LEGO Technic 24 Hours Race Car

Purchased this for a 29 year old (Yes I know) and he absolutely loves it. Lego is really for all ages! The set itself is excellent quality, as would be expected! The instructions are clear and very easy to follow, I don't see why anyone maybe aged 8 or over couldn't attempt this with mild adult help. The finished product is really something to marvel at! We also purchased the electric pack to make this beat move! Overall I am very happy with this product and would say it is worth the £75-80 which it usually sells for.

I loved this Lego! It's actually amazing The working dofferential, independent suspension, moving engine the whole thing is fantastic! I have one issue, with Amazon prime delivery it didn't come in a box just the box you see in the picture with the delivery sticker stuck on. I like to keep my boxes to store instructions and spare bits in now with an ugly delivery sticker on. What if I had brought this as a present for my children... They would've seen exactly what it was ! But the product itself 5 stars !

I got this for my sons birthday. Love it... Easy to follow instructions and the choice of 2 ways to build the car. We sat down together to build it and, apart from 1 or 2 small bits he built the whole thing himself. Looks great and performs well plus you can add the motor to it . Would recommend as a must have to your lego collection .

As usual Amazon so easy to order, efficient delivery and good packaging. Put this set away for a week until I had a chance to build. Took me about 8 hours over 3 nights and it was an easy but very enjoyable build and very satisfying result. The functions are so smooth and HOG steering smoothest of any other set so far. I wasn't sure about ordering it. Over 20 years since my childhood lego addiction. Nothing beats technic. I had dug out my old 8865 and rebuilt it in a different colour scheme. Next the 8880 and 8070 had a lot to live up to. I was going to skip this car and hold out for 42056 but got to say I'm happy to park it beside those other sets. It's much cleaner looking than the old studded sets but I like the look of it. I applied the stickers as I think it really finishes the car and I don't intend to break down to create MOC just yet. Its pretty big too, significantly bigger than the 8070. Spend some time to sort the pieces out though and you will have it together in no time. I didn't order power controls and glad as it doesn't need them for the mail functionality, unless you want to IR remote control it. There is dpace in the bonnet to comfortably mount one. I've since been playing with mine like a kid again. Best thing about it is that you can literally open enough panels to see the entire technic working body. The V8 pistons and every cog! It looks better in hand than on pics and you won't regret buying it. I still want the 42056 but I'm glad I bought this. Good price on Amazon at the moment too

My 10yr old son, previously a lego fan now a lego technic fan loved making it and delighted with the outcome. It had 'lots' of parts but my son loved that. It took time and patience but well worth it. It turned out bigger than we expected. He's previously had a technic car, bike and jet he made but he found this a better achievement when made.

Excellent model, is a good size when built and is nicely detailed. Took me a couple of days to build, instructions were excellent. definite great value for money at the price I bought it for (£69.99). Also the 'B' model is pretty good too.

Quiet a bland build featuring almost none of the features that make a LMP1 car stand out, seriously a technological show piece of modern engineering and all you can represent is opening doors? The secondary build is also pretty dull and very much an after thought. The green is also a bit questionable.

As a keen follower of endurance racing and a regular visit to Le Mans, I found this Lego Technic kit absolutely brilliant. Instructions were clear and the fit of the Lego parts were perfect. I built it up over a week or so and thoroughly enjoyed it and was amazed at how many things actually worked.

Una volta aperta la scatola trovo 8 borse con i pezzi,più una che contiene solo i cerchioni e i pezzi bianchi di gomma flessibile e una borsa contenente una sola enorme istruzione un po' come quella della ruspa Volvo L350F 42030, di 255 pagine. NUOVI PEZZI -Il parafango, colore verde chiaro.Saltano subito all'occhio ,migliorano la linea e l'estetica complessiva dell'auto.Numero :6097208 -Tutti e tre i pezzi del gearbox migliorati, gli ingranaggi rossi sono bilaterali e il pezzo grigio più grosso rispetto a quello vecchio rosso Numeri:6100931,6100932,61900930. Inoltre ci sono tanti pezzi di un nuovo colore,il verde chiaro, colore esclusivo,fatto solo per questo set. (NOTA BENE: questo set è verde chiaro ,non verde). COSTRUZIONE La durata della costruzione varia da 2 ore e mezza a 5 ore. Divertente comunque per via dei tanti pezzi strani inclusi. Istruzioni chiare e senza errori. PRODOTTO FINITO L'auto è lunga 48 cm ed è anche molto larga (21 cm) FUNZIONI -Sospensioni indipendenti,molto basse, adatte per questo tipo di auto. -Sterzo dell'asse anteriore tramite manovella posta sul tetto dell'auto. -Cilindri automatici collegati al differenziale (V8) -2 funzioni operate tramite manovella e gearbox.Prima funzione: apertura di entrambe le porte ad ali d'angelo (destra e sinistra). Funziona grazie ad una vite senza fine e un piccolo ingranaggio e un paio di leve che muovono quattro ruote dentate a quattro denti.Seconda funzione:apertura cofano posteriore tramite vite senza fine e un grosso ingranaggio e ha bisogno di un po' di forza per aprirsi ed è un minuscolo difetto. IMPRESSIONI PERSONALI Molto bella l'estetica e la linea, una delle più riuscite della storia della Lego Technic. Il tipo di veicolo è inedito, mai visto non solo nella linea Technic ma in tutta la Lego, molto innovativo anche il colore,come ho detto prima esclusivo. Il problema è che non include le power functons (set 8293) e bisogna comprarle, nei negozi si trivano a circa 35 euro ma qui su Amazon si trovano anche a meno. La parte anteriore mi piace un sacco, è accattivante e ricorda tantissimo le vere vetture da corsa a 24 ore. Sono auto rare ma magari avrete sentito parlare di Le Mans dove gareggiano le vetture LMP in gare molto lunghe appunto di 24 ore. Per cui queste auto sono progettate per resistere 24 ore a velocità molto elevate. Ma vale la pena comprare questo set? Si, specialmente se possedete già la auto da grand prix (42000) che fanno l'accoppiata perfetta. Mi piace tantissimo questo set ed è veramente divertente gicarci assieme. IL B-MODEL Voglio parlare del b-model perchè mi sembra uno dei più riusciti della storia della Technic.Un suv da gara. Tutto il gearbox e il sistema è completamente diverso rispetto al primo e come potete vedere anche l'estetica. Mi piace molto. FUNZIONI -Aprire cofano e porte -Cilindri autamatici mobili tramite differenziale (V8) -2 funzioni operate tramite gearbox.Apertura portellone posteriore tramite vite senza fine,ingranaggio grosso e una leva di collegamento. E la seconda funzione è ritirare i fanali anteriori,funzione molto strana e simpatica. VERDETTO FINALE Fantastico set,innovativo ed esclusivo. PRO: estetica impeccabile,colore esclusivo,begli adesivi,ottimo anche il secondo modello. CONTRO:power functions e istruzioni per costruire il b model non incluse.
