Purina Pro Plan Supplements Calming Care, Behavior Support for Cats, 30 ct

This stuff works so well. My sweet 16-year-old kitty crossed the rainbow bridge a month ago. My 14-year-old kitty was with her his entire life. He has spent literally four weeks walking through the house meowing, day and night. The two of them didn’t even seem close, but apparently they loved each other more than I realized, because his grief has been so strong. He is very healthy, but has not been eating much since our other kitty died. I started putting a packet of this powder on his food each day, and he has calmed down and is eating well. He loves the taste and eats immediately when I sprinkle it into his bowl. He isn’t groggy at all, just calmer. It has no smell to me, but it must to him, because he sniffs at the pouch as I pour it. I will continue buying it. It’s a huge relief to see him eat and feel better. I highly, highly recommend it for any cat that has lost another pet, even if the two cats only just tolerate each other.

This calming product is perfect for my cat. It has a good flavor so she actually gets excited when I add it to her food. It’s nice that it is in portion size packets so no measuring required. She is an older cat so she was starting to become more anxious about what seemed like everything. Now she does less pacing around and I feel like she gets better sleep. I have been using it for months and it continues to work for her.

I notice my cat is much more relaxed. Takes a few days to notice a difference. Taste is acceptable to my cat. Not something he LOVES, but he will eat it when mixed into his food. He attacks my other cat much less.

I have the world’s pickiest cat. She doesn’t even like Churu squeezies. I was SHOCKED when she inhaled her food with this sprinkled on it. I have a really hard time getting her to gain weight and I think this will really help her calm down and increase her eating! I only gave 4 stars because I don’t notice a very noticeable calming difference but she does seem happier and less yowling! I’m so impressed!

My Babu came to me with a severely stressed history which makes him beyond nervous. When he literally began jumping from fear of his own shadow and became aggressive I took him to our vet. We began prescriptions to calm him but I wanted to try something less sedating and researched until I found Purina Calming Care supplement. It received fairly high positive reviews on its effectiveness in soothing frayed nerves, encouraging sociability of shy cats, and overall improved behavior. The package states that it may take about 6 weeks of every day supplementing but I noticed a distinct improvement in Babu within a week. It did take about 2 months for him to come sit on the couch with me but he no longer hides under the bed when I’m up and about our apartment; he stays in whatever room I’m in now and seeks me out to play or just hang out. He still hides when someone visits but that’s okay. If the person is soft-spoken and calm, he’ll come out to check them out. He doesn’t like loud, disruptive noise but seems to handle fireworks better. Thunderstorms are no longer scary unless our high rise building gets struck by lightning (often happens), then BOTH of us are under the bed!! LOL!!He prefers broths - Hertz Delectables. As he also doesn’t like to drink water much I combine a packet of the Lil Gravies, a packet of one of the stews, 3/4 packet of fresh filtered water and gently stir in the Calming Care so there aren’t any lumps and everything’s nicely mixed together. When he’s ready he’ll drink it up little by little throughout the evening until it’s all gone. That way he’s at least getting more water per our vet’s recommendation, AND the Calming Care.I suggest giving this a try for nervous, stressed out or behavior issue kitties. But be patient as for some it may take some time to work. Many folks sprinkle it on dry food and remark that their cat won’t eat the food. How many of you will eat cereal with only dry milk sprinkled on?! ICK!!! To get your cat used to it perhaps sprinkle a just little bit on their favorite wet food or broth and mix it in well. You could spread out the serving throughout the day, a little at a time. Entice them with a teaspoon of non-flavored yogurt with a bit of the Calming Care mixed in. Specialized broths made for cats by Caru brand and others are a neat enticement where you can mix it into, as it also serves as a hydration aid.Hope this helps.

This is my first review on Amazon because this product has helped my cat so much!He used to always be sneezing and was such an anxious cat. I got this for him after he had a hard time with our recent move and he LOVES it. I mix it into his wet food every morning and he always looks forward to it. He hasn’t sneezed, his eyes have been clear, and he is back to the brave cat running around the house.

Both cats really enjoyed the flavor. Not sure it had any impact after a month, but one of my cats developed a gut bacteria imbalance that lead to diarrhea while on it. Can’t confirm it was the product, can’t say it was not the product either. Too expensive and don’t want to gamble with my cat’s digestive functions.

We adopted a cat who had a unfortunate past , even spending time as a stray. He is not feral, in fact he is velcro.. a lap cat.. He is not aggressive but he does get overstimulated very easily and can be rather defensive for no apparent reason . He has no teeth so he does not hurt anyone. Our Vet suggested this calming powder. We mix the powder in a broth type cat food every morning when he is the most hungry. He always licks it up, so its easy to give him. I do not notice any odor or side effects. Just one packet per day so each box is a one month supply. So worth it!Between using this calming powder and simply giving him time and a quiet home we have seen so much progress with him as he is slowly tolerating more and more!! As others state, you need to keep using, it is not a one box and your done type thing. Keep using! We strongly do believe the calming powder is definitely making a difference in helping him!! So worth it!!
