Works only when sunlight is on the panel. Any shade likely will stop it. Also find that using the fancy spray heads likely leads to the bird bath getting empty when the wind blows the fountain water out of the bath. Going with a single stream fountain had eliminates this.

I so looked forward to receiving this birdbath bubbler. It arrived without all its parts. And no instructions. I had to go back online to the offer to review how to put it together, and determined that parts were missing. I am sending it back and getting a new one. I hope the new one is complete as I have not found anything else that meets my needs. Update-I received the second bubbler and it was just like the first. I did spend some time reviewing the parts and figured out how I could use it. Again, no instructions. And it was not exactly as pictured in the offer. But I was able to get it to work and am happy with the results. So I have updated my rating. Further update - I am changing my rating yet again. While it worked very nicely while it worked, it quit working in less than 4 months. The concept is wonderful, and I liked everything about how it worked, and the price was good. But it was junk in less than 4 months so not worth purchasing folks.

Not really happy with product

Easy to install, works well but does need full sun. My birds are frequent visitor. Worth the price

This fountain has strong water flow. I wish it had some kind of battery storage system. It works GREAT when it is in full sun, but if even a little shade falls across half of it, the water immediatly quits flowing. I have only been using it for a few days, but I havn't had it clog up. Also, it hasn't run out of water, so I don't know for sure if it will shut off when it goes dry.

Worked for only 1 season. Not worth the money

This item comes with no instructions, so this is what I finally figured out after looking at the product photos on the listing: - The solar panel is NOT a battery—this item only works when the panel is in DIRECT SUNLIGHT. - That means it does NOT work when the sun is behind even the tiniest cloud, or some leaves, or is blocked by your head when you are trying to make the water not spray everywhere. - The little metal thing on the side of the pump must be submerged under water for the pump to operate. - It takes at least three seconds of PERFECT CONDITIONS for the pump to work: the pump must be submerged AND the panel must have the sun’s brightest rays shining directly on it FOR THREE SECONDS or nothing happens. - You need a fairly wide bowl, birdbath, tub, for this to not make a big mess. I have this centered in a low 18” diameter planter that I waterproofed and no matter what nozzle I use at least some water shoots outside the bowl. That may be okay aesthetically in situations that can handle moisture, but it means it is going to expel the water pretty fast, which will lower the waterline below the pump sensor and it’s going to stop working. That is if the sun is not behind a tiny cloud and it’s already not working. - It is cute and I really want to like it but this is not practical or reasonable for the price. - If you haven’t figured it out already, I am going to return this.

Fantastic product. I have truly enjoyed watching the birds dipping in the fountain.

I love this the bird bath wasn't being used ..I don't think the birds could see the water .but now they are using and we are having an extremely hot summer so this is fantastic

Bought this because of the way the pump is housed in a fake rock that looks perfectly natural. Gave a much more appealing look to the bird bath I used it in. The birds were totally at ease with it. Set up lets the pump work perfectly. Done in a blink of an eye. Does not impede the flow of water at all. Very pleased with this. It's been working great for two summers now. Very glad I purchased this.

charming for the garden and not too expensive. big enough solar panel

This is a wee gem, it needs direct sunlight to work, but it works without effort and looks great. Very happy with this purchase.
