Experience out-of-the-box comfort in this ventilated hiker. With durable leathers, a supportive footbed, and Vibram traction, all in a versatile package, you won't doubt why Moab stands for Mother-Of-All-Boots. Review: Bliss comfort. - First of all I never owned a pair of merrel shoes before but I have been using other known brands in the past. I'm so happy I found them on desertcart. These merrel walking shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have tried in a very long time. They are very durable and not too heavy shoe. Very well made pair of shoes and sturdy for those long walks. After a day on my feet my feet don't ache or become painful through the day wearing them. The materials of the shoe it self are made of high quality and well put together. These shoes are just snug on your feet but they do take some time to break in. Looking for a sturdy well built walking shoe try these out they are worth every penny. Review: Just the Job - I needed light but rugged shoes for summer dog walking over all terrains. Noting comments of other reviewers, as a 9 1/2 I ordered size 10. Result was a perfect fit - I have never before had shoes so comfortable straight out of the box: snug fit round the heel, roomy toe box, sensible laces. Grip in the dry is superb. Use has exceeded expectations. Durability, of course, is a matter of time; and these shoes will not keep your feet dry in the wet. They are, however, exactly what I needed, I am delighted, and I recommend them unreservedly.

6 Months in... Still Going Strong
I demand a lot from my footwear. I wear the same shoes all day, every day and they get heavy use over a good mixture of terrain. I usually go through a pair of walking shoes in his price range every 4-6 months by which point, the soles are worn and the shoes are falling apart... but not my MOABs. They're still in great condition after the usual abuse. I would highly recommend these for a light but tough walking shoe, though there is a but... But... like many others here, I am slightly disappointed by the lack of water resistance. My original Merrell MOABs were brilliant at keeping your feet dry but I think this time they went too hard on the 'breathable' material, I have had other light, breathable walking shoes that offered more water resistance than these do. Hopefully Merrell will some day provide this quality with increased water resistance at the same price point but who knows. tl;dr, If you want a sturdy, comfortable, lightweight shoe with good grip then you can't go wrong with these but if you find yourself walking through a meadow in the fresh morning dew, you may find yourself wishing you'd chosen something else.

The size dilemma, free returns
Due to the sizing issues with this shoe, my best advice is to obtain a good deal with free returns. I happily paid £63 on Amazon with free returns 😊 I have wide feet and usually take a size 9UK in Clarks, Asics & Brooks. Buying shoes online tends to be hit & miss, especially with having wide feet. After reading other reviews of the Merrell Moab 2 Vent, my best guess was a 9.5UK. For the first 1000 steps around the house I found the left shoe perfect and the right a bit nippy around the toes. After a first 10k walk, mostly on pavements, I've experienced the same, although the tighter right shoe seems to be loosening up. Most importantly, I don't have any blisters and overall I loved my first walk in these. Like others have mentioned, the shoes are very stable and grippy. They are also extremely comfortable. From my first experience, I suggest going a half size up if wearing trainer socks and going for short walks and a full size up for thicker socks and long walks. Free returns is essential unless you are confident about your size.

100% All round walking shoe
Won't consider anyother walking shoes. 100% for comfort. 100% grip in all weather's. 100% value for money. I've probably been whareing Merralls in excess of 10 years. I whare them everyday whatever I'm doing as the are the zenith on mega comfort. They are more acceptable footwear than boots if going out anywhere as in everyday life. Do yourself a massive favour and invest in the best walking shoes that money can buy. Tip. Because there is a sizing issue. Go to any high street store that sells Merralls. Take your usual walking socks with you. Find the size your happy with and buy them on here for approx 50% less than any high street store. Cons. Waterproof is OK however could be better. Need to be more waterproof but once you've put a can of waterproof spray on that usually does the job. However it is recommended to do this 2/3 times a year depending how offen you use them. 100% thoughally recommended. Don't consider anything else. Gets my 100% vote of approval.

Great shoe
Well, having suffered like most over the last three years, buying shoes was a cost saver. But getting out and about, cheap shoes really take their toll. so with spring in the air I treated myself to a pair of Merrells. Wow! I knew they came up a little small so for my 9 1/2 feet I got size 10... perfect. Not shore if it's my feet or the genius of the Merrell shoe maker (got to be them) but they fit so well, straight out of the box I was wearing them all day. At a certain age you might think comfy shoes don't care about what they look like, but with Merrell shoes you have both comfort and style. Now, how far away is Mount Snowdon...😀

Comfortable out of the box but size up!
These replaced an old pair of walking shoes which took a real pounding this year. I'd read the reviews so ordered a larger size. My Columbia shoes are 10, I needed an 11 on these Merrell's to be comfortable. They come with an easily removable insole, I removed it for my custom orthotic, they literally popped straight out. I've worn these shoes for at least 4.5 miles a day for the last 10 weeks and they are still as good as new, no sign of wear or damage. After 45+ miles I'd have expected to see any obvious defects come to the surface, so overall I'm happy with the quality. It's worth noting that these are not waterproof. They are breathable, your feet won't overheat but in anything more than a shower you'll have wet feet, and during the recent colder mornings you'll notice that they won't keep your feet particularly warm either. I'm very happy with these, perfect for what I need them for, they deserve the MOAB tag and I'm happy they'll last me for a few years to come.

Vibram soles are not what I expected
The shoes fit very well and it's comfortable with very good quality materials. It is not as breathable as I would expect for a "vent" model, though, but it's average. The insole has a good supporting arch and looks better quality than shoes of the same category and price range. The reason I am returning this item, however, is that the soles are not what I expected: they are slippery on wet city surfaces (like concrete), rocks, and tree roots on the trail.

Merrell
Great pair of Merrell shoes. Shopped around and found this was best price anywhere. These are a replacement pair and fit and feel as all Merrell products do.

Comfortable, fits well
I am a regular Hiker and i already had couple of pairs of different brand shoes but this one feels and fits the best, not too tight not too loose. My ankles used pain after hiking but since i stated wearing Merrill, not much pain, these are very comfortable shoes Over all Good product and for reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

Parecen Resistentes
Las encuentro resistentes, son un poco pesadas lógicamente, pero cómodas y bien adaptadas a mis pies. Creo que voy hacer muchos km. con ellas.
