It is thought that if you have tight Achilles’ tendon your are unable to flex the ankle as much and this puts pressure on the plantar fascia leading to plantar fasciitis. Stretching the Achilles is thought to help. However causes of plantar fasciitis are often unknown.

How much does the stretchboard weigh?

It weighs just under 2.5kg. its brilliant for stretching, though I don't use it every day it has made a massive difference highly recommend. It folds flat so portable....ish.

Does this go up and down to actually exercise the calfs as it looks as if it just stays in one place?

You can adjust the angle/slope, but that is all. It is designed to stretch your calves/achilles tendons/hamstrings, by standing on it with your heel at the bottom without moving, for a few minutes several times a day, and incrementally gradually increasing the slope as you improve

This board allows you to increase your stretch gradually. Stretching reduces the strain on joints, reducing the chance you’ll need knee replacement, less likely to get plantar fasciitis, to name just two benefits. I was told to get one by a foot surgeon and have recommended them to other people: this board has helped all of us.
