regarding connecting to the laptoo, mine can't seem to work. mike just doesn't show up as available under recording devices.

Had a similar problem with my go pro. I do nd it worked with the right angled attachment attached. If you already attached it, try going direct into the mic. Some laptops have a separate line in and line out? Perhaps it’s that? It works fine on my MacBook Pro
