FreshJet 3 Series RV Air Conditioner

Arrived damaged and unusable. Refused delivery. They sent replacement. Arrived damaged, the Top section of shroud ha 5 out of the 6 mounting tabs broken. Could not secure top, would blow off during travels. Accepted delivery with the aggreement a new top shroud would be sent. Ultimately they told me to order new shroud and submit reciept for refund. It was aggrevating but all was well in the end. The unit was bought to replace a 10 year old Dometic Briskaire 2. The Freshjet 3 was designed to be backward compatable with the Briskaire. The install was plug and play. Used existing Air box and thermostat. Had to remove the 6 Screws on trim and the 4 long mounting bolts. Make sure to remove the temp sensor in the old unit and insert it in a similar spot on new unit. Works great, much quieter. Upgraded from 13.5K BTU to 15K, no issues and better cooling. Planning on replacing our 2nd unit this summer.

First off this air conditioner works perfect with the old box and analog thermostat that I already had. Plugs right in and is ready to go. Close wonderful cold air. I really love it. Secondly, the website says to replace a dul therm dometic air conditioner with this unit, I should contact Dometic customer service. I contacted them and sent them all the pictures of my existing unit and my thermostat and answered all the questions they wanted to answered. They then told me that I needed a change over control box and they gave me the number to order and a digital thermostat and that would work. So I ordered that which Amazon head. Come to find out the unit worked with my old stuff just fine and the customer service did not advise me correctly. During the process, I thanked them 100 times for their assistance to try to guide me straight, so I didn’t have to keep on with the dilemma about the changeover between digital and analog thermostats. It was all a hoax apparently. So I bought the extra control box and thermostat apparently for nothing. Maybe I will send it back. Maybe I won’t but right now it’s laying in the floor of my RV and it’s running perfect on my old analog thermostat. Bottom line and hope it helps others. This unit will work with your old analog thermostat and the the furnace is still plugged into the same control box I have used all along. As a disclaimer, I will say this is in my case. I replaced my dual therm air conditioner with this unit, and it worked with my old thermostat, which is analog. I love the unit it’s cooling better than ever

I had a Brisk II in my Forest River Toy Hauler and this was an absolute Breeze (pun intended) to install. There was an 8 pin connector inside that just unclipped. You remove 4 bolts and the old unit lifted off, I put the FreshJet in its place, it plugged directly in, tightened the 4 bolts back up and VOILA, 48 degree air blowing out and my camper is back to comfortable! It is much quieter than the Brisk and has more airflow.

This item was improperly Assembled where the cover clips were on the outside rather than inside, the full inside was broken, which prevented the actual motor from spinning the entire exterior Vent frames through all Broken the package was in great condition had no physical damages. This was not FedEx delivery issue It was in fact, the manufacture assembly issue. Now they want to charge me to return the item, even though they themselves sent me a defective damaged item I highly recommend you do not buy from vender. If you think I am the only one look at the other customer review as well. They have very similar reviews. I would upload more photos but the account under my wife’s name and I had to send the photos via her email to Amazon upon inspection 10 minutes after arrival

It is quiet and efficient. It does not come with the interior air distributor or thermostat Perfect for replacement. Comes with roof gasket.

After reading supports, I thought the thermostate control from my old Domatic A/C would work. It would be nice if the adds would offer less expensive wall mount controll panels indtead of $200. unit cover for thoses of use that didn't think we were going to need one. The FreshJet3 Is in deed very fine machine. Looks great on the outside and when you take the cover off it's like compairing looking under the hood of New Lexus to a Model T. Every thing is covered in perfect molded styrafoam . It looks like it's been made to take apart if needed. The FreshJet also has the gasket that meets the mounting surface glued to the it bottom . So you don't need to buy one. My old Domatic one was that way. Also you only need to wash off the area that needs cleaning and don't have to scrape off any stuck on glue. Nice if that Imformation was available in the add before I brought A Gasket??? Installing was easy the only cable comming down off the cooler is the one with 6 prong plug that went together with the one on the old thermostate box. My thermostate control panel has 3 switches The A/C turned on the fan and blower but not the cooler? It just blew the 103 degree air really well but no Cool. I mounted the thermomater that was connected to my Thermostate box about 6 inches up inside the A/C I am wondering if the FreshJet has a Thermomater of it's own? At this point I was instructed by Domatic to take the top off the FreshJet again and get the model # they need. There are a couple of stickers at different places one of wich should have the Mfg # on it. I took several pictures but brcause of the location and the bright sunlight I did't get it all. I'll get it right latter when I can see whats on the screen ;)

I originally ordered two Fogatti 18k btu units. Installed one, it did not move air like the Dometic I took off, it also had issues holding a temp. These were a super simple install. One plug and the sensor to the coil and they were up and running. Move air better then the Dometics I took off and had no problem cooling the 40' class A in 93° days. They look like they should last but only time will tell. Big thing that really surprised me was lack of packing for shipping. It literally was just a unit in a box, nothing else, no foam, no extra cardboard, no bubble wrap. Just the unit in a box so it's no surprise many people receive these units damaged.

This unit is much quieter than the 8 year old Dometic that I had before. It's also lighter and apparently more efficient, I'm very happy. My old control box worked fine with this unit.

Easy to install but didn't blow much cold air
