Superb quality, it has it all taste, fragrance and organic. We use it a lot as cooking ingredient in soups, couscous, curries, stir fries and I make my own turmeric tea too! but I also use it in combination with organic black pepper; turmeric and black pepper combo is great for health. Black pepper not only increases bioavailability of turmeric but also provides several other health benefits. The only issue with the turmeric is that most of the curcumin that is ingested gets metabolized before it can get absorbed. Piperine (key chemical in black pepper) is said to help make curcumin more bioavailable.This could be because it could inhibit certain intestinal digestive enzymes. There are lots of scientific evidence about this, for instance one study found that when even 2g of curcumin was ingested, its serum levels were very low. However, when 20mg piperine was added to curcumin the bioavailability increased by 2000%. But some PRECAUTIONS Black pepper must not be consumed in excess of 1 tsp a day when certain medications like digoxin or phenytoin are being taken.The rate at which these medications are cleared by the liver could slow down when black pepper is consumed in excess.Turmeric as spice is considered to be very safe. Turmeric supplements must not be consumed in excess and for long periods. This could cause indigestion, dizziness, nausea or diarrhea.

This is really good quality turmeric. It came as a vibrant yellow and you can definitely tell the difference, after ingesting in high quality of this turmeric. I purchased from another brand previously, on Amazon, and it had a dark orange colour, meaning it had been heavily oxidised. This, on the other hand, is amazing. I'd highly recommend this brand to everyone!

Product arrived promptly, well packaged & in excellent condition. A wonderful spice, lovely woody taste, adds a nice flavour to all curries & spicy food. Can be eaten raw or cooked without destroying the healing properties of the root. Excellent for repairing a brain damaged by fluoride, insecticides & herbicides & fights cancer too. I will definitely be using this seller again, I am very satisfied with my purchase, excellent value for money. 10/10

it's ok, nice colour and flavour. however, if you add too much of turmeric, it makes the dishes taste horrible and inedible. i never had this problem with turmeric from a different company. i only use this turmeric in my soups, gives them nice colour

As I am consuming large quantities for medical therapeutic use it is particularly important for it to be organic, without agrochemical residues. I am told that many do not like the taste. Of nececitaty I have got used to it. When used right in cooking it is a subtle and pleasant contribution to the overall flavour of curries etc. on its own or with just black pepper and olive oil it takes a little getting used to and benefits from the addition of mayonnaise lime juice and garlic . In brandy with black pepper it is ...interesting.

Strong flavour compared to supermarket products makes use economical. Try first before adding to recipient as the flavour can overtake the dish being used to lesser products. I am using for the health benefits as well as the taste. It has good anti inflammatory properties and potentially of ske benefit to cancer sufferers (though early research suggests that this is best for cancers of the intestinal tract as absorption to blood is lower).
