Simple, reliable instrument
This hydrometer is easy to use, although reading the scale takes a bit of practice. It was packed in a way designed to stop the glass float rattling around and getting broken in transit, so some assembly was needed, but its easy to work out how everything fits together.

Low cost, good value. sticky
Standard full size glass tube Hydrometer plastic float rubber rubber tube ends and bulb. The components were telescoped to save space for packaging but the glass tube was covered in a sticky goo making it neccessary to clean it carefully using some force to seperate the components to clean and re-assemble. The design is suprisingly good although I am unable measure the accuracy. I had been expecting a plastic tube. The sticky glass tub was hard remove safely to clean for assembly. The mouldings were well designed and fitted well. Pleased with the price and fast delivery. Pleased with the product

Great for the price
Great for the price, quick delivery, would recomend / buy again. Just a quick tip... bought this to replace 1 I broke (different brand).! The nozzel fell of during cleaning... breaking the inner glass float! I used some garden wire to secure the nozzel onto the glass tube...

Good for home
Good item for home use. My professional one is twice as wide so the float floats free. This one the float sticks to the side of the glass BUT saying that, the float still indicated the SG so all is well.
