Clean, great-tasting water with strong pressure
I have been using the iSpring RCC7AK 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Under Sink Water System for a while now, and overall I’m very happy with it. The difference in water quality was noticeable almost immediately. The water genuinely tastes better than bottled water, and I now drink more water daily because of it. The water pressure is also very good for an RO system; it fills glasses quickly and doesn’t feel slow or frustrating (please see attached video). Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and everything feels well-made and solid. I also appreciate that it’s NSF certified, which gives peace of mind about safety and TDS reduction. After checking with a TDS meter, the reduction is impressive. Pros: -Water tastes clean, fresh, and pleasant -Good water pressure for an RO system -Strong TDS reduction -NSF certified -Build quality feels durable and premium -Saves money vs bottled water Cons: -Takes up some space under the sink -Initial installation takes a bit of time if you’re not DIY-confident -Filter replacements are an ongoing cost (expected for RO systems) Overall: This is a reliable, high-quality RO system that delivers exactly what it promises: great-tasting water with strong performance. If you’re looking to improve your drinking water at home, I would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant!
I really love this. It’s pretty big so you need quite a lot of space under your sink. The filters are big but filtered water goes into a tank and the tank is big too! My man is pretty handy and was able to install this himself but there are a couple of things to be aware of. It comes with American fittings so you need to buy flexi hose to connect it to our sink. It also comes with its own tap so needs space to install this which inevitably involves some drilling in the sink or work surface. Installation isn’t necessarily easy and depends on having the right tools and correct parts for the job. The tap is quite small and the water comes out quite slowly. However, the water looks and tastes clean. I can’t drink regular tap water now as it smells funny. You never really know whether these things are working. I live in a hard water area. My new kettle had limescale in it within a week. Since using this filter there is not one single speck of limescale… that’s good enough for me! The filters need changing once a year and are pretty competitively priced. As well as taking things out the water, this also re-mineralises with the things you want to keep. I’m really pleased with this and the water definitely tastes better!

A great product. RO is the way to better sustainability.
I have had one before therefore for our new property it was the obvious choice. Very robust, easy to assemble with clear instructions. Very well made. The water now is safe and tastes great especially with the additional alkaline add back cartridge. The tank is big so there is always water available for drinking and cooking, rinsing food etc. Why buy and carry litres of bottled water. RO is the way to better sustainability.

Reliable water filter system
Have been using it for a few years, great quality drinking water. The only drawback was too bulky. Low noise level.

Great water when filtered correctly, but ambiguity in multiple areas
I would give 5 stars but for the following reasons I won’t. The instructions could be better the following ways; 1) More specific e.g coded parts. 2) some steps omitted a clear explanation altogether e.g the leak stop valve step had no instructions how to setup. 4) Ambiguity surrounding adapters and sizes. For example, I’m not sure if the cold water valve is even suitable for my UK line because it seems the instructions are for American systems. I made some adjustments to the supplied cold water supply valve (all with the provided parts) so that it would fit but not sure if this was allowed due to the ambiguity. (I think is fine since no leaks and water is filtered correctly when drawing from faucet). - Also, measurement sizes; small issue but I’m not sure whether the tank size specified is US gallons or UK gallons, supplying this system in the UK should mean they alter their product to the UK market. 3) the troubleshooting sections has no information on fluctuating water pressure from the main cold water lines. (More context below). I was left confused after being 99% certain I installed the system correctly and I had (on paper) consistent cold water pressure (tested). After installation my water was cloudy and grey, the instructions says this is normal due to air and is safe but this information is incorrect and maybe dangerous. In my case, it was not air. Testing this cloudy water it showed tds ppm reading of 70~100 from a municipal water tds ppm of 330~450 (London tap water before filtering). I later discovered it must be carbon deposits but unsure how these were deposited since I correctly followed the instructions flushing the pre carbon filters and others as per instructions. After long and careful research I came to the conclusion that the cloudy grey water was caused by water pressure fluctuations from the washing machine when it was being used. In summary; there is no information or section about what to do if water pressure is affected periodically by pressure fluctuations due to different appliances which use the same cold water line as this filtration system. Which is a major caveat/issue, for some reason acknowledgment of this issue is omitted. This issue regarding fluctuations I think can be solved using a pressure regulator.

