Good value quality video light
I needed a further occasional key/fill light for video work (mainly studio) . My main (key) light has been an Elegant Key light (very good, very bright - quite pricey). I grabbed this for several reasons; namely, decent past experience with Neewer products and CHEAP. Having now used it I can comment on the following: - Light quality - seems pretty good when lined up against the good Elegato. An important plus - Cheap. Yes but quite decently put together. - Runs from a mains adapter or a Sony battery (not supplied but I have both so didn't really need / want these) - Easy dimmability. - Runs quite cool - Overall, I'm very happy with it. A few points to think about: - No power included in this pack. If you need this you will have to buy additionally or buy the set that includes it. I was happy to not pay for stuff I had already. - Direct lighting use its small and the light (even with diffuser) is quite harsh. I don't think the makes for use alone as a key/fill light that good. However, with a soft box arrangement or (as I do) bouncing the light (e.g. wall & ceiling) it softens up and goes a far more useful illumination source. Nothing really to do with this unit, simply a 'good lighting practice' thing. Just be a ware of its limitation. - It is a single colour (5600 K with a dimmer). The advertised 3400K comes with the use of a clip on filter and not by an adjustable LED mix dial. Its not an issue at this price point but be aware. As noted above the 5600 K seems to be good quality and that's likely what you are after.

It's my second, so I obviously recommend it
I've had one of these lights, which I use for photographing wild flowers and fungi, for two years and it's led (no pun intended) a harsh life and has been dropped on dirt and such a number of times, all without breaking or complaint. It's light (not pun intended), easily fixed to camera or small tripod, and even hand held. It's output can be varied easily, and there's a convenient battery condition readout. That said, for taking stills, it can last for hours. Video, not so long, but still enough for, say, filming butterflies/bees pollinating but a back-up battery is a necessity. They are not cheap. I would have preferred a bigger selection of colour filters - just the diffuser and an orange coloured one the only supplied - or else a way to buy more, but that's my only complaint. Reasonably priced. Recommended.

Great improvement in CN160 light from Neewer
About 5 years ago I bought the predecessor to this PT176 light (CN160) and have used it quite a lot. When I read about an update to that light I decided to try one. What a difference 5 years has made. The PT760 is not only brighter with 176 instead of 160 LEDs, it is cheaper, lighter and more compact. I always found the CN160 a little clumsy due mainly to its size to accommodate AA batteries which I never used as they don't last too long. This light takes only the Sony type camera batteries and is a much neater arrangement - I use the largest of these, the NP- F960 with 6600mAh capacity which seems to last forever and is not too expensive if you shop around online. The light has been completely re engineered and the other real improvement is that the plastic bracket was a weak point at its narrowest point and had to be repaired/modified by me virtually the first time I used the light. The new arrangement is much better and has a 1/4 inch thread inset into the base of the light which means you can use the bracket which comes with the light or any ball and socket mount you have lying around. As an engineer I can see that whoever designed the PT- 176 has thought about it and probably even used it - something I wonder about many other products! All in all a great improvement on the previous model and at a lower price excellent value especially compared to some lights which can cost ten times as much.

Great Video Accessory
When reviewing this light, the price has to be taken into consideration. This is a very cheap to buy, bright light. What you get though is not the full package. So more money needs to be spent. The light won’t work out of the box because you need to buy either a mains plug or a battery for it. So the cost of those needs to be added. A working package costs around £18.99 plus some kind of power option. I opted for a battery and charger at an extra £12.89 so the working light comes out at roughly £31. It is very bright and so you can take the diffuser off and bounce light off the ceiling if you want a smoother looking light, or put the diffuser on and point it direct at your subject for a harder light. Also useful for fill in light outdoors on very bright days. It works really well and the amount of light you get is easily controlled from a simple dial with a number digital readout. The negatives are kind of linked to the price. ie: you get what you pay for. While there are 176 led’s in there making it a great, bright light, the box is plastic and looks like it might crack if you drop it. The cold shoe mount supplied is very cheap and so I ditched mine and bought a decent one taking the price up another £7. The one supplied is a bit fragile and wobbly. So, it is a good light that supplies plenty for filming indoors and fill in outdoors, but you do need to buy some extras - in my case, taking the cost to £38. It’s still decent at that price though, but because it is delivered not working because there’s no kind of power supplied and that awful cold shoe mount, I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

Great addition to my streaming & Zoom set up
Managed to pick this up as a warehouse deal, so the price point I purchased at makes this an absolute bargain. Attached to my Viozon all in one stand on my desk no problem, the filters that come with it are easy to use, I use the warm filter more and even with the soft light box on this thing is seriously bright, I don't even use it at full brightness to achieve the effect I want. Battery life is fantastic (although you don't get batteries with the light, you have to buy them separately). Having recently purchased 4 pieces of Neewer gear I am really impressed with quality at the price point - I will add another one of these to my set up, although I might wait for another warehouse deal!!

Faulty
Purchased two months ago. It is used just once every week. Also purchased two new batteries, which are always recharged after every use. Have issues whereby the light switches itself off after a few minutes which lead me to think it was a battery fault, however It also reduces intensity dropping to 10% by itself. I already own a previous version of this model back in 2020 which gave me no problems and thus the additional purchase but disappointed with this one.

Very good for the money
Love this. I’m a novice with vlogging but I really needed this as in Scotland is quite dark nowadays and very hard to be able to film anything indoors without some additional light :). Does the job and I like that it comes with another shade of plastic to replace with the white one. In case you want some warmer lighting you will be covered. Another thing I like is that it comes with it’s a small adaptor underneath that can be attached to a tripod.. don’t know how it is officially called. I really like this product and it creates really bright light! However you can still adjust it as at the back it has a little wheel you can turn to get a less intensive light . You will need to get batteries though and an adaptor to charge those batteries as it doesn’t come with them. They aren’t expensive. I looked at the section in which amazon shows you what people usually buy this product along with. However, Brilliant. I am so happy I bought this! I use it every time I film Thanks

Good, simple and powerful.
All OK. One advice: do not keep NP-F batteries installed on panel if not used. In about 1 week, mine was drained completely. So, if not used, take battery out. No other things to be mentioned, the light is working as described.
