Acctim Falkenburg Distressed Mantel Clock Quartz Cream

Plenty of people have commented on this clock so I will just add my own observations: First of all it arrived very promptly the next day although it was ordered on Amazon Prime. It arrived well packaged and undamaged. The actual clock face has a readable size of 4.125” (105mm) in diameter and 4.625” (115mm) outside bezel diameter. It has large fingers (hour & minute) and Roman Numerals printed on the face. The face is NOT green but an off white, maybe it is down to certain peoples eyesight that they describe a green tinge on the face when viewed against the Cream clock body. The body colour is a ‘shabby chic’ matt cream colour although to be honest the ‘shabby chic’ finish does not work that well on such a small sized clock and tends to look more like a quick paint finish that requires another coat. Although this is not really noticeable even at a short distance. The body is very solid and quite heavy and looks to have been machined from a solid block of MDF type material and anyone who has tried to paint MDF will know how the first coat leaves paint streaked areas after the first coat has dried, hence the ‘shabby chic’ finish. Based on the above it would be very easy to re-paint the clock body during home decoration in a colour to match emulsion painted walls or paint décor. The clock bezel appears to be a brass coloured/coated plastic of good quality finish and I assume that the face is also a clear acrylic or similar material and not glass. The clock body is well machined and uniform in shape, but as one person commented, if you look at the clock face on there is a small right to left misalignment of about 3mm of the dial being central to the body, but it is not that noticeable. Inserting the battery (1 AA size, not supplied) is a bit tight, but I found it best to insert the + (positive) end first and then press the battery fully home. The time is easily readable across a normal living room, so I would conclude that for the price and on the proviso that it continues to keep good time, then this clock is a good purchase as a nicely understated Mantle Clock.

Looks good and clear on mantel, light cream colour, hollow light weight plastic but makes tick sound deeper, excellent time keeping, cheap but functional.

It looks exactly like picture. Keeps good time. Definitely not yellow but it is a yellowy cream

I was surprised on getting this clock that it was as big as it was. For some reason I had expected it to be much smaller. It looks good, has a reasonably loud tick, no too intrusive but loud enough to notice when it's stopped. The only negative is there is no second hand, but I'm sure I'll manage without it! All in all, it's really lovely.

Nice looking little clock. However, more yellow than cream and the distressed look just looked like the clock was dirty, therefore returned.

This clock replaces another similar one : had problems reading the time as the hands on the old one were not accurate. Happy with this one on my mantlepiece.

Time will tell. To be honest i repainted it to suit my decor with an emullsion matchpot, "two minute job". Ticking is quite loud, i always remove the clock from my bedroom every night. Happy with it overall. Keeps good time, good price too.

Horloge à aiguilles à chiffre romain, couleur crème, s'adapte très bien sur un buffet de salon quelque soit sa couleur. Pas d'aiguille pour les secondes mais c'est pas plus mal cela évite de confondre les aiguille. Taille standard et pratique si on ne peut pas ou ne veut pas accrocher une horloge à un mur. Un petit peu lourd mais parfait pour le déplacer en cas de besoin. Ne fait pas de bruit. Je recommande

L'aspetto è come si vede in foto...c'è poco da dire... legno consistente e buona fattura di tutti i materiali... insomma non è "cineseria" (o quantomeno se lo è, è fatto bene). La cosa che mi ha stupito di più è che non avendo la lancetta dei secondi, il meccanismo è completamente muto. Non si sente alcun rumore. Ho conosciuto meccanismi molto silenziosi i quali bisognava portarli all'orecchio per avvertire un minimo ticchettio ma mai del tutto silenziosi come questo!
