If you have the frame set to shuffle, when using the motion sensor does it go back to the start position or just carry on showing different photos.

Yes you can if you obtain and install the latest firmware upgrade which I did in March 2017. You can use it as well as the motion sensor.

Yes it has sound but its gotta be dead silent in the room to hear any video. At least mine has the audio very low even if its max in all settings

does it show portrait layout photos the right way up?

He there - yes, it does show portrait photos the right way up, but they don't display on the whole of the screen like the landscape photos do - they have a small black margin either side, but the photos are still fine to view. Obviously, if you have any photos that have ""turned", you can rotate them on your computer, but all our photos loaded the correct way up initially, so we never encountered that problem. As we have already said, the photo frame was one of our best purchases - we are absolutely delighted with it.
