounge for food, it has really given him a new lease of life. Compared to the price of equivalent meds from the Vet, this is so much better value for money. Of course, it's not going to undo his loss of muscle, but he is clearly feeling a lot more comfortable and confident than before. It took about a month for it to kick in, but it's worth a shout. Quality of life is so important for our elderly dogs - and this has certainly seen a major improvement in his.

Despite claims of sunflower oil in product the quantity is likely to be lower than ~0.5% of total product as used for a carrier oil for vit A. I am satisfied with product and price. Will order again.

I have to trust that this stuff is good quality, espically as it's from an established brand. I was just a bit surprised that it has almost no smell. Past cod liver oils I've tried had a distinct fishy smell. Maybe it's because this stuff is only about 50% of it is cod liver oil and the rest is "fish oil". Anyway, hopefully it will do the trick.

Bought this cod liver oil thinking it would taste like pure regret, but honestly it’s nowhere near as bad as expected — and the benefits hit fast. One spoonful and I swear my joints sighed with relief like they’d just clocked off early. It feels like it oils the hinges of your whole body. Knees less crunchy, skin looking healthier, brain fog clearing — all from a bottle that smells like it came fresh from the North Sea. The liquid goes down smoothly, mixes well with juice if you’re a coward like me, and the bottle lasts ages. Even after a few days I felt more energised, less stiff, and slightly convinced I’m becoming a healthier version of myself. If you want an old-school supplement that actually does the job, this stuff is the real deal.

Just what he needed

I’m after the EPA and DHA content which is as good as a very expensive ‘max strength’ product that’s twice the price. Have already, after a few days, noticed how my itchy skin is improving. I must admit that I have had worse in terms of smell and taste; this is not too bad.

2.5 stars. I thought I was buying pure cod liver oil but on reading the label it is just 51 percent cod liver oil and 49 percent fish oil. ( doesn't say what kind if fish). It also comes is a plastic bottle. The consistency is not as thick as other products which made me suspicious. It is all rather misleading. I wish I had read some of the poorer reviews because they are, for the most part, spot on. But hey ho, you get what you pay for and it will serve its purpose for me. I won't be buying it again though.

Ich hatte es für meine Tervueren-Hündin als Futterzusatz bestellt. An sich liebt sie Fisch und alles "Drumherum" wie auch Fett auch Fischdosen (ich weiß - hier ist Vorsicht geboten!). Anfangs lehnte meine Hündin das Öl absolut ab ... bis ich heraus fand, das sie die Intensität störte. Habe sie dann langsam an den neue Geruch gewöhnt und jetzt liebt sie es. Eine gute Abwechslung zu Lachsöl und co. und eine gesunde Ergänzung zur Fütterung. Empfehlenswert!

Für Fischöl schmeckt das Öl wirklich gut, richt leicht nach Fisch. Zum ersten Mal schaffe ich es, ein Fischöl regelmäßig einzunehmen und es fält mich nicht schwer. Ich fühle mich nach paar Wochen viel munter, habe immer gute Laune und es tut meine trockene Haut besonders gut. Ich empfähle meinen Freunden, Bekannten und Unbekannten dieses Fishöl zu kaufen.

I like this cod liver oil. It claims to be from Iceland, and has similar amounts of EPA and DHA (omega 3 fatty acids) to the Norwegian lemon-lime flavored brand, at a much lower cost. And for that you get a slightly fishy after taste. Like all the oils, it's also likely to repeat on you every so often. While I have to admit that the more expensive oil does taste better, I don't think it's worth paying twice as much. So, for now, I'm buying this one.

Geschmacklich etwas widerlich es geht aber. Ich nehme es jeden Tag. Diese Form vom Supplement ist sehr hochwertig. Keine Beschwerden. Ich würde dieses Produkt wieder kaufen.
