Is the bridge is wide enough for a brio train loaded with passengers to fit through? We've had problems with non brio bridges. Thank you.

the width of the bridge is 4.4cm and is designed for all BRIO rolling stock. Any passenger arms sticking out wider than this may catch the lifted barrier.

Can this be used on it’s own? Like for toy cars?

The lifting bridge comprises a wooden ascending rail track, but depending on the size of the cars, it could be used for other vehicles other train engines.

can trains go underneath this bridge?

The Brio Lifting Bridge with rail track is designed for trains to travel over, not under.

Is it compatible with the ikea train?

As far as we were aware all manufacturers copy the original BRIO wooden railway system standard. I suspect that the IKEA track is faulty as they usually claim to be compatible. Is it only slightly out which could be put down to poor quality control by IKEA?
