Buyer beware- it's NOT an alkaline PP9!
I was hoping these PP9s would be suitable for our combined smoke/carbon monoxide alarm, but after replacing an Amazon Basics alkaline PP9 for one of these, the alarm started chirping just 7 months after installation. The Amazon Basics can last 12 months without trouble, so I wouldn't recommend PK Cell for smoke/CO alarms. Nowhere on the battery does it say 'alkaline'; instead it has the "6F22" designation, which is based on zinc-carbon chemistry. I didn't know this until I started checking. If you want a long-lasting (i.e. 12 months+) smoke alarm PP9, make sure it's designated "6LR61" or is advertised as 'alkaline battery'.
