ProStretch

I have been suffering with tight calves and knee pain,left leg,for some time.Had physio,etc,etc.,and noticed that when I stretched my affected leg backwards and as straight as I could without pain,my leg felt eased.On the basis of this,saw this item and decided to buy.On my very first time, gingerly carrying out the exercises that come in a pamphlet with the item,I noticed an almost immediate feeling of relief from the "tightness".I don't do the advanced exercise yet, slowly, slowly,but even walking up and down stairs is easier,no pain,no stiffness.I am so pleased I bought this and will continue with the exercises which take less than around half an hour daily.Very easy to use,well constructed,and has helped me enormously with my overall movement in practically no time.It's very effective and helped me so much.Definitely recommend.

This is my first review on Amazon and it's a very positive one! I have had a nagging problem with my right Achilles, bottom of foot for some 3 or 4 months which has stopped my burgeoning running career!. There were various exercises suggested to me, such as hanging off the bottom of the stairs, or using a rubber band. They ma possibly have have worked if I had stuck to them but I didn't. However, I have been using the Medi-Dyne for a couple of days and I can honestly say that the improvement has been amazing and my foot/Achilles is now 95%, up from 75%. This product is so easy to use and, from my short experience, is incredibly effective. I am a bit of a cynic and probably would be sceptical if I saw this review written by someone else. However, I am totally genuine and I feel confident that thanks to this product I should be able to start running again within the next few days.

I have been suffering for a number of months with tight calf muscles that cramp up when I run. I have had some intense sports massage on them, which provided some relief but eventually the calf cramps came back when running.Saw some reviews of this and thought I would try it. The device is made of sturdy plastic and looks as if it will last a long time. There is a newer version you can get that is adjustable. The newer version is more expensive than this and from reviews on the internet more prone to breaking.I have been using this for some intensive calf stretching on a daily basis for the last few weeks. (I don't see why you would need the more complex adjustable version.) I started running again this week. Managed 3 runs, with the last one 30 minutes in duration. No calf cramps so far. I'll up-grade the number of stars to 5 once I manage to get up to running an hour without cramping.

I bought this to specifically help with a calf muscle tear I had whilst running, it has made the recovery much faster and now find I use it as part of my running warm up, apparently as you get older the calf muscle needs regular stretching to avoid injury. So this has proved to be useful ongoing from the original purchase purposeThere are a number of stretches on the company website and are well explainedI use it on wooden and tiled kitchen floors and never had it slipThis has been a very useful purchase and would recommend it if you want to maintain calf muscle movement and hopefully reduce injuries

I bought this to got some more flexibility/mobility in my calf. Had used it every day for a month. I did feel it working but think the classic ankle/calf stretches are just as good and they're free.Had problems with an impingement on the front of my ankle when stretching very far on the Medi Dyne. I also felt the bottom driving into the bottom of my heel when stretching far.I guess it would work it you have limited mobility in the calf. I think you should try the the classic calf stretches or even buy a foam roller and use it in conjunction with your stretching and see do you see any change.

As a runner with chronic calf and Achilles problems, I have had physio, orthotics, acupuncture to try and sort out my problems. Turns out that right calfs were a big part of the cause and this device has helped me immensely in correcting that problem. Simple to use yet effective and for less than the cost of one physio visit. I have been signing its praises.
