Cat is using it!
Haven't gotten as far as to remove any pieces yet, but my cat is definitely using it as a litter box. I believe a few reviews stated that it's difficult to place it without the toilet seat falling - I got a set of $3 bungee cords to tie the seat up and out of the way, and that's worked great, otherwise yes the toilet seat will fall down onto it. Aside from that, it doesn't need anything to keep it in place, it sits firmly on a toilet and doesn't slide around with my 12lb cat jumping on and off. It's definitely awkward to try and use a litter scoop on it because of the crevasses, but the pieces are easy enough to remove with gloves and shake off into the toilet. (also I'd recommend getting flushable litter for making maintenance easy while the cat is in training). I'll hopefully come back in another month with a better report on how the training is going

Too shallow not deep enough
I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it didn’t work for my cat. The litter area is just too shallow. She likes to scratch and move the litter around before and after she goes, and there wasn’t enough depth for her to do that naturally. She became frustrated with it, so we weren’t able to continue the toilet-training process. I think the concept is great, but the tray needs to be deeper to allow cats to dig and cover like they normally would.

UPDATE: Progress Report -- READ THIS ABOUT THE FIT! It may not fit your toilet.
Readaeer Cat Toilet Training Kit Quick Summary • The Bottom Line: A very well-made, heavy-duty plastic trainer with clear 7-week instructions, but fitment is extremely tight on standard American toilets. • The "Workaround": I initially thought this wouldn't fit without removing my seat. However, I discovered that the back lip can slide under the toilet seat hinges. • The Stability Catch: Even with this workaround, the front end sits a fraction of an inch high when empty. It is mostly level and stable enough for use, but it does not sit fully "inside" the rim as intended. • Requirement: You must use water-soluble/flushable litter to avoid clogging your pipes during the transition. This kit does not come with a sample, so order some before you begin. Progress Report: Yesterday, I put my usual clumping cat litter in the piece and put it on top of one of my covered litter boxes. This morning, someone had peed in it, so I cleaned it out. My new flushable litter showed up, so I dumped the old litter in the trash and put flushable litter in the trainer. The trainer is on my toilet today. I’ll report again later. Full Review Build Quality & Construction: The quality of the plastic is excellent; it feels thick, "heavy-duty," and capable of supporting a cat's weight without flexing. The pieces snap together intuitively, and there were no sharp edges or unpleasant factory smells upon unboxing. The 7-week training guide is clear and follows a logical progression from floor to toilet. Critical Fitment & Installation Details: Initially, this trainer appeared too long for my toilet (13 ½" from front lip to back edge), and I believed I would have to remove my seat entirely. However, during a test for photos, I found that the back lip can actually slide under the hinges of the toilet seat. Current Fit Observations: • Leveling: With the back tucked under the hinges, the trainer sits mostly level. The front end (away from the tank) remains raised by a very small fraction of an inch when empty, though the weight of the litter should hold it down securely. • Stability: It feels stable enough for a cat to jump on, but it is not 100% seated inside the porcelain rim. The adhesive tape is currently suspended about ½ inch above the porcelain, though the inner lip of the trainer hole does successfully dip slightly into the toilet bowl rim. • Mess Management: In theory, waste should go directly into the water, but as I know cats, expect to clean around the porcelain rim and flush frequently during the learning phase. Important Preparation Note: The Readaeer instructions recommend using water-soluble litter to prevent clogs, as litter will inevitably fall into the bowl. This kit does not include a sample of flushable litter, so you will need to have that on hand before you can start. Final Verdict: While the materials and instructions are top-tier, measure your clearance carefully. My "under-hinge" workaround made it usable without removing the seat, but it is a very tight fit. If your seat hinges are low-profile or your bowl is shorter than 14 inches, you may still run into stability issues.

Needs major improvement
The idea of this is great.... and it did stick to the toilet really well with the adhesive spots (which means you can't take the cat seat on and off btw). However the chief problem I have with this is that there is no rim (like a toilet seat) to help keep the litter in. Its just a flat surface with troughs to hold a little litter/remove. So if a cat is used to covering up or digging in the litter at all, it goes everywhere. So much so, my cat won't use it. I have even thought about duct taping an actual toilet seat over it. I wish it were a different level for the litter so that I could slowly lessen the amount of litter instead of going from a real litter box to practically nothing before the cat hits plastic. #bathroom a disaster and peed all over everything else in my room instead.

This is my best Amazon purchase ever
This is my best Amazon purchase ever! The design is super convenient. The silica gel litter doesn’t scatter much because the raised edges keep it contained when my cat digs. My kitty figured it out right away — just one day after the toilet training seat arrived, we were already using it successfully! It also has a handle, which makes it easy to lift and move the seat when needed. I’m very happy with this product!

It worked!!!!
My kitty does have outdoor during the day but he is inside at night. I got sick of the kitty litter which he was coming inside to use during the day and the night. I got fed up and got ride of the kitty litter. He started using the garden and I purchased this and didn’t pushed him but every couple of weeks I’d take out another ring, making the whole bigger. I removed it last week and he is now peeing directly into the toilet. As soon as I can get a video of it I’ll post it. I am so excited for my cat and for myself. No more kitty litter…