If you can put a price on health, it's the cost of this unit.
REF; RCC7AK 6 STAGE RO SYSTEM: Firstly, I would like to say that the customer service at iSpring is exceptional - Francis to be specific. I had a very minor issue that did not scare me away from this product nor create any annoyance re. installation. Francis quickly contacted and helped rectify a very minor issue I had, following up with me to try and rectify the issue asap - thank you Francis! Packaging & instructions/fitting: The box arrived well packed and packed so well that I would not expect damage during transit. Each item was in its own box and had very little movement. The items came out of the box easily and had no damage. Well packed. The instructions for the assembly and fitment were very detailed. If self-fitting this unit, you probably have some kind of idea about what you are doing so you may not need to use the instructions as gospel, but they do provide a very well detailed and easy to follow assembly instruction. The flow diagram was welcomed too. A nice quick reference guide to hosing. This helped me more than the instructions - I find visual instruction easier than detailed description instruction. Whether you work in fluid engineering or fancy the DIY challenge, the instructions supplied will certainly allow you to install with ease. It took me about an hour to install and commission/leak check. The unit (although it looks rather large) fits very easily inside of my 900mm wide cupboard. It even allows for space around the filtration unit and the reservoir for placing filter spares etc. It certainly surprised me with how well the unit fits inside of my cupboard. I expected to assemble it, offer it up to the cupboard only to find it was too large to fit and then need to send it back… but I could fit two RCC7AK 6 Stage systems inside of my cupboard. Perhaps it opens scope to add further filters elements onto this system in the future… Filters are easy to change. This unit comes with a filter housing removal tool to provide leverage on the housing. Install the filtration system above the base of your unit to allow ease of filter change. There is a detailed commissioning instruction near the end of the instruction so please do follow this for the correct initial start-up procedure to purge the pre-osmosis filters (ensuring you do not put carbon deposits into the RO (reverse osmosis) membrane. Supplied parts: During assembly, I happened to think to myself 'a 90 elbow fitting would be perfect here'... they had thought of that and supplied multiple fittings! More than I needed. The length of piping was perfect. I used about half of what was provided - even with a drain line that extended far down the waste pipe into the next cupboard (install horizontal and away from the u-bend trap to eliminate a dripping noise and potential backing up of sink waste into the drain-line in the event of blockage). All parts supplied fitted my standard UK kitchen (15mm comp / 1/2" BSPP) but I did use some PTFE between the threads just to seal them as the thread form is NPT and my kitchen is BSP (thread angles are slightly different and therefore do not mate perfectly). I have had no leaks in the week I have had fitted. Taste/Testing: The taste is incredible. It tastes pure and clean. No tang or bitterness. It tastes purer than the purest bottled water I have tasted. I will now avoid drinking water that has not been through my RO system. Bottled water at a push! I have (glass) bottles stored in the fridge filled with my RO water. Bottled water is nice... but iSpring RO water is second to none. I agree with another review here that I fill my bottle with this water and take it everywhere I go. See the images for the testing. I believe that these images speak for themselves. Obviously, the RO water cannot be TDS free due to the remineralisation process but down to 47PPM from 435PPM is an incredible job and there is a clear difference in the ‘clean’ taste even between RO water and bottled water. This is evidence enough that the water is truly forced through the osmosis filter. Alkalinity of this water is slightly higher (TAP is 7.66pH, BOTTLED is 8.70pH *Sometimes artificially raised using Bicarbonate of soda, RCC7AK RO is 9.72pH). Yes, I did calibrate my pH meter prior to use! I am yet to perform some detailed research into the difference a higher pH water provides but brief research suggests that it is easier for the body to consume. I will take higher pH being better for the body at face value at this point for this review. Overview: I would suggest that this unit is installed in every home for the sake of reducing the number of chemicals that are consumed through water. At the very least, bottled water should be consumed. Avoid tap water! For the small cost (yes, the cost of this unit is relatively low) this unit is 100% worth purchasing. Fitting is easy, it comes with a nice outlet for the water, water tastes incredible, and the customer service is outstanding. Every home should be fitting one of these units. And whilst you are at it... consider stopping using fluoride containing products such as toothpaste and mouthwash. Use fluoride-free alternatives. I have personally noticed positive differences with regard to dental/mental health. BUY the iSpring RCC7AK! – I was not provided any incentive to leave this review. All opinions are from my experience of using this product!

Not impressed
Not impressed, I've had this about 7 months now. When I first installed it the water was milky, I emailed the seller and he asked for photos of the set up which I sent but heard nothing back, I have since learned this is normal as it's small bubbles escaping from the filters and takes about 2 weeks to clear. However that never happened with us, our water has always had a funny smell to it, almost like the smell of washing machine water. We've never been impressed do we've never drank this water, however last week I finally had a spare few hours so I thought I'd look into it and maybe change the filters or something. I striped it down and found the sediment filter was still pure white, according to reviews after a few months it goes brown or yellow, also the main RO membrane felt slimy, again this is apparently not normal. Anyway, after a couple of hours of figuring out how this works it turns out it was connected up wrong, not my part but the parts that are pre connected and apparently 'ready to use'. Obviously my tank etc were now fully of none filtered water so getting this thing cleaned was next to impossible, it also had a tiny leak from the pre connected pipes that I just couldn't stop. I contacted Amazon about this and even though it's been 7 months they offered me a return. I have since bought another system off Amazon which is £149 and pumped. Although this has a slightly smaller drum the rest is about the same size and the quality of the connectors is far better. Also the instructions are far clearer and well written. We finally have clear and filtered water but not from the ispring system. I would save your money and search others on amazon.

A taste… not funny
Initially my fitter was a bit flummoxed by the installation instructions (english not his first language) so we watched a YouTube video together and it was eventually assembled, tested for leaks, primed for use and tested for water quality. The various parts fitted inside an undersink cupboard pretty well, leaving some room for storage. Upstream from the iSpring is a filter, not a water softener, which breaks down the calcium content of the quite hard London water. This was installed largely to minimise buildup of scale in the central heating system and within kettles, coffee machines, etc. Objectively the TDS within the filtered water showed a marked reduction against unfiltered tap water. I was aware that there would be no zero reading due to the presence of a remineralisation stage. As for the water itself on taste and smell, it seems to be good. My main concern, apart from the removal of unwanted contaminants, is the effect using the water to make drinks and for cooking has. Tea, made properly from high quality leaf, tasted much much better - with more character from the type of tea used (Assam). Coffee tastes better too. It replaces a ZeroWater jug filter which was good in some respects but removed all particilates making it less healthy and also £15 filters lasting only 3-4 weeks making it quite expensive. When the filter got to the end of it’s life, the water produced, when boiled, had an unpleasant ammonium smell. This system seems much better. Recommend.
