Set of 3 Schwarz 26497030 Fuel Paste, Grey

Used for Chinese hotpot in a fondue pot - worked fine, lasted 20 mins or so. Happy with it but seems expensive - although I didn't find anything cheaper out there

As 70s as it is, I love fondue. Fondue is great. What you do need though, if fondue fuel, because it's only really fun (to do) if the cheese/chocolate/whatever actually melts, right? Well, this is indeed fondue fuel. For fondue for two I usually get two uses out of each pot. If you were doing fondue for a party you'd need more. It's got a light odour, but not so much that you notice it once it's lit and you get cooking. It lights readily and the gel seems pretty safe. That said, the foil lids do sometimes stick a bit, which can cause the gel to spill, so open with caution.

For the Hot Stone we have it does the job perfectly. We had trouble with the initial fuel but having sorted it out, we are happy that we have found a supplier that we can not only get the gel fuel, form, but they are a reliable source.

Really great to be able to get a decent gel for a fondue set . One that you can rely on to burn consistently and if you enclose it in foil immediately after first use you may be able to get a full second fondue out of it. Very grateful that Cochranes of Ayr are able to source and supply this. There are a lot of rubbish imitations out there.

Have had these before so expect them to be as easy to use as the last set -much better than using methylated spirits.

Work really well, as expected. Please be careful when using though as the flame is hard to see. Delivery was as expected too.
